It's not a put off. I mean, what do you expect from a relative of Darwin. You have the right to believe what you want, and shouldn't matter your beliefs.
Why does every one think that being an athiest is a put off? Just because someone is an athiest does not mean they are going to start arguing about religion with you all the time. I'm christian, but my mother and brother are athiests, and we still get along.
