- This is the second of three videos designed to help you increase speed and accuracy at playing the tune Swallowtail Jig. In this fiddle lesson you can play along with the Swallowtail jig as it slowly speeds up, moving gradually from 53bpm to 83bpm. When you can reach the end of this Swallow Jig Playalong, then move on to the Advanced level video.

I LOST THE PLOT at 83 bbm lol seriously good practice thank you soooo much and thanks to McNeela for taking me here. 😘😘 i kept failing at the first 2 lines before i used to fail on the last two what does that tell me more repeats on first again lol it's like learning to type with 10 fingers but then there is the breath control as well haha . Great stuff .

the problem i seem to be having is that half way through i find myself observing myself and having back ground conversations and i lose the notes haha how bizarre anyone else has that happen? Also i severely underestimate myself pffft this little voice comes out of nowhere: you can't do THAT ... why even try.... and this other one yes i can haha
Glad to hear you’re persevering with the videos, the voice in the mind is a big issue that faces all musicians, and part of the practice is learning to not be effected by this voice, so that it looses its grip and power to influence our performance. Keep at it! :)
