Reasons why is because of the glass bottle there is less of a chance for micro plastics to enter the drink container combined with a more natural sweetener this makes the mexican coke significantly better
Because the only thing u.s. coke is good for being used as a cleaning product. It really gets rid of that rust and cleans stainless steel and silver perfectly. Just do not consume. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of the reasons it taste better is because the ORIGINAL formula was made from "pure cane sugar" which they transitioned out because corn syrup is MUCH cheaper and does not rely on a crop that has very limited places in the United States it can grow at. Oh and also because the "corn industry" pretty much paid off everybody so that corn syrup would be the ONLY thing besides artificial sweeteners that can go into American coke.
I want that product boycotted. I shouldn't have to cut soda with lemonade because it hurts my bladder and my kidneys. We eat plenty of corn. We don't need corn syrup. We had excellent hurricane protection when we had sugar cane crops on the edge of the Everglades.
Coke uses cane sugar in Europe as well. I had no idea what corn syrup tasted like till recently when i ordered sodas from the US, best way i can describe it is that it tastes like spoiled sugar.
I used to work at a Mexican restaurant that had the glass bottle Mexican Coke and nothing, and I mean nothing, hits like a Mexican Coke straight out of the glass bottle.
@rodbelding9523. I was about to say, glass bottles all the way! Plus a different recipe going in! Similarly, the Dr.Pepper that is sold today is NOT the same as was sold in the 1970s! That version was way better!
Please do. I went there for the first time 2 months ago(3 more times since then) and the food made me sick every time, no offence. The food quality in the US really needs to be improved.
The Mexican version has a slightly different flavor than the American but what really makes it stand out, and better in my opinion, is the mex version has cane sugar which doesn't leave a syrupy texture in your mouth and the fizz is more satisfying.
This is what Google's Gemini A.I. has to say: The situation with Coca-Cola sweetener in Mexico is a bit interesting. Traditionally, Coca-Cola in Mexico used cane sugar. This is why many people seek out Mexican Coca-Cola, believing it has a different taste due to the sugar source. However, things have gotten more complex. In 2013, some Mexican Coca-Cola bottlers announced a switch from cane sugar to high-fructose corn syrup [Wikipedia: Mexican Coke]. There was clarification though, stating this change wouldn't affect Coca-Cola specifically exported to the US as "Coca-Cola Nostalgia" products [Wikipedia: Mexican Coke]. So, to answer your question, it depends. Coca-Cola produced in Mexico for export to the US likely still uses cane sugar. Coca-Cola sold within Mexico itself might use cane sugar or high-fructose corn syrup depending on the bottler.
The Mexican version is the original Coke recipe without the actual coke. The soda was originally created as a medicine but failed. The creator accidently made the beverage. It was originally only called Coke because it was made from cocaine but after the FDA was created, or something happened, i forget, they had to remove it and the name changed to coca cola. The second CEO switched to HFCS to lower prices and compete with new competition. It was expensive to get the can sugar from Mexico ... which is why Mexico still uses the cane sugar, they are the largest producers of it. Sorry, I'm a foodie and food nerd. There's a whole series on Hulu about the food that built America.
Made in 1886 with Cocaine and the Cola nut. Originally called Coca-Cola. Ban on cocaine switched it to using caffeine for the boost. Name changed to Coke in the 80s when they tried to change the formula but wasn't successful, which resulted to them bringing the original back which they called Coca Cola Classic. The Coke was changed to Coke 2. Which was still a flop and ended up being sold only in certain countries until it was discontinued. And now it's just Coca Cola again. I'm a cocaholic and I use to work for a distributor.
@@TamaSamoaAnamuaI remember as a kid having two options at the vending machine at the corner market near my house. One was for Coca-Cola, and then way down the machine, the second to last option, was Coke. That was made in response to the Pepsi Challenge earlier in the 80s where people preferred the sweeter taste of Pepsi. What they didn’t take into account was that consumers ended up not liking the sweeter taste when they consumed an entire can or bottle of Pepsi. It was too sweet and many people turned to Coca-Cola Classic. New Coke failed for similar reasons. Well, that and the fact that you don’t mess with Americana! As much as I’ve always preferred Coca-Cola, there was one Pepsi product I was absolutely obsessed with: Crystal Clear Pepsi. It existed briefly in my tween/early teen years. Loved it. Loved the smell. Loved the taste. Loved that it was clear. Loved that I was 12 and could drink endless amounts of it and not gain weight.
He had to keep the conditions of how both cokes were served the same so as to limit any differences that could in turn bring about differences in taste.

as a mexican, I can say that there's even a difference in taste between the various containers. we have plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans. glass is best, bht there even a difference between the taste of liter bottles, half, liter, 12 ounce and 4 ounce mini bottles. I would say 12 oz is the best tasting.
Very true, glass is best then plastic is ok and cans are the worst. I will take a plastic bottle over a can every time and glass bottle over everything else always. I was so glad that pepsi brought back mountain dew with real sugar, I just wish they'd sell it in glass bottles!
id say this is very psychological, but I agree. It does taste better. Also, if you go to a local Costco or something similar, all the glass bottles have cane sugar coca-cola. I noticed quite a bit difference when i first tried it. 100% worth it.
U need to go to the little town stores cuse they still hand make them the original way just big stores like HEB, Walmart etc make them like USA trust me I'm a Mexican my self😊😊😊
Btw, glass bottles are the best way to enjoy a beverage. Glass acts neutral to any liquid and won't alter the taste. Cans take some of the taste "away" and plastic bottles add a bit of that plastic taste.
Here in Fiji we stopped getting glass bottled coke about twenty years ago and still to this day most people who were alive to drink it, say that the glass bottled cokes tasted way better than the plastic bottles of today.
We have a Mexican restaurant a couple blocks from our house and I often stop for a Coke. Much better than American Coke and I do believe it’s because of the real cane sugar.
Thankfully there's a gas station by my house that keeps a low stock of Mexican coke. The bottle cap colors are always different tho lol. I still haven't quite figured out the difference between green, yellow and red caps 😅

Reasons why is because of the glass bottle there is less of a chance for micro plastics to enter the drink container combined with a more natural sweetener this makes the mexican coke significantly better
So that's why it's more sacred than water in Southern Mexico
Coke in a glass bottle somehow tastes better than in a plastic bottle I don’t know why but it does
Why do corporations from the U.S. treat the citizens who buy their products like trash? SICKENING.
Because the only thing u.s. coke is good for being used as a cleaning product. It really gets rid of that rust and cleans stainless steel and silver perfectly. Just do not consume. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
MONEY!!!
Because you guys buy it anyway. The US is a craddle of consumptionism
@@araen11not everyone can grow their own crops and raise animals to provide meat....we don't live in the 1800s
One word....MONEY
One of the reasons it taste better is because the ORIGINAL formula was made from "pure cane sugar" which they transitioned out because corn syrup is MUCH cheaper and does not rely on a crop that has very limited places in the United States it can grow at. Oh and also because the "corn industry" pretty much paid off everybody so that corn syrup would be the ONLY thing besides artificial sweeteners that can go into American coke.
Forgot to mention that the original version of Coca-Cola included cochise, hence the Coca-Cola in the name!😮
@@lindabriggs5118Cochise?
@@lindabriggs5118 EVERYTHING was pure with the "original" formula ! lol😆👍
Don't forget the original had coke😊
I want that product boycotted. I shouldn't have to cut soda with lemonade because it hurts my bladder and my kidneys. We eat plenty of corn. We don't need corn syrup. We had excellent hurricane protection when we had sugar cane crops on the edge of the Everglades.
Even water from a GLASS bottle tastes better than in plastic.
Coke uses cane sugar in Europe as well.
I had no idea what corn syrup tasted like till recently when i ordered sodas from the US, best way i can describe it is that it tastes like spoiled sugar.
I used to work at a Mexican restaurant that had the glass bottle Mexican Coke and nothing, and I mean nothing, hits like a Mexican Coke straight out of the glass bottle.
same with a Mexican Sprite. They just hit the spot
@rodbelding9523. I was about to say, glass bottles all the way! Plus a different recipe going in! Similarly, the Dr.Pepper that is sold today is NOT the same as was sold in the 1970s! That version was way better!
Nothing hits like mexican coke... 👀
It's time for Americans to put our foot down and insist on higher quality ingredients in our food products.
Hit um in the pocket. That's the real way to make changes but we're a culture of convenience seemingly unable to unite for such causes, sadly. lol

Please do. I went there for the first time 2 months ago(3 more times since then) and the food made me sick every time, no offence. The food quality in the US really needs to be improved.

Where are the: "as a mexican" "being mexican" "Im mexican and.."

The Mexican version has a slightly different flavor than the American but what really makes it stand out, and better in my opinion, is the mex version has cane sugar which doesn't leave a syrupy texture in your mouth and the fizz is more satisfying.
💯
The Mexican cola DOES taste so much better! It’s like the Coke Cola I had growing up in the 60’s. I only buy that kind now.😌
It’s a placebo effects there is literally no difference
@@someonewhoisyou4643difference exist, usa made it with corn sugar and mex with sugar cane
Where u get mex. Cola?
Mexican coke taste alittle different but I wouldn’t say it’s better tho
Yeah they put coke in coke
That's why mexico has the highest percentage of diabetic ppl.
Check your local taco shop. They usually stock the Mexico bottled coke and it tastes like the older version. It's very good!
I agree❤
Okay.
It’s made with coca
They sell them in a 24 pack at Costco
Good point! .... thx
All the soda drinks that come from Mexico have a better taste then the USA versions
It's because all of the foreign sodas use actual cane sugar and not that poisonous HFC.
@@slicksnewonenowExactly 💯
And food too
Bro took the exact same amount of each in the first sip
What you described is exactly how I'd describe coke from a plastic bottle vs. coke from a glass bottle
They are the biggest producers because they are, unfortunately, the biggest consumers
It wasn't made from cocaine, it was made with cocaine
Yes because it's in a glass bottle it healthier also! Plastic is bad for our health

DO NOT POOR THE MEXICAN COKE IN A GLASS. The best feeling is drinking it cold from the glass bottle.
Sometimies the can is great too
Also taste better if you put it on a transparent plastic bag with a straw
He had to keep the conditions of how both cokes were served the same so as to limit any differences that could in turn bring about differences in taste.
Poor? Pour.
I second this, the carbonation releases rapidly and the ice dilutes the taste when poured (especially against the ice instead of down the side)
Mexican coke taste even better when you drink it directly out the glass bottle. Make sure it's ice cold❤
Tastes better with rum.
They use cane sugar here in Europe aswell
Let me tell you guys that swigging out of the bottle makes it even that much better!
Absolutely. What is sad is our Coke used to taste like the Mexico version. I live in Tucson. There is a deli here that sells it. At least once a month I get my fix with a really great pizza

as a mexican, I can say that there's even a difference in taste between the various containers. we have plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans. glass is best, bht there even a difference between the taste of liter bottles, half, liter, 12 ounce and 4 ounce mini bottles.
This is true wherever you are im from philippines the glass bottles taste good compare to plastic or cans

The one grocery store I go sells mexican coke in the international foods section kinda pricey but a good treat every so often
Unfortunately, Mexico has begun using high fructose corn syrup and the flavor has dramatically changed for the worse. I am so sad now.

The glass bottle is the difference 👌
Btw, glass bottles are the best way to enjoy a beverage. Glass acts neutral to any liquid and won't alter the taste. Cans take some of the taste "away" and plastic bottles add a bit of that plastic taste.

Mexican coke is also more visually appealing.

Bottles gives you more bite (i.e, keeps the carbonation much better) for starters. Plus cane sugar just tastes better than HFC. :)
