It’s common knowledge that emotions effect (or affect idk) our behavior. When people are sad they isolate themselves. When people are angry they treat others with disrespect. I believe the the left has created an emotional narrative to cause people to form certain opinions, vote for illogical ideas, and represent unethical morality. My theory is that the left can control people emotionally whether or not they agree with them so that the left can pass bills supporting their own agenda.

Which is kinda funny if it weren't so tragic for the one's being involved.
The insinuation was that unless the kid leaves college and gives his place as a college student to a minority, he is being a hypocrite. I don't think that is how it works. If a person is concerned with deforestation, the person doesn't necessarily have to plant trees in his front hard to avoid being labeled a hypocrite. Once I discharged from the military I went to college and that was the first time I realized how bad the indoctrination is in higher education. It is unfortunate that colleges are filled with bias professors that are able to manipulate young kids fresh out of highschool into their way of thinking. At that age you’re so impressionable and have no real life experience so when an adult in a professional setting “teaches” you something you autmatically assume it to be true. It’s cyclical.

He is asking questions, why was there an affirmative action carried out by the government to help whites achieve middle class prosperity while blacks did not get the same? Even if Mother Theresa herself were in his shoes saying the same words that he said, it doesn't change the argument that he's trying to make. A personal attack is an insult or an unsubstantiated accusation. This was simple fact and truth. Sometimes it hurts to be wrong. Butt-hurts in your case apparently.
Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is now usually understood as a logical fallacy in which an argument is rebutted by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.------ In this quote, D'Souza is essentially admitting that he is making an ad hominem attack to deflect away from the student's core argument. He is admitting to his own logical fallacy.
Notice the gentleman to the left of the student? That's one of his professors who probably didn't have the guts to do it himself so he encouraged one of his "prize" students to engage Mr. D'Souza. And also notice to his right the lady who eggs him on as if she is coaching him. Also notice as the conversation moves forward and Mr. D'Souza presses the "student" to act on his personal sense of virtue and divest himself of his own "white privilege", he begins to look around for someone to come to his aid and help him.

I’m Native American and I have never felt oppressed. My reparations are living in a country with so many opportunities. Here’s something that you never hear talked about. Black immigrants escape poverty at a drastically higher rate than American black people. Why is that? Cause they come here with a hard work ethic and not a victim mentality
I disagree... I am a black American currently in school to get my doctorate in nursing. My brother is an engineer and back in school to get his Masters at one of the most presigous universities in America...and my sister is completing her pre-reqs for med school. Let's put this in perspective. In 2019, 46.8 million Americans identified as black while there were 4.2 million black immigrants in 2016, according to PEW Research. Of course, when you compare those numbers, statically, there is a higher percentage of black immigrants "working hard." Would those statistics still hold true if compared to the blacks living in the country from which black immigrants migrated from? It's stands to reason that one who would invest so much to leave their home would make the most out of the opportunities given them. Just food for thought. May God continue to bless you both.
@Tom Martyn thanks Tom for your response. My apologies for any confusion. My main point, which may not have come across clearly, is that statistically black immigrants "work hard" or "harder" than the black American, however, those statistics are based on an almost 40 million population difference between the two. Does that compare to the natives that remain in their country? Are they equally as hard working as their immigrant counterpart? Maybe they were just hard-working individuals to begin with... and when compared to their native kinsmen, they may be the minority or maybe they aren't and everyone in that country is hard working. I can't say. Anyhow, while statistics still speak volumes... I turn your attention to the following article/ data... which states... "Black immigrants hold degrees at a similar rate as the U.S. foreign-born population-26% of the foreign-born black population ages 25 and older has at least a bachelor’s degree, comparable to 28% of all U.S. immigrants. But there are striking differences when comparing black immigrants with Asian immigrants and with Hispanic immigrants. Among those 25 and older, 50% of all Asian immigrants have completed at least a four-year degree; but only 11% of Hispanic immigrants have done so." +wufongtan wufong You didn't pay attention to the young gentleman's points. What he presents is a genuine argument for the privilege that white families have developed over the years. The GI Bill + lower rates on Mortgages among other benefits weren't taken by non-whites. He makes a living by tearing bodies filled with stupidity , misconceptions , erroneous theories, misquoted history, Communist/Nazi bloated jingoisms and exposing their blood to the sun . Funny how they turn into ashes.
Actually, the guy on the stage didn't accomplish anything at all other than present a strawman argument. The kid never claimed whites should give EVERYTHING up. Just that they provide SOME compensation to those that they stepped on in order to help whites accomplish what they have. So, to equate this to college, what D'Souza (the guy on the stage) should have asked is whether the kid would be willing to do something like pay more for college so minorities could attend at a lower cost... or maybe that he have to score higher on admissions type tests. And I suspect the kid would be more than willing to do this... technically, he probably already is doing it thanks to various programs design to help minorities get in and afford college. Bottom line, the kid's white privilege may have HELPED him, but that doesn't mean he hasn't had to put in any effort himself. He shouldn't have to give up what he has worked for... just that which he didn't work for. That is the point he was indirectly making. He simply worded it that instead of just giving up the percentage we haven't earned, that we transfer it to those that have more than earned it either directly or indirectly because of our actions. Btw, I'm not necessarily saying I agree with the kid. Just pointing out that this is his point... that D'Souza never directly addresses his point... that D'Souza instead creates a strawman argument... and that the kid most likely IS providing this kind of compensation to at least some small degree by not only volunteering his time to tutor the less fortunate but probably also had to score higher to get into college than many minorities... and is probably paying more for tuition than various minorities. I don't know his finances and stuff of course though.
***** Exactly. There is no way to tell how much one has benefited. However, to assume it is 100% is utterly ridiculous. Do you REALLY think that if this kid had sat around playing video games at home and never showed up for classes, done homework and studied, that he would have graduated from high school, let alone make it into this college? Really? Maybe it would be easier for you to see my point if you looked at it from the opposite point of view. There is no way you can conclude that a poor black kid with possibly failing grades would have scored well in high school and earned his position in this college had white privilege not existed. So, using your logic that would mean that he shouldn't get any help at all... let alone that the white guy give up EVERYTHING for him... right? Again, this is clearly a strawman argument. The kid clearly was saying that he BENEFITTED... not that he owed 100% of his accomplishments to white privilege. Thus, the logical counter argument would be whether he would be willing to give back SOMETHING... not everything. And that something would be in the form of stuff like maybe tutoring less fortunate... or him paying more for his tuition so that a minority person can pay less... etc. And as I've said, odds are he probably already is doing some of this... and I'm pretty positive he would be more than willing to do more in this area. Which is why D'Souva felt it was necessary to create the strawman argument and to push the price to be paid to the utter extreme.
***** You seem to be on the same page as the kid though. That there is often a benefit to being the same color as the majority. Especially if that benefit was a major one in the past that resulted in financial and other benefits that have been passed down through the generations to a certain degree. At the same time, you seem to disagree with D'Souva that the argument being made is that one should have to give up everything in order to compensate. As the kid seems to be saying, all minorities probably need in order to compensate is a hand up... not a HUGE hand out as D'Souva wants to turn the argument into. His argument is that if you aren't willing to give up EVERYTHING then your argument that you should give up anything is invalid. And that is a massively faulty argument. One which someone of his caliber should be ashamed to present... especially to a young non professional debater.

I'm currently taking Sociology 101 and it's nothing but Liberal propaganda. The chapter I'm reading from the text book this week is called, "Racism without Racists."
I took sociology as a complimentary course to my major at the university of Iowa. We discussed things like moving from class to class, effects of poverty, history of discrimination, and studied some court cases that pertained to laws those topics. Weirdly enough, we did study the "wage" gap that was correctly referred to as the earnings gap. And we talked about how the earnings gap was created by time off, different jobs worked, different jobs pursued, and pregnancy. It was never racism and it was never systematic oppression. It's weird how now people are learning different things. But this was 5 years ago, so maybe I got out of college just in time.
"That's the problem with the progressivism that marches behind social justice while protecting its own privileges" - Dinesh D'Souza. Best way of describing progressivism I've ever heard.

Called him out on his "acknowledging his privilege" yet he isnt willing to give his seat up to a poor disadvantaged minority. The last 4 minutes is nothing but pure destruction.
Michael Jackson ummmm, first of all, you are missing the entire point to his argument... 1... What he is saying IS,.. If this guy feels so strongly that white privilege exists, he needs to lead the way in making that change, by giving up, his cushy education at Amherst, and give it to an individual. Just as intelligent, that is being denied the same opportunity to go to such a prestigious university, simply because of his or her race.. By making excuses for himself, as to why he will not do that. Proves what a hypocrite he is. And makes his argument, seem disingenuous and only serves as to make himself seem "better". Than the average white person. Because, he recognizes his "privilege", and his inherent guilt. Which is a load of bullshit... Which he proved by backing up, when Denesh challenged hid position... 2... There is no systematic racism.. There are plenty of programs in place as we speak to afford minorities the opportunity of a great education. And quota requirements for diversity at some school's guarantees that a person of color WILL be accepted over a more qualified white student.. And has been proven to have happened, on several occasions.. 3... Like Denesh said, how do we decide who pays and who receives?? My family never owned slaves, nor did they oppose the civil rights movement... Why do I have to pay for something I nor anyone in my family is responsible for?? I certainly haven't benefitted from any "white privilege".. I worked a full time job, and went to school full-time. I paid for my OWN classes. Because I was denied ANY assistance. Because, I was under 25 and the state considered me a dependent student upon my parents.. Even though, I lived in my OWN... So where was my "privilege" for the color of my skin?? 4... The only privilege in America today, is class privilege. Regardless of race. How many upper middle class and above, black people are harassed by cops, or shot in the streets, or denied access to EVERY whim??? PLEASE, state me an example.
Michael Jackson No, I didn't "repeat" what you said. Dinesh is correct, this guy is a hypocrite. SJW, are the VERY definition of hypocrisy and double standards... You just proved, THAT... ANY time a person brings forth an argument that refutes your drivel. It is always the same... "We aren't taking about THAT".. Yet it totally disproves YOUR argument.. Debating isn't really a thing you all like?? Give me specific examples of a system in place as we speak that oppresses or denies certain basic needs or even privileges to ANY person based on their race?? Like I said, it is a class issue, who h you just proved with your statement of.. "Just ask all the poor, uneducated, whites of the South". Which btw, was a stereotypical statement. And isn't in the least true. That implies that there aren't ANY "poor, uneducated whites" in the North?? Which Mensa Reject is 100% correct... The Democratic party was, is and always will be an elitist group... You want to see a "system of racism"? Look no further than ANY major city ran by them, black and white... Detroit Michigan, has been under Democratic rule for 57 years... And 90% of the government leaders are black... A Democratic President signed NAFTA, that essentially destroyed the industry in Detroit. Flint Michigan 54 years of Democratic government leaders... Same sad tale... I could go on, but you get the point. You are buying the propagandists lie... That started many years ago.. "White privilege" is a myth, "systematic racism" is a myth.. Racism exist, because it is perpetuated by media, entertainment, the government, etc... The ONLY one keeping ANYONE down, is THEM. Because, they refuse to walk off the Government Plantation. THAT is a fact. IF white Americans were truly benefiting from a "system" set up in their favor today. And had this agenda to oppress the black race,... WHY wouldn't they go after the wealthy?? You know, the individuals that are in positions of power, privilege, and status??? Why bother with the poor, uneducated?? They would be of no concern. A person worth millions of dollars, in a influential position.. Would!
You learn by asking questions and being willing to be challenged. Good for him for standing up and asking and be willing to be proven wrong. I hope he learnt from this and will keep searching.
Doubt it! That is also the huge blind spot for the Left/Democratic Party. Even when everything they do fails or is destructive, they just move on to another idiotic statement/program.
At least the kid engaged in a legitimate conversation. Pretty sad that the leftists (and college in general) have lowered the bar so low that simply talking and stating a position, rather than screaming, shouting, calling names, walking out, banning, or shutting down, is considered a rare instance and a "step in the right direction".
@El Duderino True, but as I said, leftists have set the bar so low, that simply NOT calling him a racist, Nazi, fascist, or not having the whole audience chanting against Ben, makes the guy look good and earns credit. It's a sad state that it's come to this, but this is what our schools and the left have produced.
@El Duderino That's insane. The kid was very clear and made a very valid point. What in the world are you talking about? Insane? That people have it better than others after having a rough start culturally in the country? Please explain how what he said was illegitimate before you embarrass yourself. He's engaged in intellectual theory without the need to shame and insult the person he's debating. Something I see over and over that conservatives do.
Social justice is a mirage. We reap what we sow. It's pretty simple. Live a life of dignity, graciousness, kindness, even when offended, belittled, persecuted and white or black, red or yellow, green or blue, you will be blessed, beloved. If coupled with industry, humility, perseverance there is no human being in these United States who will not only provide for his family, but he will more than likely be successful, perhaps beyond his or her wildest dreams.
If that's the victim-hood you're hoping for, then it might be true. In the real world, that is a lie. Sorry, I realize it is not Politically Correct to disagree with a Right Wing Fundamentalist.

I wish they also showed that grey-haired lady's reaction when Dinesh made his final response. That student might be a bit misguided, but he seems intelligent and thoughtful. That lady is clearly the one who's been brainwashing him with her radical ideas.
Left Authoritarians. Professors preach ideas and notions expecting students to "live" them "for thier own good" So, here's a few notions. "I must obtain the standard of my group to feel good about myself" -- this young man's teacher exploits her position over her eager students to manipulate her own agenda. "I must obtain approval from my group in order to feel good about myself" -- this young man's teacher uses her status to lord over the group and establish an approval hierarchy. "Those who fail to fall-in with the group do not deserve love and should be punished" -- this young man's teacher leads her group to lynch type encounters to show what happens to outsiders. "My identity is the group and I cannot change my identity" -- this young man's teacher abuses the eager malleability of her students and convinces them to be ashamed of betraying the group. This teacher's agenda is to pass on her own shame to subordinates to numb the anguish of her own failures and weakness.
What gets me is, while the professors are filling their students heads with all this socialist crap, not one student actually thinks for themselves and asks, "If you are so against capitalism, why are you accepting your quarter of a million dollar a year salary? Why are you living in a big fancy house? Why are you driving a BMW to 'work'? Why is it OK for YOU to live this way, but you demand no one else be allowed to?".
Imagine a bird that flies above the forest but never lands. That bird would define a tree as a bunch of leaves. This is how rich kids in universities look at every discussion of class.
A lot of people mocking this college student, but at least he engaged in a conversation. He is way classier than all the idiots whose only arguments consist of three word slogans, violence and shutting down speakers. Kudos to the kid for putting forth an arguments, whether you agree with him or not.
I agree. Good for him. He stood up asked his question and even tried to defend his position. All in a way that was neither threatening or argumentative but still somewhat passionate. Although a little to confused for passionate. This is what I think a safe space at a college should be. A place where you can ask questions, give your opinion on things as well as listen to the opinion of others with a different view point. Who knows maybe you'll change their mind or they will change yours.
It looked like he was performing for the bouncing animated "educator" siting near him! Parroting the dumb-down agitprop so many books on Dumb down education point out! This all is nothing more than the never ending war of Good Vs. Evil I.E. God Vs. Satan! And Satan will own the majority / [body count] like forever.
His gender studies teacher sitting there convinced him that if he used as many words as possible to confuse and conquer the audience to his side that not having a precise argument wouldn't matter.

*LCJEFF:* Exactly!! What he spewed was so much arrogant, willfully ignorant bafflegab!! He didn't have a single clue about what Mr. D'Souza was trying to get across to him!!
You will see this at rallies too - if someone starts interviewing a random protestor, very soon a 'controller' will come over and try and take over or shutdown the interview completely, at which point the interviewee will also start to look very nervous and twitchy. The key thing then is to point out to the interviewee how nervous they are when in the presence of their controller and the extent to which their thoughts seem to be under control. No-one in a cult ever recognises they are in a cult - they usually think that they volunteered and are free to leave any time.
Professors are a problem... but the biggest problem is that the parents are not raising kids to think and learn for themselves... therefore they become mouths or puppets of those who are placed before them (professors) claiming they are wise and all knowing.
@@markw9285 I think you are biased in your response rather than watching the video and observing what is happening. If she (his minder) were wanting him to express himself she would have done that to get him to the Mic. Instead she is there giving tips for a counter argument. This is why it is great that in this debate responsibility for his opinion was put squarely on his shoulders.
I believe that I work hard enough to give my kids privileges that other kids don't have. Do I feel bad about it? No. other people's kids are not my responsibility. I do teach my kids that they are blessed and not to take it for granted and I hold them accountable when they fall short and no excuses. Something that most parents don't do because they want to be "cool" they want to be the "friend" parent. I'm a parent period.
Hard work doesn't always win out at the end of the day. That's why social programs need to exist. Yes you need to teach kids to "be responsible" and to "work hard" but thats not enough in a capitalist society that creates poverty. I agree w/ the "friend" parent though.
you can't be a friend parent; friends = equal footing. You can be an open and allow your kids to make small mistakes. Social programs are fine if they are there to cushion your fall and get you back to work. USA disability program originally intended for people for true physical (bi-quadraplegic) disability and mental disability (severe schizophrenia) so that one can scrap by in life with basic housing and food; but vast populations of "back pain" and diabetes, walking around without the need of a cane, have claimed disability and been living off tax payers back. Medicaid programs that paid 100% of ER visits...so parents take their kid with a cold to the ER and not wait for a doctor office visit in 3 days. Inner cities teenagers having kids because govt will send them a check. In the 1960s Americans were ashamed to be on food stamps because they can't be their own man/woman; Today...it is my right to get food stamps and disability check.
Enigma Syndicate You can be a friend, just not always a friend. Sometimes being a friend means you have to be harsh. Yes all social programs need to keep people independent. And yes people do abuse the system and its imperfect. However thats not excuse to scrap it. Just change it.
"That's the problem with the progressivism that marches behind social justice while protecting its own privileges." Well done, Sir - that's some impressive phraseology right there - especially as it's produced under pressure.

@@drdoomer8553 "So it’s bad to want to progress other people’s lives without hindering your own?" If you want to progress other people's lives by _hindering your kith and kin's lives _*_but not your own life?_* *YES.* Yes, that is indeed a bad thing! I present Exhibit A, the very recent debacle with Ben & Jerry's using Twitter to make an Independence Day statement shaming the United States of America for existing on land that was, at least in part, taken from the Native American tribes by force. Numerous people replied to Ben & Jerry's by pointing out that _the Ben & Jerry's headquarters in Vermont itself_ stands on land which was once the home of the Abenaki tribe before the Abenaki were driven out by the emigrating English settlers, then challenged Ben & Jerry's to put their money where their mouth is and take the first step to righting this wrong by _giving their land back to the Abenaki tribe._ Then Chief Don Stevens of the Coosuk Abenaki Nation followed up on the idea by reaching out to Ben & Jerry's, publically stating that, as Chief, he is always watching for opportunities to advance the welfare of Indigenous American peoples and that he was looking forward to hearing back from Ben & Jerry's, so that they could negotiate the transfer of that land from Ben & Jerry's to the Abenaki people. Ben & Jerry's response thus far? Silence. So clearly Ben & Jerry's is perfectly willing to return _other people's_ land to the Native Americans, but they won't return _their own._ And that's what's wrong with White Liberals howling for Reparations and such; hypocrisy is quite the grave character flaw. Who are they to tell _anyone else_ what they should do - and what personal sacrifices they should make - if they refuse to lead from the front and enter the breech themselves?

Notice the gentleman to the left of the student? That's one of his professors who probably didn't have the guts to do it himself so he encouraged one of his "prize" students to engage Mr. D'Souza. And also notice to his right the lady who eggs him on as if she is coaching him. Also notice as the conversation moves forward and Mr. D'Souza presses the "student" to act on his personal sense of virtue and divest himself of his own "white privilege", he begins to look around for someone to come to his aid and help him.
+Mortimer Snerd It's the FEMALE to the right as well - the one with the gray hair and hippie ears.

The interesting conversation is what happens an hour after this, when all the progressive whack jobs are patting each other's backs. The Professor of nonsense will chastise the student on what he should have said. That poor kid and his white guilt was trying so hard to sit down before D'Souza engaged him fully.

@@Jdeneik Well, I’m thinking they got it when Dinesh said, Give up your seat to someone less fortunate.’ Suddenly HIS white privilege went out the window.
Yesss!!! I’m a black immigrant and this is true
@@NaturallyBlessed4C I don’t even understand your response. You’re saying that yes black immigrants do work harder but only because they immigrated?
Among those 25 and older, 50% of all Asian immigrants have completed at least a four-year degree; but only 11% of Hispanic immigrants have done so."

@@NaturallyBlessed4C I think something that also isn’t talked about is broken homes. African immigrants promote nuclear families a lot more than black Americans. Yeah, it's funny how the concept of white privilege is always profused used by RICH white people.
Stop projecting your feelings of guilt onto all of us. You feel "privileged" because you are rich, not because you are white. There are millions of working class, barely scraping by on two incomes whites in America.
Not that I'm socialist (I firmly believe in the superiority of capitalism) but the only real privilege is wealth.
Interesting how in the 21st century that privilege is hidden away behind bullshit divisive indentity politics.
+wufongtan wufong You didn't pay attention to the young gentleman's points. What he presents is a genuine argument for the privilege that white families have developed over the years. The GI Bill + lower rates on Mortgages among other benefits weren't taken by non-whites. So when blacks failed to acquire quality homes and whites afforded similar middle-class homes, segregation bloomed.
That said, to answer D'Souza: "I would never abandon my seat in my university. I know my black equal wouldn't step down so I won't miss out on an education."

Ouch! Mr. D'Souza hit him hard. The kid deserved it too. He was pontificating about how immoral America has been and (to him)still is, but he was unwilling to take an honest look at himself.

He killed himself.
I don't know who the guy on stage is but he just ripped that kid a new one
It is beautiful. This debate was really good.
*****
Exactly.
*****
You seem to be on the same page as the kid though.
This kid is genuinely nice, just genuinely mislead.

Uneducated unemployed whites of the South?

Would!
***** lol,... true. I don't know why I bother.. Liberalism is a mental disorder... Very sad... smh
Learnt?? Moron..

Because they advocate the normalization of hedonism.

She attempts to get a clapping support group going to lend credibility to the kid's points. Amateur move.
@El Duderino
True, but as I said, leftists have set the bar so low, that simply NOT calling him a racist, Nazi, fascist, or not having the whole audience chanting against Ben, makes the guy look good and earns credit.
Good on him for engaging honestly

Okay, but the point the student was getting at is that ideally _hypothetically_ there shouldn't be a need to address any socioeconomic disparity. And D'Souza responded to the _hypothetical situation_ by pointing out that the _hypothetical situation_ wasn't feasible. 🙄
For sure the kid and his mentor in the white straight jacked 8 times inoculated and will not be a problem in society, cause they had a coincidence and climate change got them. They defiantly owned a gas stove.

I wish they also showed that grey-haired lady's reaction when Dinesh made his final response. That student might be a bit misguided, but he seems intelligent and thoughtful. That lady is clearly the one who's been brainwashing him with her radical ideas.
Left Authoritarians.
Professors preach ideas and notions expecting students to "live" them "for thier own good"
So, here's a few notions.
"I must obtain the standard of my group to feel good about myself"
-- this young man's teacher exploits her position over her eager students to manipulate her own agenda.
"I must obtain approval from my group in order to feel good about myself"
-- this young man's teacher uses her status to lord over the group and establish an approval hierarchy.
"Those who fail to fall-in with the group do not deserve love and should be punished"
-- this young man's teacher leads her group to lynch type encounters to show what happens to outsiders.
"My identity is the group and I cannot change my identity"
-- this young man's teacher abuses the eager malleability of her students and convinces them to be ashamed of betraying the group.

That closing statement was really powerful! You could tell that was calculated and he executed it brilliantly.
A lot of people mocking this college student, but at least he engaged in a conversation. He is way classier than all the idiots whose only arguments consist of three word slogans, violence and shutting down speakers. Kudos to the kid for putting forth an arguments, whether you agree with him or not.
Good point. He got destroyed, but he stood there and took it and was quite polite.
His gender studies teacher sitting there convinced him that if he used as many words as possible to confuse and conquer the audience to his side that not having a precise argument wouldn't matter.

For half a second I almost felt like I was listening to another Obama speech.
Who is that witch in the white jacket? "EDUCATE HIM!" WTF?
You can observe his mentor that he keeps looking at to his right. It's the professors that are the problem.
exactly!
That's some real deep thinking there! B.S. thinking that is. His instructor is more likely just encouraging to argue his beliefs.

THE YOUNG MAN WAS SPOUTING MUCH VERBAL FLATULENCE.
I'm a parent period.
theburners32141 Spot On..
A capitalist society "creates poverty"? In America we are guaranteed equal opportunity, not equal outcome.
ROASTED!
I have no words for how much I love D'Souza
The white guy needs a safe space because his head is about to explode with logic.
"That's the problem with the progressivism that marches behind social justice while protecting its own privileges." Well done, Sir - that's some impressive phraseology right there - especially as it's produced under pressure.

So it’s bad to want to progress other people’s lives without hindering your own?
@@drdoomer8553 No, it's not bad and you're right to clarify the point. @@drdoomer8553 "So it’s bad to want to progress other people’s lives without hindering your own?"
If you want to progress other people's lives by _hindering your kith and kin's lives _*_but not your own life?_* *YES.* Yes, that is indeed a bad thing!
I present Exhibit A, the very recent debacle with Ben & Jerry's using Twitter to make an Independence Day statement shaming the United States of America for existing on land that was, at least in part, taken from the Native American tribes by force. Numerous people replied to Ben & Jerry's by pointing out that _the Ben & Jerry's headquarters in Vermont itself_ stands on land which was once the home of the Abenaki tribe before the Abenaki were driven out by the emigrating English settlers, then challenged Ben & Jerry's to put their money where their mouth is and take the first step to righting this wrong by _giving their land back to the Abenaki tribe._
Then Chief Don Stevens of the Coosuk Abenaki Nation followed up on the idea by reaching out to Ben & Jerry's, publically stating that, as Chief, he is always watching for opportunities to advance the welfare of Indigenous American peoples and that he was looking forward to hearing back from Ben & Jerry's, so that they could negotiate the transfer of that land from Ben & Jerry's to the Abenaki people.
Ben & Jerry's response thus far? Silence.
So clearly Ben & Jerry's is perfectly willing to return _other people's_ land to the Native Americans, but they won't return _their own._
And that's what's wrong with White Liberals howling for Reparations and such; hypocrisy is quite the grave character flaw. Who are they to tell _anyone else_ what they should do - and what personal sacrifices they should make - if they refuse to lead from the front and enter the breech themselves?
He seems like he’s trying to remember everything his professor told him.
