Thanks Norm. I'm shocked that it's grown so quickly. Granted 200 isn't much in the grander scheme, but for me -- and in a niche game!! Yeah, I'm stoked!
thanks for more on the xbow, the reticle on nee scope looks very similar to the older ravin i use, so nice and familiar. doesnt look as nice as a ravin, but dont see it much, but feels better to me. the strongest xbows these days are compound, so prob will be my preference
I don't hate the new xbow. Seems to have plenty of power, even if it is not "as" powerful as the Apex. I should probably do a good head to head on the three at some point.
I got a mention! Woohoo! Since the scope has a fixed zero of 50m / 55 yd you should do your distance testing for where the Hunter Sense dot lands from 50m/55yd from the target. SFP scopes are the most accurate through their reticle at the zeroed distance & 1x zoom, so that should be the standard for determining how to read the reticle.
lol - you brought up a good point that I didn't think about at the time. :D As for the ranging, that would be true for a crosshair - so zeroed at a zoom. But this is a range finding reticle. You "should" be able to use the reticle to find your holds, otherwise the numbers are just confusing. IE 1 or 5x zoom you are still not holding at the 100 line when you are 100m out (same for yards, and with all bolts, and all xbows). Nothing lines up for the scope across the ranges is my issue with it.
@@_LiquidFire, they add up from 50m/55yd. All SFP reticle are "inaccurate" if not shot at the zoom & yardage they're zeroed at. That's why knowing your zero is important, so you can combine that data worth your ballistics & adjust your point of aim accordingly.
Yes, I understand that a SFP scope has to be zeroed for range at a specific zoom. But this is a BDC reticle on top of that. It should be tuned to the ballistics of the weapon, in this case I would expect the Bear Constrictor Pro, at some given zoom. Normally a SFP BDC is "tuned" at maximum magnification, for whatever specific caliber. That's where this scope / reticle is confusing. It's labeled like it is tuned, but ranging is significantly off. It's like it came tuned for one speed / bolt combo - then we changed the draw strength, and ran a different bolt setup. If it didn't have the numbers on the lines - no one would think anything about it. But with them there, it's going to make people inherently use them as holds at that distance (even if we don't know if it was supposed to be Y or M lol). I don't mind the scope, at all - mind you. Just not great that it feels like they took a BDC and changed the gear to nullify it basically. I'll use it the same as our 21x and hold based on a dope at 5x. Or run HS lol.
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Crashes ... seem to come in waves for me anymore. It used to be much more often but has slowed way down over the last several months. These two happening so close together stood out from the norm now days. So no, not a lot - but does still happen more than one might expect. Certainly more than any other game I've played in a long time.
@@DrgnRebrn I believe you I just haven't had it happen to me idk weird how there so many different people saying no trouble and crashes I just wonder why
Hello. The scope works like this. When you shoot within 50 meters, you have to shoot from the 20-meter mark to hit a target that is 20 meters away. To hit a target that is 40 meters away, you have to bring the indicator to 40 meters. But for targets outside 50 meters, the situation changes here.
It's "close" but not really on the mark at most ranges. And like you said way off the mark the further you go out. It's "good enough" to hit, but not good enough to hit right where you aim, until those longer ranges, then your sending out airballs lol.
You know, I thought I did for a bit, where she turned - but then I looked back at where I shot and where I thought I got backwards and I think she had doubled back after I quit watching her run. But, I wont lie - I wasn't paying a ton of attention, I was expecting her to drop much sooner than she did so I may have gotten backwards at one point. It happens lol
I'm torn. I like it better than the ZoomHD, but the numbers still irk me. BUT -- we did hear that there will be some "info" about the scope released by NRG Monday, so I'm keen to hear what they say. Could be an explanation, or upcoming change or who knows lol.
Ah, the guy who often asnswer my dumb questions in the WotH discord. Subscribed
I try to help if I can! I just hope I didn't give you bad advice lol. Thanks for swinging by!

That was a great shot for a bow.
Good enough, as they say!

PS... Standing at 50m from the target the dot lines up perfectly with the 50m lines on the reticle in 1x zoom, from my personal observation.

yeah, 50's pretty close. 20's probably close enough and 100m held at the 90 reticle line. So pretty easy to get some basic holds down quickly.

Does your zeroing change any of the aiming on the reticle. I see it’s set at 50 meters so at 20 meters it would be lower.
You cannot change the zero on this scope. Only zoom.

Yeah, it did the deed and then some!! I was a little impressed to be honest. I was expecting much worse, especially with that run lol.
