Live Demonstration of Autonomous Link-Capacity Adjustment in Optical Metro-Aggregation Networks

We demonstrate a real-time ML-assisted network automation pipeline for dynamic, autonomous link-capacity allocation based on real traffic flow-forecasting for optical metro-aggregation networks.
Its performance is compared to that of a traditional, static bandwidth provisioning scheme. The Proof-of-Concept Demonstration is carried out on the photonic testbed infrastructure at Fraunhofer HHI premises.
