Whoa, that "just press to unlock" blew my mind so much I had to go out and try it. WAY more convenient than the "unlock with the app" I've been doing! Kinda crazy they decided to disable the buttons, but not the proximity. Interesting you can ONLY unlock the doors that way, and can't re-lock while you're still outside.
Thanks for these tips and this video. I guess I'll need to use Utility Mode to keep a 12 V cooler powered when I'm away for a few hours hiking or shopping. Do the exterior lights/DRLs turn off in Utility Mode? I don't want to draw attention to the car that it's on or "running" when doing this.
Ok stupid question time. So what you’re saying is that if you don’t leave the car in utility mode then the socket in the back there doesn’t stay on once the car is turned off?
Yes,i thought that was a well known fact but maybe i should have stated it.And no it’s not a stupid question.ICE cars typically keep at least one 12V socket alive but the EV6 shuts down all 12 volt sockets and turns off all internal lights when you turn the car off.e-Niro did similar. So that is one reason for Utility mode.
Thanks Brian. You've given us great tips and peace of mind before we set off for the first time staying in the back of my GTLS 🌞

That’s a good question. i think they are off but will have to check.
@@evodessey I think I saw another one of your videos and another person's RUclips video where they had to turn the lights off.
these vids get better every day 👏
Cheers, just passing on things i’ve learned whilst on holiday. Will probably learn more on the next holiday.
I just commented on the beer video to put a mini fridge in😄
I know, problem is that fridge is not tall enough for full sized beer 500ml beer bottles😂
