yay, grabber AT are the worst tires one could use. wanna stick to AT but wanna do muddin': go for the discoverer st/maxx (got them myself). wanna do overlanding: bfg AT KO2. (will switch to them myself). btw: got a LR3 as well. reg. the super extended mode: did you really need to trick the computer first, pretending the vehicle being high centered? or just press the foot brake and offroad height for at least 5secs? at any situation?
I'm sure you figured it out but you have to trick the system into being high centered. I have since bought a Gap Tool and can use my phone to control the suspension if I need to(test valves settings) It has saved my ass and I didn't have to get out in the mud as a bonus.
Totally custom. I drilled the frame, through bolted a harbor freight winch mount with stop nuts and a harbor freight winch. Very cheap setup and has been working for a few years. Not strong enough to lift the front of the vehicle off the ground but for linear pulls it works very well.
Still going strong although she's in some need for maintenance(control arms). I explore the woods often but don't look for trouble as much. Also tows my boat like a dream with the air suspension. Other than some decent all terrains no other mods. Here's a later video with all terrains pushing it a bit harder. ruclips.net/video/IfYZ39G9-40/видео.html ruclips.net/video/BCzf7KuwocE/видео.html I've since gotten much better at picking the right settings/upgraded brakes for traction control system(doesn't spin tires much anymore)
Apalachicola National Forest pit they use to make the roads. Semi-Legal place to ride. On the weekends the UTV's hang out here with forestry/FWC officers so its allowed.
Offroading never comes through too well on camera. Looks like a lot of fun.
Nice job, and nice vid! I'm a Jeeper, but love to see guys use their rigs. LR3 is a cool SUV.
How would you like those minutes back? IOU?
The LR3 is a very capable vehicle. It was fun watching but you definitely need some mud terrain tires.
Try cooper LTZ. That's what I got on my disco 3. Very happy with them.

What bumper / winch setup is that? I've got the same truck and like the stock-ish look to it. Also cool to see the FL plate!
