      I had a question about the weighted dip exercise. If somebody cannot yet perform the exercise because they do not have the tricep strength yet to be pushing their bodyweight, which exercise would you recommend as a good alternative to replace this?

      How does this relate to “the perfect chest workout” would you do this on a seperate day or include it to incorporate chest/tri? Because the perfect chest workout does involve the triceps resulting in fatigue. Any help appreciated.

    Jeff I’ve made a ton of progress thanks to you. I’m more muscular than I’ve ever been and I’ve made more improvement than I’ve ever had. While doing my 5x5 split in the gym this evening I saw a young man in my gym who was using a lot of momentum with weight that was too heavy for him. I approached him and sent him to you.     I do the tricep extension (skull crusher) on a decline bench and it helps keep the gravity aligned.

      @@nickstorey7643 The main difference you can do for calves is doing the exercises with your toes turned in or out. With your toes turned out, you hit the outside more. With toes turned in, you hit the inside and lower calves more. Plus banded reps for endurance.
      I hope Jeff sees this and corrects anything I've said...

    Hey Jeff! Long time listener, first time caller. Just wanted to say what a huge fan I am. I am a 46 year old male and very active 15 year law enforcement veteran. Thanks for all the advice and routines. I use them often at the gym and your channel was especially a life saver during the first wave of the pandemic when virtually every gym had closed.     I always liked your videos and insight. For a min I was considering steroids BC I'm 35 and don't grow like I used to. After some research I decided I like my body to function and don't want to depend on hormones the rest of my life. I have used everything I can find in your videos and am back on track at the gym and getting great results again. I'm only using a preworkout sup and sometimes protien but in trying to get my diet in check before going nuts on supplements. I love your work and I love the results I get. Than you for helping keep a natural lifter natural. Wish I could post pics in comments

    the world I really admire you. I´ve been watching your videos since 2011
    and I wish one day I will look so good like you. On your appeal to
    let you know which topics we want you to cover here are my suggestions:
    1. Thank to your advice we know that the leg extensions are
    a bad exercise. What is your opinion on legpress, hack squat or leg curls?
    Are they a bad options, especially because of the pressure on spine?
    2. Recently you showed us the best exercises for triceps
    long head. What are the best (and also some unusual) exercises for lateral
    head?
    3. You have done the triceps rope pushaway on the cable
    machine with the cable set on a position higher then your head. Is it
    a bad option to set the cable on the bottom position near ground and do
    this exercise that way - similar to triceps extension?
    4. Chest dips and shoulder health issues. 5. Maybe I have just missed it, but what is your master
    tip for legs?
    6. What are the best options to target teres major (apart
    from wide grip at lat pulldown)?
    7. What is your opinion on front squats?
    8. I probably haven´t seen you doing rowing exercises
    (sitting with cable or on a machine). Is there a reason behind this?
    9. In a 2015 video Quick shoulder mobility drill you
    used a resistance band and during this drill your arms were
    travelling behind your body almost to your glutes. Isn´t it a risky
    position for shoulders?
    10. First aid by neck pain, neck stiffness.
    11. How to target multifidus muscles? Why are they important?
    12. How to target abductor and adductor muscles? Why are
    they important?
    13. Joint nutrition (glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM): real
    effects, benefits, dosing.
    14. Tribulus, glutamine, carnitine. Do they really have some
    benefits or are they just waste of money?
    15. What is the absorption percentage of vitamins from
    multivitamin supplements and sparkling tablets? Are they worth that money?
    16. Pros and contras of drinking plain water (chlorine,
    minerals)?
    17. Is it true that cardio training on empty stomach burns
    more fat?
    18. You showed us how to take dumbbells prior to doing flat
    benchpress. But what is the safest way for taking them before doing
    benchpress on negative bench with head down and then put them back on ground?
    19. In a video from 2015 you tried to do the impossible
    sit up. Can you do it now?
    20. What is the best shoe option for wearing in the gym:
    sneakers, powerlifting shoes, bare foot?
    21. We already know how to sleep in the right way. But what
    body position do you prefer while watching TV?

    The recap / summary listing of the workout is PERFECT!. They I save the URL timestamped for each exercise and watch and practice to get the form dialed in.
    Where were you in the 90's? I'm correcting so many existing exercises I've done, avoiding bad ones that you informed of and learning new ones and learning A LOT about the structural, muscular, mechanical functioning of my body.

    Close Grip Pin Press - 3 sets of 10,6,4 reps 3:15
    Choose a weight that allows you to reach failure in each rep range
    Weighted Dip Tri-Set - 3 sets to failure in each position 4:00
    Immediately drop from weighted dips to bodyweight to assisted. No rest in between failures.
    Tricep Pushaways ( 5:30 ) into Drag Pushdowns (6:14) - 3 sets with 12 RM on first exercise to failure
    Immediately into the pushdowns without changing the weight.
    Rocking Pushdowns - 2 sets to Failure using 12RM 7:58
    Banded Lying Tricep Extensions - 2 sets to Failure using 15RM 8:42
    OVERALL WORKOUT: 9:39

      Yesterday i tried doing the perfect chest workout + perfect bicep workout took me almost 2h to complete and i have missed one or two sets ...

      @@servantoftherose3623 Each workout definitely takes time to complete, typically 1-1.5 hours, or longer when it's a new practice. Since they're so involved, I focus on one workout per session. I can see why attempting two would get you close to the two-hour mark!

    I've 75% followed your Perfect Chest workout today at the gym and I'm soooooo sore, BUT sore in the "good way"....I couldn't complete exercise 4. My point being, I already subbed to your channel and I'm inspired by your direction and coaching. Great work.

      RDL/Hip-Thrust
      Bulgarian Split Squat
      Kettlebell Swing
      ..maybe the 3 way Lunge
      Two Bodyweight Excercises:
      Pistol Squat/Split-Squat Jump..the Antonio Brown one (or easier versions)
      Physioball Curl/Thrust or even a Hamstring Curl on the floor (trust me this is a killer)

    Hi Jeff, would you be able to make a video showing how to properly perform Banded lying tricep extension? I have tried the workout today, it was very effective and satisfying. But I found it really hard to get in to the lying position with the band dragging me back.

    Couldn’t get to my regular gym so had to modify some exercises, but the rope push away/drag push down supersets were absolute fire. Can’t wait to go through the whole workout as presented.

    Will u please do a video for rehab/physio work for a torn Hamstring? Ive seen plenty physios over the years but it still gives me ao much trouble. Tore it right off the bone 5 years ago and I'm constantly injured. Love your videos xxx

    It would have been really insightful to have gotten (as on the chest workout "perfect series" episode), a detailed explanation of which exercise targets each head of the muscle. For Example, exercise X targeting the long or medial head, or lateral, etc. Other than that great fkn video !
