Damn the post commentary is really seamless! If you hadn't spoke about it I would have never have guessed. Last video reactions were super genuine and still right now watching this video I'm kinda bamboozled. Last video was incredible and the commentary seemed live, wow. I mean in this video during the third Yone kill there was certainly a disconnection between gameplay and commentary but I think it was part of the meta-exposition-analysis. I also think a lot of people (me included) watch your videos because of your personality and I think that aspect can thrive in this kind of format. The respiration bit in last video was amazing. I think talking about it now took away a little bit the suspension of disbelief but I'm ready to go back to it. Thanks Petu! Amazing gameplay and content as always

xPetu is one of those content creators who you can tell genuinely enjoys playing the game.
This makes his post game commentaries still feel like he is going through the roller-coaster with us the viewer. Because he ACTUALLY IS.
I may go from channel to channel every now and then. But never have I been disappointed in an xPetu video.
Even when he tried to do more condensing and editing (which I dislike) his content still had him in it.

For me the best proof that xPetu feels the emotions of the game even when doing post game commentary is the part at 10:56 when in the middle of a sentence he gives a reaction about missing a minion which for me personally can only happen if I part of my brain is thinking about getting all the minions, that only happens when I play the game :D

If you want to have some of your live reactions, you could consider recording your voice audio for the game and selectively keeping emotional / high energy moments, weaved in to your post game commentary. It's purely a suggestion as this current format works well. I really enjoy your content either way and I like to see you enjoy yourself, which you clearly enjoy playing at your maximum potential, so I support the post game commentary. Also I am glad to see that your recovery is going well

9:40 what you're describing could also be the phenomenon in psychology called 'flowstate' where you find a special type of focus when you're fully concentrated on the task at hand. You gain inherent pleasure from engaging with the task itself and in refining your ability to do the task. Video games, especially competitive games, are common activities where flowstate. So, it makes sense that attempting to do live commentary makes playing league not only more difficult, but less enjoyable (which may explain being more prone to tilt), because you aren't going into the psychological state that you usually go into when you play. Instead, you're splitting your attention across several other tasks: playing the game, versus making commentary based off the gameplay.
There's also the task of analyzing gameplay that's different from when you're figuring out how to win from within the game itself, compared to analyzing for the sake of putting the analysis into an explanation for commentary.
Just putting my psychology degree to use in the comments lol

on your take of speaking leading to more emotions during the game: I took a University course in neurolinguistics and wrote about the role of language in "creating" emotions in your perception. While it is not exactly clear to what extend this happens, there is some evidence for linguistic concepts playing a creative role when perceiving emotions in others. some neurological systems that we use to retrieve words are also recruited when merely distinguishing between voices displaying differing emotions.
    TL;DR
it's not completely off to think speaking makes you more susceptible to emotions because of the way parts of speech and discerning emotions are wired in our brain

This is a great combo of awesome gameplay and post commentary. For me personally I would dislike it of you'd have to sacrifice your gameplay for entertainment's sake because to me the entertainment comes from seeing you do well and have fun winning and climbing. I also feel you in the part about tilting while speaking, i sometimes play on voice call with a friend, he doesn't have mic so i basically speak alone and trust me i say a lot of bad words even if we play normals, while when I play alone in ranked i'm fully focused, mute everyone, 0 tilt, 100% zen shen

On the gold efficiency discussion - one moonplate, and some movementspeed runes either in your 2nd tree or instead of scaling health could maybe get you a similar result for cheaper. You also arent getting much use out of ingenius hunter with this build, so it may be beneficial to change it to something else

Splitting your attention trying to in the moment commentate and elaborate on the whys behind each movement/ choice is 1000% an inhibitor on gameplay. I respect the new format. A suggestion my friend is maybe keep the in game audio recording while keeping in mind you can commentate and educate after the fact. Simply because it’s a blast getting your reactions when you’re testing the limits and making crazy plays, the giddy joy and excitement is refreshing. Much love xPetu!

Still do the post commentary as normal. But now you have the option of clipping in your live reactions as desired. This would likely only be like 10-30 seconds of a video but if you really miss the live emotional responses then this could be a way to include them as well.

1:59 I've noticed that you always screw your flash when you hesitate. If you want to avoid this, I'd suggest backing off as soon as you ask yourself "Should I flash to try and get the kill?" because it's most likely already too late. Only flash when you don't ask yourself the question, i.e. just do it in instinct.
Edit: The enemies that make it out flash without asking themselves if they should which buys them the 0.1 second that you waste thinking about flashing or not.

I enjoy the content either way. Even if you were using failed technology such as a drive-through microphone, I would still tune in. What other champs do you think would benefit greatly from the triple winged moon plate technology?

definitely agree with recording VO after the game. Sure it's not as in the moment, but I cant tell you how many times i've seen you slip up while trying to talk, sometimes even acknowledging that explaining everything messed you up. Play on your top game, and worry about VO after.

This form of commentary is way better. The benefits far outweigh the cons. When I first started watching gaming RUclips videos, I thought they would all be voice overs, except everyone was lazy/click baiting and doing a half ass job of explaining very little. I’m shocked you’re the only one do ACTUAL informational content with voice overs

Very clean gameplay and commentary. Noticed that you definately play with fewer mistakes this game compared to live commentary ones.

It'd be cool if there were maybe snippets of live reactions as well.
