- Ascher Racing just released the McLaren Artura Pro-USB wheel and we reviewed this BEAST!
A couple of notes from Ascher Racing! 1 - USB-C port is made specifically for QRs with internal cable routing, and both wheels in the video have dampened shifters, the sound is different due to the harmonics of the chassis!

The middle usb c connector is for Asetek wheel bases that allow it to connect internally to the hub.
The extra paddle shifters are just additional buttons. That you can map to whatever you want.
Ordered the Ultimate this morning. Finally the waiting is over.....you have to take it apart the wheel for the other QR you screw it from the inside. There is a manual how to do it.. Seen on video from lovelydashboard guy...
Im also saving for the ultimate or Simucube 3 whenever that comes
The USB-C is to connect it directly and cableless (Long coil cable) to bases like simagic, Asetek and Moza etc.
How is Ascher able to make “McLaren” wheels if the F1 team is sponsored by Logitech and McLaren the car maker is partnered by Fanatec?
Licenses work everywhere. As long they pay for it.
Many constructors have sponsorships with many different companies that compete, but this is mostly in different racing classes. This wheel is primarily built around the real life McLaren Artura GT4 car in the GT4 class. It is an official McLaren collaboration. Cheers :)
The question is, do they have an exclusivity deal with Fanatec? if not then they can make a deal with whoever they want. The other option would be that they canceled their partnership with Fanatec.

I use the extra paddle shifters for drs and tire/damage panel for F1 games.
That wheel is used in the reql mclaren
I’ve just ordered the Grid MPX v2 for similar money.
As someone whose hands cramp up a lot during races (even sprints), the dual set of shifters on the Ascher McLaren would be a godsend. I use the Fanatec McLaren atm and while the rocker does allow for up/down shifting on both sides, the force required is a little too taxing (especially on opposite shifting) and the action is a bit too long imo. Anyone can benefit from dual shifters though as it allows you more freedom to use one hand at any time (itches come to mind). Nice wheel!
According to Ascher website…”One set is used for gear shifting, allowing you to shift up and down through the gears. The other set is a progressive clutch paddle, which is used to simulate the operation of a clutch in a real car, especially useful for starts and gear changes.

You put the asetek QR on all kinds of wrong. it slots in from the top not the bottom. Also, probably the most stable qr I tried before buying my own setup recently

Idk it’s kinda ugly! There’s so many wheels options out there. Not sure I would pay that kind of money for an ugly duck
