And sometimes it ends unexpectedly and too early. I just became a widow at 52 November 12 2024. He was only 51. Heart attack caused by heart disease so best to enjoy every day to the fullest 😢 Heidi
That still looks amazing. I have heard that if you slightly tint your resin, it's supposed to stop the yellowing. Also, Ben, watching you turn, i realised I'm using my tools wrong, I think. QOTD, could you please show the right angles to hold the tools. Thank you 😊
Hey Ben! This is an oldie but a goodie...even with the little bit of yellowing it still looks amazing! It's great to see the updates, can't wait to see what you will be making for us now in 2025. Big hugs from Texas!🤩😍
Just found your channel mate and been binging it 😂 love your art it’s amazing I play around with resin a bit so was looking for ideas then seen your work and was like naaaa I’m good I’ll just sit and watch 😂😂😂 love to have half your skill mate well done. My fav so far is the wasp nest that thing was cool as heck.
Hi Ben & Nicole, that for repairing this video. I had never seen it. I know I’ve been watching you for a good while, but it obviously hasn’t been for 6yrs. Like you said it has turned a little yellow, but the bike it’s self is amazing. I also love the whole design of it. Sending you prayers & love from the states.🙏🤗💗🇺🇸
oh i remember this one, and i loved it. this time we see a little yellow on the sides but overall it's still cool. i wonder why tho, maybe it took to much light? man time flies away so fast, 6 years already!
I actually like the yellowing. I think it looks better that way. It was great to begin with but I really like the yellowing. Hope you guys are doing well. Hope you have a great new year. Take care.😊
I know this isn't a bottle but I do miss and like the bottles you made an come up with. And I like that burl wood that you and Nick use quite often in the projects. I like how it looks pretty much by itself I think sometimes it would be cool just seeing some nice pieces of it done up in resin would look pretty cool, some painted and some natural or even stained. 🙂👍👍👍
Ben, 6 years, still loves beautiful as the day you took her home ready to ride and took it outta the package 😂.....so what if the resin yellowed a bit. Just like headlights, it got weather-worn 😂
You've always managed brilliant crystal clear resin, even though it's yellowed slightly still looks good cos there is not one bubble. Loved the shiney new pressure pot 🤣
You should do some experiments on yellowed resin. If you have some pieces to sacrifice that is. I always wondered if they could be restored. I've seen people use hydrogen peroxide and UV light to whiten old yellowed plastic.
Oh wow! I knew this happens but I didn't realize it was that dramatic. I'm actually really curious if it is just a surface yellowing, or if it is all the way through the resin. Have you considered resanding and seeing what it looks like?
Seems like it held up well. It really is too bad you cannot counter the yellowing of the resin..are there any newer products out there that promise less yellowing over time?
Wowsers still looks amazing Ben. What kind of wood is that? It is awesome. When you first started i thought it was a dead hedgehog laying on the table. Lmao Then realized it is some kind of awesome wood. I hope you and Nicole rested during the holidays. Xoxo ❤❤❤
Hi u do amazing stuff...can u do 4 coasters out of the real pretty cool colors of cds....not even sure if u can still get them...I'd love to see them cast in resin.
Hey Ben, what is the music that plays in a lot of your vids, the soft guitar tune? I love it so much id like to download it if possible. Thanks so much. I love to watch all your vids. You're inspiring me to start my own resin journey! Edit- the one you have on this vid lol
Look at how yellow it is!!! Thanks for providing concrete proof that plastic projects are a waste of time. No one wants to admit that this is just plastic junk. Sorry Ben, you’re a talented artist that should work with something more permanent. Plastic is such a problem for the modern world that creating art with it is akin to adding to the problem.
6 years? This was the first video of yours I watched. I was 50 years old then. Enjoy life because times goes faster the older you get.
And sometimes it ends unexpectedly and too early. I just became a widow at 52 November 12 2024. He was only 51. Heart attack caused by heart disease so best to enjoy every day to the fullest 😢 Heidi
@@BlackCat_2Sorry for your loss. The first holidays are the worst. Take care of yourself!
I am about to turn 60 and just seeing Ben's video for the first time 😂
I ALWAYS LOVE WATCHING YOU CREATE EVEN IF AN OLD ONE. LOVE TO YOU ALL ❤❤
@@BlackCat_2 I'm sorry Heidi.

I don't think a little tint to the resin stops the yellowing, just makes it less apparent.
@suep9445 ok thank you
Always love these updates. Everything looks good at the beginning but seeing it years later is the test.
It’s golden with age !
Hey Ben! This is an oldie but a goodie...even with the little bit of yellowing it still looks amazing! It's great to see the updates, can't wait to see what you will be making for us now in 2025. Big hugs from Texas!🤩😍
Thanks Kelly 😊
cant believe that was 6 years ago..i remember watching that video
Thanks Mate 😊
Same here.
Even with the yellowing, it still looks great!
Thanks Ellis 😊
This is still an awsome projects looks good after all this time.
I love these videos. It’s awesome to see how long these projects last. Plus how you’ve grown from precious videos to now. So cool, keep it up Ben.
Thankyou! 😊
Six years later, resin did resin things. Still looks nice
It is nice you show prior projects and how they hold up. It is still so clear. Very nice!
Thankyou!

It's interesting how the resin yellows a bit but is still so clear and reflective
I just had a thought ... Burl skull... 💀 Or burl frog 🐸 love that texture
Still looks great. I see the little yellowing but not bad. It's great seeing how some old pieces are holding up
Wow, it yellowed slightly! Looks great, still!!!
Hi Ben, still looks great. Take care and happy new year to you all.🎉🎉
Thanks Rose 😊

Hope Courtney had a great Birthday 🎉❤
Wow that was before sound. Awesome work mate

You are soooo lucky to have Burl wood Australian Burl it’s the most gorgeous wood … I wish here in the UK it was available ❤
Happy new year to you and your family!
I hope everything is ok?
I actually like the yellowing. I think it looks better that way. It was great to begin with but I really like the yellowing. Hope you guys are doing well. Hope you have a great new year. Take care.😊
Still looking great after all this time. Loved watching the early videos again ❤

You're so clever Sir.
Thank you for the update! This is back when I first started watching ur work 💕
Thankyou! 😊
Outstanding work 👍👍

Nice project, I really like the wood stand for it.
Wow still looks great!
Still looks good!
Thanks Kim
If you blasted it with UV light would that reverse the yellowing?
You've always managed brilliant crystal clear resin, even though it's yellowed slightly still looks good cos there is not one bubble. Loved the shiney new pressure pot 🤣
Thanks Alison, yeah it was brand new 😂
To be honest. That little bit of yellowing actually looks good. With the color of the bike, and the base it's on.
I love the vault uploads.

That's a great stand for the model.
Thankyou 😊

I’ve been watching you for six years?
Far out. That went quickly.
Thankyou 😊
Dude that is so cool, I work for Snap -On, and that quality and attention to detail is fantastic. Nice job.
Thankyou!
One of your dad's bikes! So cool!
He he eindelijk iets anders dan die eeuwige kommen en vazen . Dit is erg leuk, doe meer van die projecten, ❤
I think you may be thinking of another creator, I rarely do those
Could I potentially suggest casting an intact (wrapper still on) Lindt chocolate gold bunny in resin?
Wow, just a slight yellowing but it looks great.
Do you add a dash of blue or purple now to lessen the yellowing of the resin?
Nah, the resin has improved a lot since then 😊
Belated Christmas wishes and New Year blessings to you and your family from the Winze family in Hutchinson Kansas
Seems like it held up well. It really is too bad you cannot counter the yellowing of the resin..are there any newer products out there that promise less yellowing over time?
Yeah the newer resins are more uv stable
Wowsers still looks amazing Ben. What kind of wood is that? It is awesome. When you first started i thought it was a dead hedgehog laying on the table. Lmao Then realized it is some kind of awesome wood. I hope you and Nicole rested during the holidays. Xoxo ❤❤❤
Thankyou! It’s Mallee Burl
@BensWorx thank you so kindly. It is awesome!
I think I remember this one. Didn't the handlebars on the bike melt back a bit while the resin was curing?
I’m not sure I’ll have to have another look
Hi u do amazing stuff...can u do 4 coasters out of the real pretty cool colors of cds....not even sure if u can still get them...I'd love to see them cast in resin.
out of curiousity, is there a way to clean the brushes from the resin or do you have to throw them away?
The uv brushes can be wiped and kept in a dark place and reused
Awesome video Ben. How long have you been making videos on RUclips?
Thankyou! About 10 years
@@BensWorx Nice :)
Hey Ben, what is the music that plays in a lot of your vids, the soft guitar tune? I love it so much id like to download it if possible. Thanks so much. I love to watch all your vids. You're inspiring me to start my own resin journey!
Edit- the one you have on this vid lol
Thankyou! It’s fresh fallen snow
@BensWorx thank you so much! I got it downloaded already lol
Resin challenge: viral "mineral crystal mug" scam... I know you can do it! I believe in you!
Just what i miss, you working your magic in silence or with talking. Have u ever done experiment with marshmallows? I cant remember.
Yeah I have 😊
Do we know what it is that makes the resin yellow over time? Seems like the manufacturers would have solved that problem by now...
Yeah the resins these days are a lot more uv stable
Tinge of blue would have covered that yellowing up.
I'm curious, so all resins yellow over time?
They are a lot better now
❤❤
❤️
👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻
A little bit of yellowing? I think your eyes need testing. That’s p155 yellow mate.
Should have made it square, not round. Looks weird.

Sorry Ben, you’re a talented artist that should work with something more permanent. Plastic is such a problem for the modern world that creating art with it is akin to adding to the problem.
Resin these days have a better formula to prevent yellow aging and are more uv stable
