One of my friends from Switzerland was at the Park like 1 week ago and couldn't ride it. He was at Dorney Park yesterday and tomorrow he was supposed to fly back home. He was stuck at 699 counts but because ElToro reopened today, he was able to spontaneously drive back to the park and make this coaster his 700th. I'm happy this worked out for him.
I LOVE watching people who are passionate about things, so seeing the beginning of this video where Ryan, and all the usual suspects, all lined up at 8am to ride a roller coaster actually gave me goosebumps. Glad to see the legend up and running again.
It was a pleasure to finally meet you Ryan, For my first time at Great adventure this was once and a lifetime experience to ride Eltoro 18 times along with meeting so many friendly and humble enthusiasts!
Without a doubt the best day I've ever had in all my years going to this park and I'm so glad your first day was so epic! Here's to many more theme park advey!
Very excited about my first visit ever tomorrow. #3 on my tour of 5 parks that I've never been to before.. #1 on my list of parks I've most wanted to see.
Dude I'm not even kidding yesterday was my senior trip to SF and half of the kids in your video are in my senior class. I'm so jealous that they got to be in an El Toro Ryan video before me!
Hi! I’m the attendant with the purple hair at the entrance that you can see for approximately… 1 second(?) around the 9 minute mark. Y’all were genuinely the sweetest people. So courteous, so passionate, and so amped up for El Toro’s return. You are like the PERFECT example of what a park guest should be and it was kinda amazing to have y’all on first. Sincerely, the one just holding the height stick outside
It's a pleasure and honor to have a park employee from Six Flags compliment coaster enthusiasts. Thank you so much! Sometimes we are laughed at, sometimes maligned & insulted. A few of us, on occasion, can be _less than_ "the perfect example of what a park guest should be." At the end of the day we're all normal people with extra passion & love for roller coasters, and spend lots of time at theme & amusement parks. Attendants like you, and the things you say, make everybody's experience so much more wonderful! Thank you kindly.
Awwwww, it was so cute seeing everyone so happy to ride ElToro again! Saw this video pop up on my timeline and made sure to click through, I'm sure you must have been absolutely thrilled! Awesome news :D
I just visited for the first time the other day. Was hoping to run into you at some point but I still had a great time. El Toro has managed to find its way in my Top 5 overall. I was expecting ejector airtime but not the sustained kind that this delivered over those first 2 hills and the rolling thunder hill. El Toro really is a work of art. On a side note, Kingda Ka was my 200th credit and Nitro became my new favorite B&M hyper. Great park with a great coaster collection.
Ahhhhh, nice to see the beast is back! I have yet to ride this and with all the problems in the past few years, I began to question it's reliability. I am HOPING that it is fixed well this time and that the park will keep on top of things to make sure it stays running well.
This is and will always be the #1 wooden coaster in America. Thanks for the updates, Ryan! P.s. The back of the train is where it's at. Like your videos... love Lenora's Bar in Hackensack! Good rides to you!
I haven't really had the opportunity to go on many roller coasters in my country, but they're some of my favorite things ever at this point and I watch so many hours of roller coaster videos every week istg 😭😭😭 Tysm for making these videos, they help me experience stuff I can't really do very often!!
El Toro is my 5th most ridden coaster, only beaten by Coaster at Playland in Vancouver, (hundreds if not over a thousand times) Fury 325, (97 times in 3 days and 4 hours) Nitro, and Raging Bull (each 50 times without leaving the station in 3 hours, totalling between 70 and 80 times in 4 days each.) I think I rode El Toro over 40 times in 4 days last year. That turnaround trough was rough; I hope they have that smoothed out now. Glad to see it's finally open again since it closed on my mom's 80th birthday last year August 26th. It's also nice to see you interview ColiwoodStudios who did the best back seat POV of Fury 325 (until mine, 😉but he did it before me. Besides, Fury is more of a front row ride, but I digress) Cheers!
I got 4 rides on it today (Saturday) and it's running as fast as when I first rode it last July. I will say I rode the first row of the last car and there were some bumpy spots (mainly the run back through the structure after the first turnaround), but the forces and airtime are all still there. It stayed on one train until the ERT ended at least (didn't go back after that).
I remember walking up to El Toro for this first time and being startled by the speed of the train as it came out of the turn around. Loved the ride, but loved it the following year even more after losing 40 LBS; made it much more comfortable. The thing I love the most about the ride is the twister section; not so much the element itself, but the fact that it is such a surprise when you hit it because it was so well hidden from view.
Toro was my 3 after getting just one ride on it last summer but man I can officially say it’s close to steel vengance for my 1 it was hauling I was on last ride of the night today and it was not only one of the best rides I’ve had and one of the best experiences I’ve had
Really awesome meeting you today at the El Toro opening of all days. Love all your videos, but let us know what you think sfga will get for 2024 50th anniversary! Keep up the great work brother!!
Was so cool to go today. I was behind you parked in the wrapped evo that looks like a rally car. I had no idea you were in front of me the whole time until I saw you get out the car lol. This was my first ever time on El Toro and I rode it about 10 times thankfully to the ERT.
@@nesmanmain0001 ish? The turnaround has a killer pothole and the return run before the Rolling Thunder hill has a couple small jolts. But on the whole it's smoother. Much more rerideable lol
Speaking of wood coasters, have you ever concerned doing a showcase or problematic coasters video on hucules? I've always wanted to know more about it and why it's life was so short & there doesn't seem to be much info about it out there...
I just went to six flags new england today. Lots of fun however, i didnt know that the flash pass had to be purchased entirely seperate from the admission ticket. otherwise, i got to ride the big four today: wicked cyclone, superman the ride, riddlers revenge (less headbanging than last time as mind eraser) and the batman coaster.
el toro, the beast you have to pray before you ride. on a serious note, hope they figured out the issues and keep on improving the coaster through the years
Rode it yesterday, here are my thoughts. The turnaround was extremely rough still. Lots of jackhammering. Felt like my brain was being rattled going through it. The rest of it was pretty good. No pothole on the rolling thunder hill and the coaster flew through the twister section. Still love the coaster but it was a one and done for me yesterday. Maybe I felt it more because I was on a wheel seat but either way, it wasn't pleasant. It's a damn shame because I love El Toro and you can see the new supports and track that they put in that area. The turnaround really kind of ruined it for me. Hopefully they'll fix that as the year goes on. Seems like they did the BARE MINIMUM to get it inspected and back up and running.
I got my first ride of this year on Saturday and it felt quite slow on the Rolling Thunder Hill but very smooth on the first drop. I rode front row I usually ride in the last row
Last time I rode El Toro about 2 years ago some woman's wig got blown off on the lift hill😂! Walking down the exit ramp you could see it dangling from a piece of track 😂
So the entrance for Great Adventure is just like the entrance of Kings Island i see? Its cool that y'all line up like we do fown at KI waiting for them to let us in.
I can’t come on down unfortunately, I’m Australian. But I did ride this in 2010 and had an absolute blast on it! A new Martin & Vlemcx Wooden Coaster called Leviathan opened at Sea World Australia 6 months ago and have been loving it, you should check it out.
Bro I was very impressed I went on my bday this past Friday and it was a walk on let me tell you we need a rollercoaster like this in six flags America
If another accident does happen (hopefully not) Six Flags will probably not take it down instead go to GCI for the titan track. Fortunately I was able to ride it today it was smoother throughout the ride however the turnaround after the second hill is still a little rough and the rolling thunder hill was actually really good. I never rode the ride during its opening in 2006 but the people behind me were saying “old el toro is back.” Im glad to see it’s back open however Six Flags needs to pour money into a full retrack of the ride it may be expensive at the price of around a couple million however it would be very good for the ride but it’s not very marketable for the company.
@@Peter_9_9_9I would think RMC topper is more likely if they were to go that route. RMC helped build this initially and they have done a lot more high profile projects with SF over the last 10 or so years than GCI.
@@MrCrash-hz8xy I highly doubt Six Flags would want to risk this amazing coaster they definitely will be pouring the necessary money into this coaster.

It’s so great to see Toro running again! I could feel the joy through the video! I’m glad we all get to enjoy it again!
TORO FOR LIFE!!!!!
Another accident caused from six flags’ negligence:
Toro for death
TORO FOR UNTIL IT BREAKS DOWN AGAIN!
Kingda Ka for life!!!!!
Just rode it twice yesterday, she’s live and well :)
