Why are the players so often not picking up the tomes? Isn't permanent stats worth the half a second to grab it?
1) Too much micro happening around the map, players need to be in 3+ places at the same time. Order a building, micro that footman, micro the hero, think of what opponent is doing, be wary of timings, etc. With all that stuff combined it's much easier to creep with just an A click. It's easy for us viewers to spot things when all you do is stare at one screen/not under pressure. It's like beating FNAF on a 4 20 mode. Too many details to pain attention to, you're bound to miss something. I will not be surprised if pro players deliberately trade off tomes for stamina. Long bo5 matches require much mental fortitude. Going easy on tomes could mean better performance in other aspects of the game.
2) Your own units are in the way, you waste 1-2 seconds to pick the item, or your army started retreating already and the hero will waste 2-4 seconds to walk back. These seconds do matter, timings are very crucial. Pro players know when there's a window when the opponent is weak, either theyre creeping or building an expo or still level 2 or didnt get necessary units/upgrades. 1-2 seconds can become a cancelled expo/killed hero and therefore a won game.
3) You can sell an item for emergency gold, a book cannot be sold.
4) Items (and exp) are really what players go for. They kill the big guy, grab the item, check the box in their heads, ok this camp is cleared, and move on. Tomes drop from smaller guys, if it dropped from big guys, players would grab them more often.
They don't do it on purpose. Too much stuff going on around. Difficult to remember to pick up 2 items. @@nedwizard
Even thoguh the end result was easily predictable as you expect for Orc Vs Undead, I must say that I love Fly''s creativity and innovative plays. If you are going to go down in flames(and you always will if you play as Orc Vs UD), at least go out in style. This was honestly the first Orc Vs UD series that was fun to watch since WGL Winter 2019.

What innovative and creative it is in eco laming 100 times like other orc pros did? Even my grandma could eco lame all day long
@@tak08810 That was several months ago. and Lyn lost 3 series to Happy since then, and others before the one that he won. His overral win rate Vs Happy is 29% in the last year despite trying 10 different builds. Even Labyrynth has won maps Vs Lyn. The matchup Vs undead is pretty much unwinnable for Orc. The only times when Orc wins is when he plays completely flawless, and the Undead plyer screws up terribly, Even if the Orc player plays flawlessly, but the Undead player makes mistakes but doesn't blunder, it is very one-sided. Even Grubby said rthat the only games of Orc Vs Undead that don't look one-sided are those that the UD blunders very badly and the Orc executes perfectly.

@@tak08810 Ok, maybe I was exaggerating, but the TeD Cup Grandfinal actually looked very one-sided until the reverse sweep. Looking at Lyn's face after the 3rd loss in like 45 minutes, it's almost like he was saying:
"Omg, this dude is wrecking my legacy with this Coil/Nova/frenzied ghouls burrow push/mass skeletons/infinite mana bullshit. This is not about prize money anymore, but about my legacy because he is treating me like a B-tier player."
Let's face it dude: Lyn in that ereverse sweep played out of his mind, probably highest skill ceilling ever reached in WC3 history besides Infi 2014. People that watched it on his stream live said he had !apm function on and he was consistently clocking 480 APM during fights. Even Remo said after:"Lyn...what a god. No words for it."
The reason why Lyn won those 4 maps is because he completely outplayed Happy from beggining to end, capitalizing on every one of Happy's mistakes, while making literally zero mistakes of his own. But this is not how a balanced matchup should work. In a balanced game, the slightly better player should win. You should't have to completely outclass your opponent from beggining to end like that.
And I don't dislike Happy at all. I even pointed out that I think that UD Vs Human favors Human right now. I am *fair* .I just honestly think that the matchup Vs UD is as bad for Orc now as the matchip Vs Elf was on patch 1.30. It's just a very one-sided matchup.
Even Kaho commented on his stream that he thinks that, for pure skills, that Lyn is the best WC3 player in the World, followed by Happy and then everybody else way behind. But it's simply impossible to beat a player as strong as Happy when the matchup is also clearly in his favor. It's a testament to what a god Lyn is that he wins 1 out of 3 series Vs Happy despite the big handicap. Other Orcs are 10% or less Vs Happy.

И многие пишут что Orc vs UD слишком слаб, но нет вы не правы, просто Хеппи слишком хорош. Он много раз показывал на своих стримах как разваливает за Орка разных по уровню игры UD

Coil nova is just too easy
Fly was sitting duck and turtling in his base while happy outcreep him and the whole maps, giving him advantage not only in exp, level, gold and most importantly valuable 1-click restoration consumable items

Totally agree. He really played that very well but in the end UD outlasted him with the mana game. Basically infinite with the skeleton sacrifice and the statues.

teh jealous mediocres in the comment section being sore losers. Happy is the greatest because he works for it and he's a freak. If I saw any other pro players playing crazy / doing same strat for what, 5+ years and CONSISTENTLY performing this focused, I'd also respect them, but there's none like him. But I guess the strat couldn't change much bc of his race, and probably it's why happy plays this race lol. Either way it's so satisfying to watch his cookie cutter strat and playstyle, and making it work, over, and over, like a well oiled machine. He sometimes misplays, and be a human, and ofc i'm disappointed when I don't see the perfect micro / not using devour magic but overall he's alright.

I've said it and will always say. Rod of necromancy should be changed. It should either spawn 1 bigger skeleton, or make it cheaper and/or have more stacks. It is not 'broken' but it definitely is not balanced.
Also god daaamn that last fight of twisted meadows was an entertainer for sure!!
I dont think Rod gets mentioned enough in balance discussions. I feel its too strong as it is.
Also Orc could maybe have something like a Serpent Ward item, or something else that allows it to creep early on. Every other race has help for early creeping.

Unlike other races, without DK/before statue, UD only healing is blight and ritual dagger (requires sacrifice), it's fair that it spawns 2 or could've be changed to 1 while reducing CD

Make SH's Healing Wave able to also damage only the UD enemy units like a Chain Lightning. Like Holy Light - to make half the damage of its healing rate. This will impact only OvU and will not be imba at all and make the Orcs able to "nuke" UD too. I'm sick of this coil+nova=kill one by one every single orc unit. Simple and elegant solution which will be hated only by undead noobs. Destroyers are magic immune, so it will help only against ghouls and skeletons. SH will be much more desirable as a 1st hero

@spectralnebulah not how that works. Paladin can't heal allied UD units. So Pala is not good for co op with UD
@@thecrazygamer2853I've never said that Pala's Holy Light heals friendly ud units. I said that Healing Wave heals ud friendly units. And that's a good thing for 2v2. The thing that I suggest is to make Healing Wave also do damage to enemy ud units.
@spectralnebulah my point is stuff that hurts UD in game does not heal ally UD. In the same way coil heals ally UD and no one else. You would be breaking a system balance that is in place for all other healer specifics. Alchemist heals both and so does SH, that's why theirs can't do damage
That UD right click is a bit too strong when it comes to herocraft. So many games where the ud "COMES BACK" by just doing a simple right click on your hero and it's so strong and effective that it outclass many other strategies. When in doubt.. right click and coil nova. it's so old and effective, surprise it never gets nerfed to a reasonable state. Orb of corruption armor debuff should be nerfed hitting heroes but that's a minor bandage.
But there is only this Happy UD that pulls it out consistently.
Well, to be fair, I don't see Undead having any other "better" options in comparison with other races (statues are good exactly because they allow for more strong spells, otherwise I would say that priests are better). So that damage is kind of compensation for their army being weaker in general. And it just so happens that killing the strongest enemy unit (aka - enemy hero) is more effective in endgame than killing a couple weaker minions. If anything, it might be reasonable to nerf all late-game heroes across the board, so herokill would be less of a "game-ending move".
Orb of corruption got nerfed down to -4 armor already and with Lord of the rings patch it indirectly nerf it even more
In fact there are 2 other stronger orbs, orb of venom slowing AS & MS, stacking poison with each other and dryads' or orb of lightning proccing every 3 hits perma locking down units/heroes

Everything from positioning, units composition and management, resources harvesting, buildings position and base defence, hero hp/mana management, damage recovery, micro, macro etc etc...
