Same at the facility I work at. They knew the weather was changing & the heaters STILL don't work correctly. I would have had an electric heater plugged in for my students. They want everyone at work/school but, can't provide proper heating. Smh.

With temps this low that is NOT acceptable. At least he apologized. Those kids were probably freezing in there. What angers me... they would have known this weather was coming. They could have AT LEAST contacted parents over it!! I'm San Antonio's local storm chaser & saw firsthand what the recent freeze did!
Well they just said yesterday that they were checking everything out before the children were to return back to school and what were the situations even before the holidays to begin with???
You know, half the times, these kids stay home anyway. The fact that they were in class was a blessing. SAISD has the lowest scores and graduation rate. And that’s on a sunny day. 🤦♂️🤦♂️ a little chill would’ve kept them awake in class 🤷♂️🤷♂️
How was it the kids fault when they wore coats and etc to school. The classrooms are not suppose to be colder than it is outside period. If it's cold outside its going to be much colder in the classrooms if there is no heat.

You have an obligation to let parents know they have no heat so parents can not take kids to school or pick them up or not send them simple.

SAISD has not received an increase in funding from the state since 2019! The root problem is lack of funding for education :(
