Great Danes are the most loving dogs I’ve ever known. I had one and I couldn’t help but let him snuggle me all the time. They don’t smell bad the way smaller dogs do, and the shedding is minimum, so how could I or would I resist? I miss him. He was such a sweet 220 lb boy.

before adopting two puppies, i travel at least four times a year abroad for vacation, now i have them, i could compromise to only have two travels per year. But this year because of ncov scare, no travel for me, but i don't feel bad because i have my dogs.

I have a cat like this. My wife found him about 10 years ago as a stray kitten outside her workplace in the bushes, hungry. She called me to ask if it was OK to bring him (Oliver) home. I am not a cat person so, I said we'll give it a try but if it doesn't work, we can't keep him. That night he fell asleep in my arms upside down. Needless to say, we kept him. Ever since his first day, we have not gone a morning without him running up to me as soon as I a wake for a hug. He follows me around all day like a dog, and he's lying next to me as I type this. I couldn't imagine life without him.

He’s so huge but u see the love radiant from her. So gentle with the little one. Most children r scared of dogs that r huge but that baby girl took to him instantly & he did to her also. I used to travel a lot before. But I miss my cats so much when I travel, that I just dont travel anymore. I realize that my kittens bring me so much more happiness than my travels did.
I think if we were to one day increase the number of years of how long a dog lived to a large chunk , be it 35 , 50 or 70. I think there would be a lot more cracking down on population control.
I've never seen a more loyal and gentle dog than a Dane. I miss my mum and brothers Danes. Buddy (my brothers dane) was a blue Merle, he was beautiful inside and out. He knew what time it was everyday when my brother was supposed to come home from school, he would put his head on the windowsill and stand there looking out the window everyday waiting for him to come home from school, when my brother would get home he would jump up and down so excited. He used to run up the stairs at night and wait for him at the top of the stairs for my brother to go up to bed. Those 2 were tied at the hip, everywhere my brother was there was buddy. Then one day we noticed he couldn't go up the stairs as easily, then he eventually couldn't go up the stairs at all. Found out he had cancer in his bones, we had him put to sleep a few months after we found out when he just didn't have any quality of life anymore. Buddy only lived to be about 3 years old. I felt so terrible for my brother. And my mums dane used to go into bloat, the last time his stomach torsioned, they were able to fix it with surgery but the day after surgery he went outside to pee, and his stomach torsioned again cutting off blood supply and his heart stopped. He was only 4. They give the absolute most love while they're in your live, they just dont live long, and the health problems are heart breaking to watch.

I think if we were to one day increase the number of years of how long a dog lived to a large chunk , be it 35 , 50 or 70. I think there would be a lot more cracking down on population control.
I've never seen a more loyal and gentle dog than a Dane. I miss my mum and brothers Danes. Buddy (my brothers dane) was a blue Merle, he was beautiful inside and out. He knew what time it was everyday when my brother was supposed to come home from school, he would put his head on the windowsill and stand there looking out the window everyday waiting for him to come home from school, when my brother would get home he would jump up and down so excited. He used to run up the stairs at night and wait for him at the top of the stairs for my brother to go up to bed. Those 2 were tied at the hip, everywhere my brother was there was buddy. Then one day we noticed he couldn't go up the stairs as easily, then he eventually couldn't go up the stairs at all. Found out he had cancer in his bones, we had him put to sleep a few months after we found out when he just didn't have any quality of life anymore. Buddy only lived to be about 3 years old. I felt so terrible for my brother. And my mums dane used to go into bloat, the last time his stomach torsioned, they were able to fix it with surgery but the day after surgery he went outside to pee, and his stomach torsioned again cutting off blood supply and his heart stopped. He was only 4. They give the absolute most love while they're in your live, they just dont live long, and the health problems are heart breaking to watch.

When I was twelve, I was so scared that the house sitter would forget to feed my precious fishie. He was my first fishie and a good old soul.
Monday through Friday for me is just the daily grind I have to go through until I can hurry home to my dog. On weekends he's by my side everywhere I go, unless he's not allowed in (grocery store, restaurants, etc).
