In fairness, using the satanist angle was a great way to get free promotion of an album back then. Ozzy's marketing was built around creating that controversy
It is obvious how amazing Randy Rhodes guitar work is on this track. But what often gets overlooked is how brilliant that Ozzy is as a lyricist. People often make fun of Ozzy and his incoherent manner of speaking, but if you really take time to read the lyrics that he's written through the years you can truly appreciate the depth and genius of his work as a song writer and poet. That aspect of his talent, in my opinion, has been grossly overlooked.
I think his is the best Ozzy music video ever made. So minimalistic that everything stands out, it really gives the impression the band enjoys what they are doing. I loved it!
Yeah, most of guitar part is actually somewhat logical on the animations, unlike some of those where it's just fast picking/strumming and random movement on the fretboard

Walked into my first guitar lesson at 12 years old "I wanna learn how to play crazy train!" So glad I got to see him in concert! Best concert I've ever been to. Tits were flashed everywhere, the smoke in the field heavy from joints being passed around from everyone next to you. The vibe at his concert doesn't compare to any other I've been to 🤟

I was 13 when this album came out and I really wasn't into music. A new friend who was, said you gotta hear the new Ozzy Osbourne album. Who the hell is Ozzy Osbourne I thought. Sounds like a cartoon character. I listened to the album and I was hooked and became a full fledged metal mongor!!🤘 Still rocking to Ozzy now in my 50's. THANK YOU Ozzy!! Walked into my first guitar lesson at 12 years old "I wanna learn how to play crazy train!" So glad I got to see him in concert! Best concert I've ever been to. Tits were flashed everywhere, the smoke in the field heavy from joints being passed around from everyone next to you. The vibe at his concert doesn't compare to any other I've been to 🤟
