Coming from someone who's mom was clueless when it came to makeup (still is), I found it so interesting that your mom was into all of those OG products. It seems like you had a pretty good guide for getting into makeup. It would be cool to see a video with a full face of your mom's faves (if you haven't already that is)!
I'd love to see that, my mums 60 and has never been interested in makeup, I doubt she owns any! Here I am wanting my baby son to get older so I can put makeup on him 😂
Same. My mom never went to Sephora. She only goes to bareminerals, but I was never into it ( I like the mineral veil though). I learned about makeup from RUclips and started shopping at Sephora not that long ago.
I love that you inherited your mom’s card, I love how emotional you get, connecting your makeup to actual feelings. Gurus don’t care about the makeup anymore, my ass.
You have such a calming presence and your creative content keeps me coming back. You're genuinely one of my MOST favourite RUclipsrs. More power to you Jamie!
***Jamie, you should do a video where you show/use all the firsts from each brand. First products you ever used from Wet N Wild, first product from BH Cosmetics, first from Maybelline, etc... you could do a drug store version and a high end version. OR you could do a "First Loves" = first product you ever loved from each brand...foundation you ever loved, first lipstick, first blush, etc... either from each brand or in general and maybe put them on to see how or if they're the same... just an idea.**
I mean I understand that the UD Naked palette is a huge part of history but when you think about has anyone actually bought it recently? I think most people bought theirs a while ago and a lot of better things have released in the recent years. In my opinion it’s smart for UD to do this, but they should also discontinue the Naked 2 and 3. I have a conspiracy that they will do this after a while and release a Naked Nudes or something along those lines with the formula improved. The palette will most likely have more mattes (as consumers always complained there aren’t enough of them in the originals) and will be a variety of neutral tones. Maybe a Naked Cool will appear as well - cool tones shadows, hopefully more variety than the Naked 2 had.
That would be a very smart decision as a whole. I feel most times us regular folks have better ideas for makeup and marketing than the brands themselves! :/
I'm one of the few that still uses my naked palette. To me it's the perfect palette for an every day look. I'm a teacher and I sometimes find that a lot of newer palettes are too warm to wear to work. The naked palette is super neutral. I bought mine in 2014. I'm thinking about throwing it out and buying a new one before it's gone.
Jamie!! I would love to see another video with your mom. My mom is trying to get more into makeup but she’s unaware of which items to purchase. We would love more videos that target mature skin (makeup and skincare!). Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know what it is, but *every* time I watch a video of yours I get so inspired and all I wanna do is go to my collection and create a new look, and just play with makeup! You are like a breath of fresh air!
You’re becoming one of my favs youtubers, haven’t been subscribed for that long but omg you’re amazing. So genuine and unique. You content is always good and so fun. Even tho I have an oily complexion your advices are the best so I can see more or less what can work for me 🙌🏼 keep doin you guuuurl!
When I was in middle school when I started getting zits, My mom bought me the porefessional and I would cake it on thinking it was concealer/foundation and then being like “why can I still see my zits?”😂😂
Oh wow, didn't know it was possible to be this early. Love this idea, so nice and something very different. Love that you put a spin on it and I like that it's still very informative. There aren't any Sephora's in my country and the exchange rate when I go overseas kills me so I've never been able to buy anything from Sephora. This was so brilliant! Loved the video and this was really interesting because it also mentions products that aren't really talked about anymore.
Why does your voice ease my anxiety?! I didn't even realize I was having anxiety until it started to go away after the first few minutes of your video! Thanks for another great video Jamie, I really love this idea. :)
Jamie Paige aww! Another channel that helps me is Peaceful Cuisine. Most of his videos come with the option of music or nothing but the cooking sounds. Unless he’s building something he very rarely talks and it’s so soothing.
I feel the same about the Naked palette, I am 100% sure this is just a move to get people talking about it and they will bring it back maybe with a new packaging, couple of new shades and a matte black!
NAKED Basics 2 was my first purchase and my favorite palette. I literally use it everytime I wear makeup. My makeup style is very minimal and natural and I think that that palette is perfect for a natural/neutral look. It’s super compact too!
Becca opal is actually available with a LE edition breast cancer awareness emblem in the powder with proceeds going towards the breast cancer research fund!
Helen Garnett it was the first product of its kind. That packaging didn’t exist until Terry de Gunzburg (founder of by terry) invented it. It only came in one color for years! Back then, I feel like when people talked about concealers, they were referring to one that would cover imperfections. I think this product started the “under eye concealer” movement. Now when you ask for concealer, people assume under eye as if there is no other kind.
It was so fun going down memory lane with you girl! A lot of your firsts were mines at the same time! When I heard about the Naked palette discontinuing, I went out and bought one because it definitely is apart of makeup history, a Big Bang followed from brands behind it. I will never forget September 21st 2012 cause I also got the Naked 1 and 2! It was my 17th birthday. This was a great video!
Love this! I watched Taylor's and then Samantha's as they did it. Gotta tell you...really enjoyed your take! I really like the way you do favorites and now this! So much more fun to watch! Well done, milady!
My first sephora purchase was actually last week! It was the tartelette palette 😊 NZ only has an online store that doesn't stock everything which makes it difficult 😂 my friend was such a gem and bought this for me while she was in Hawaii
My very first Sephora purchase was the Shiseido eyelash curler in 2013 and I still have it today! It is the BEST eyelash curler I have ever used and it fits my eye shape so much better than most because of my Asian heritage.
The first time I bought stuff from Sephora was when I moved to Germany. I got the KvD shade & light palette and an ABH liquid lip. I don’t use liquid lipsticks much anymore but that palette definitely has a special place in my heart hahah ... love you Jamie 💕
I love this video from all 3 of you! I love how you changed it up a bit! The first few purchases I have are UD 24/7 liners in Deep End and Freaskshow (two of my faves still), Flowerbomb perfume (still love and get compliments on this) and Tarte Lipsurgance chubby stick (these sucked and I decluttered this a long time ago).
I love that you added a tutorial. Great addition. Nice walk down memory lane. Also with all the craziness and over saturation of new products, quality control, and consumers unable to continue to keep up.... This was great because most people prolly have these og products and you're breathing life back into them. We all need to use up what we have hahaha. Thanks again.
mine is the clinique "quickliner intense" for eyes (blue for whatever reason in 2013) and a brown sephora-brand eyeshadow called morning mocha that I used to colour in my brows allll the time (bought two years later, though!)
I wasn’t into makeup til two years ago when I found Beauty RUclips vids. At 43. I owned the Naked palette and pretty sure it was the only larger palette I owned. But I didn’t get how people used all the shadows. I used the Naked taupe color and the vanilla shade. I even bought them in singles. I owned one brush. I recently got rid of it because it was so old. But it was $27 because they are discontinuing it and I had to repurchase. I slept on the clearance price at first and was sold out when I changed my mind. Sephora restocked it a few days ago and I jumped on it. For sentimental reasons but more because I love the shades and NOW know how to use all the shades!! Thanks to RUclips. I didn’t have RUclips growing up. There was no internet. My mom wore like three things. Nobody ever taught me. So thankful for RUclips. I have a blast now with makeup and love learning new things and amazed how well I can do my makeup now. Also a full fledged skincare addict!
I was a late bloomer to the makeup game, but my first Sephora purchases were a Sephora favorites kit, a Tarte Essentials kit, some Sephora brand pencils, lipsticks and cc cream, the Urban Decay Spectrum palette, and the Tarte Energy Noir palette.
I had that Stila lip glaze too! My first order included a Rosebud strawberry lip balm, Diorshow mascara, Perricone MD No Blush Blush and the Urban Decay Naked2 palette.
OMG laguna and Orgasm were my go to’s and probably because that’s what everyone was using at the time. Can’t even remember the last time I bought them! You look super stunning btw.
watching Jamie's video again when it's just uploaded. I don't know what happened to me but I'm excited! Also, Jamie, I would love to see you review nars atomic blonde palette
Loved this video, Jamie! It’s so interesting to see what people were purchasing before there was an over-saturation of products on the market. Also I live for how calming your voice is 😍
That would be cool but I would never disclose the oldest product in my collection because it is disgustingly old. I’m probably going to be buried in it.
My first order was a Korres lip butter, an urban decay optical blurring foundation brush, and the hourglass hyaluronic skin tint. I still use the brush but I never repurchased either of the other items. That skin tint may need a revisit once I run out of my it cc cream and lancome skin feels good, though!
My first Sephora purchase was Ultimate Basics eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay. My journey with makeup started a year and a half ago. I'd never been interested in makeup before that (I'm 22) but I guess my curiosity had accumulated throught the years and made me a real makeup junkie after all! :D
Oh gosh! The first thing I remember that I properly bought from Sephora was the stila eyeliner; which I still die hard love and probably one of their loofah! Sephora loofahs are some of the best loofahs I have ever used.
Yess!!! I had the ammo palette as well (I used it till that mirror broke)! I thought mine was naked too but I was wrong, that purple Last Call was my JAM in high school!
My first Sephora purchase was the Bite Beauty Watercolor Lipgloss kit, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation stick, and a mini Sephora foundation brush. I used those ultra pastel glosses like once lol
This was such an awesome video idea! We are similar in age, so I remember when lots of these things were huge in the beauty community - I bought the YSL touché eclait too and I have no idea why because i feel like it doesn’t do anything??? Also totally agree with your Naked palette conspiracy. Anyways, this was really entertaining to watch, thanks Jamie!
The Touche Eclat Pen!! I remember feeling exactly the same way - that concealer was going to change my life once I had my hands on it 😂 I found one at Winners and felt like I had literally struck gold... and then didn't even like it lmao. Loved your take on this video! xo
Uh! I loved this video so much!! 😍 it’s crazy how far we’ve all come lol my first order consisted or Nars Orgasm (of course), Sephora Khol pencil and the Benefit Liquid Highlighter.
The first thing I got at Sephora was a Benefit box of mini complexion products, primer, foundation, concealer etc. I had THE oiliest skin at the time and the porefessional din NOTHING for my skin. I remember being so determined to make it work because “everyone” on RUclips was raving about it! [This is me writing a short comment btw😂] Love your channel, your always so thorough and concise ❤️❤️❤️
My first Sephora purchase was the original Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. I was in my early 40’s back then and I had never used a primer. I didn’t watch You Tube videos but I saw an ad for it in a magazine (I think it was Cosmopolitan) and I ordered it. I’ve never stopped using a primer since the day I first used it. It is still a favorite for me but these days I have several in my collection and I’m now in my 50’s.
Is it possible to zoom in tightly when you apply foundation and concealer? And if you could make it so that the picture is more HD, that'd help tremendously. Right now it's a bit blurry. Thanks!
The first proper purchase I ever bought from Sephora with my own money was the natural eye palette by Too Faced about 18 months ago, and I’ve been in love with makeup ever since ❤️ love you Jamie!
Could you do a video on Sephora or Ulta brand makeup? Like which ones are good and which ones are crap? Like dupes if you will for more expensive stuff!
Benefit roller lash in 2015! That was the first time when Sephora came to India! And I remember buying this from my first paycheck along with Sephora collection lipsticks!
Loved your spin on it girl!!
so glad you liked it!! :D thanks for the awesome video idea
My two faves 💜

I'd love to see that, my mums 60 and has never been interested in makeup, I doubt she owns any! Here I am wanting my baby son to get older so I can put makeup on him 😂
Or swapping routines? Maybe Jamie doing her mom’s make-up with her mom’s favorites 😄
Same. My mom never went to Sephora. She only goes to bareminerals, but I was never into it ( I like the mineral veil though). I learned about makeup from RUclips and started shopping at Sephora not that long ago.
same! I had to teach myself through youtube videos and my girlfriends
I love that you inherited your mom’s card, I love how emotional you get, connecting your makeup to actual feelings. Gurus don’t care about the makeup anymore, my ass.
Artliker1234 lol you as Jaime just made me realize since I have a 12 year old I wonder if she’ll eventually inherit my beauty card as well 😱
You have such a calming presence and your creative content keeps me coming back. You're genuinely one of my MOST favourite RUclipsrs. More power to you Jamie!

Mdi223 I agree. I have tons of ideas just for the revamping of this palette! ☺️
Nikki L I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what’s going on, that was the whole point of making a big deal out of it being discontinued.
Omg the Stila lip glaze, such a classic mom lip product!! I used to always steal them from her :)
Jamie!! I would love to see another video with your mom. My mom is trying to get more into makeup but she’s unaware of which items to purchase. We would love more videos that target mature skin (makeup and skincare!). Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

this makes me v v happy
Your last screen shot makes me think about how much I’d love to see a video on your fav brushes
Ahhhh Jamie!!! You constantly crank out amazing content, and the way you edit your videos is awesome. You're forever one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
Didn’t realize what a make up influence I was to you! My has the tide turned!!! Lol
You honestly are my RUclips soul sister..... I don't understand how I can relate to someone this much in terms of makeup ♥♥
Great video! Which setting powder do you prefer now? I’m indecisive between Laura translucent versus the hour glass setting powder? Help!?
I'm so excited when I watch your vids. Favorite beauty guru! Godbless Jamie.
When I was in middle school when I started getting zits, My mom bought me the porefessional and I would cake it on thinking it was concealer/foundation and then being like “why can I still see my zits?”😂😂
Abigail oh nooo😂😂

Jamie, can you PLEASE review new Clinique Even Better Glow foundation?
Christina Merry I really like it I’m dryer skin type it covers really well for me
It’s so good even on my combination skin, the coverage is good too it buildable
The new Lancôme “feels like skin” I think, is AMAZING!!
Why does your voice ease my anxiety?! I didn't even realize I was having anxiety until it started to go away after the first few minutes of your video! Thanks for another great video Jamie, I really love this idea. :)
I’m so happy that my videos could do that for you 😭💖 if only my voice eased my own anxiety 😂😂😂
Jamie Paige aww! Another channel that helps me is Peaceful Cuisine. Most of his videos come with the option of music or nothing but the cooking sounds. Unless he’s building something he very rarely talks and it’s so soothing.
Purpley/pink lips and a teal under eye. Jamiepaigebeauty killing the makeup game
This is literally giving me crazy nostalgia! The professional and primer potion were also some of my first Sephora purchases!

Girl I am living for the black acrylics 😍😍😍 you have me feeling fall vibes!
I like your spin on this vid concept!!! And yes I had one of those Stila Lip Glazes in Strawberry 🍓

Yes ... I had loads of those Stila glosses and also bought the holiday packs. They were my favorite!!! Your mom is on it!
Absolutely love your videos. Your vibe and aesthetic is so refreshing 💙💙💙

I was obsessed with the ammo palette. I always wore the purples!!
I just randomly was looking at all my old purchases last night - so funny! love this!
I loved these Stila lip glosses as well! Of course grapefruit as well!!
Coffee + Jamie Paige = perfect friday morning
1. I live this video. 2. I love you. 3. The Sephora baked bronzer duo which I have since given away haha
Love the grwm spin on this tag! 💗💗💗
Oh the Laura mercier tinted moisturizer. Makeup by alli made me buy that way back in the day.
This was so nostalgic and I loved hearing all the stories behind each purchase 💕
That Quebecois pronunciation sneaking in on turquoise ;) Adorable!
She doesn't even speak french lol
mine is the clinique "quickliner intense" for eyes (blue for whatever reason in 2013) and a brown sephora-brand eyeshadow called morning mocha that I used to colour in my brows allll the time (bought two years later, though!)
The YSL concealer is one of my favorites. What would be the drugstore dupe for that?
the l'oreal lumi would be a great alternative!
@@JamiePaige thanks! Love your videos.

Your channel is a breath of fresh air on this platform. Thank you so much for staying true to yourself and continuing to create wonderful content. 🧡

OMG laguna and Orgasm were my go to’s and probably because that’s what everyone was using at the time. Can’t even remember the last time I bought them! You look super stunning btw.
I remember those sticky Stila lip glosses! I once got one of those holiday kits from Costco as a gift and used those forever.
What are some good, less expensive "dupes" for the Touche Eclat Concealer?
watching Jamie's video again when it's just uploaded. I don't know what happened to me but I'm excited! Also, Jamie, I would love to see you review nars atomic blonde palette
What beauty sponge are you using?
What are the drugstore dupes for Touche Eclat? Must know!!!
Loved this video, Jamie! It’s so interesting to see what people were purchasing before there was an over-saturation of products on the market. Also I live for how calming your voice is 😍
Omg the Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit was my favorite!! 😂
I totally agree I think they are going to re-do the Naked palette!! Would be cool to see what they come up with.
what is your favorite undereye setting powder?
Gold shimmer bronzer looks fantastic on dark skin I find.
YES!! STILA lipgloss! Jennifer Lopez used it on Wedding Planner 👰🏻 I loved them too!!
My first Sephora purchase was the Nars desire blush - west Edmonton mall. I was so overwhelmed I was squirrling out hard! 😂💕
The first thing I ever bought from Sephora was the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette
Oldest makeup in your collection video? Could be a new tag
Sarah Ajao please!!!
Yess!
That would be cool but I would never disclose the oldest product in my collection because it is disgustingly old. I’m probably going to be buried in it.
My first ever order was the Sephora collection Nano liner in praline. I’ll never forget it!
Awesome video! These are the types of videos we need to see more often! 👌🏼❤️
The sweetest girl on youtube! Your videos are so interesting 💘💚
I bought the same glosses from Stila! I loved those 😊. I really like your hairstyle and color. It compliments you perfectly.
I remember those stila lipgloss sets! My mom would buy them and then I would steal them from her vanity too😂The memories😂
UD Ammo Palette was my first palette too!! I still have it but Maui Wowie broke years ago. Is it bad that I still love it and occasionally use it?
lol!! giiiirl i still have my 2012 naked palette.... not bad at all 😂
The Touche Eclat Pen!! I remember feeling exactly the same way - that concealer was going to change my life once I had my hands on it 😂 I found one at Winners and felt like I had literally struck gold... and then didn't even like it lmao. Loved your take on this video! xo
The Naked Palette was my first perchace in Sephora too
The first thing I ordered was a Buxom full on lip cream in the shade Rose Julep at the recommendation of Kathleen Lights
omg I literally went through a drawer of really old makeup I had the other day and I threw out one of those Stila lip glazes!! I used to love them!
OOO IM EXCITED FOR THIS UPLOAD ! finally something different from the no make up .. Make up looks you do every week .. Not a rude way either ..
My first eyeshadow palette was the naked palette and I still love using it to this day ❤️❤️
Omg the UD Ammo palette!!!!! I had that bc of bethany mota and it was my first too!!
That lip glaze was my first sephora purchase also, same shade too. Those were THE product when I was younger.
Uh! I loved this video so much!! 😍 it’s crazy how far we’ve all come lol my first order consisted or Nars Orgasm (of course), Sephora Khol pencil and the Benefit Liquid Highlighter.
My first Sephora purchase was a year an a half ago (when my country didn’t have Sephora yet) in Paris and I bought the Abh dip brow
The first thing I got at Sephora was a Benefit box of mini complexion products, primer, foundation, concealer etc. I had THE oiliest skin at the time and the porefessional din NOTHING for my skin. I remember being so determined to make it work because “everyone” on RUclips was raving about it!
[This is me writing a short comment btw😂]
Love your channel, your always so thorough and concise ❤️❤️❤️
please do a blush and bronzer declutter
I had the skull urban decay palette. First eyeshadow palette and such a big deal. I'd totally buy it again if I could!
I’m so happy you made this video. I’ve been wanting someone to do this!
Is it possible to zoom in tightly when you apply foundation and concealer? And if you could make it so that the picture is more HD, that'd help tremendously. Right now it's a bit blurry. Thanks!
Apricot was my fave of the Stila glosses!!!!
I love the ysl under eye brightener. I only use this and not concealer
