I’m think of getting one of Shogun Connects but will the hardware have issues with the new update? I may just spend the extra few hundred for the Ultra
I just want to know if I can use the ninja ultra as the on cam recorder and send the video feed wireless to the shogun ultra as a directors monitor on set with just using the connect feature ?do i have to pay to use wifi on my atomos ninja ultra with the connect? It wont let me connect to wifi!
There are 2 ways that you can do this. If you have the Atomos Connect on the Ninja Ultra and are using the Shogun Ultra with the Connect antennas you could purchase the NDI Upgrade for both Devices. As long as both devices are connected to the same network you could use the NDI Encode feature to put the Video from the Ninja Ultra onto your network and then use the NDI Decode feature on the Shogun Ultra to display what the Ninja Ultra is seeing. If you do not have a Wi-Fi network and do not want to use NDI you could get some form of Wireless HDMI Transmitter/Receiver from Teradek or Hollyland and plug the Transmitter into the Output of the Ninja Ultra and then take the receiver and plug that into the input of the Shogun Ultra to see what the Ninja Ultra is seeing. I hope this helps! If you have further questions feel free to give us a call at (800) 323 2325
The Ninja allows you to record HDMI RAW inputs up to 6K at 30fps while simultaneously looping out standard YCC video via HDMI to non-RAW compatible devices.
The Ninja Ultra can record up to 8K 30 ProRes with a Canon R5. For a full list of compatible products you can visit Atomos website: www.atomos.com/compatible-cameras
If you are using the NDI Encoding functionality of the Connect family products, you shouldn't see more than a frame or 2 of latency when monitoring on another device. This will of course be ultimately determined by your WIFI Speed.
Thanks for the video! Could you tell, if Ninja Ultra can record 4K in 120p? The informations on websites differ and I can't find credible information anywhere
Hi @Evengard the NInja Ultra can record 4K 120p but not in all formats or on all cameras. At the bottom of this page there is a chart with all of the options for resolutions in different formats: www.atomos.com/explore/ninja-ultra/
@@Videoguys hi, thanks for the answer. Yes, I've seen the chart. Received the feedback from Atomos support, unfortunately this mode doesn't work with Sony a7iv. But, thank you for response anyways
Hello. I want to know the weight of shogun ultra monitor. On its website it is stated that 360gr is 0.79lbs. I want to know what is the real weight of the product. All I want is to know how many grams the monitor is, I would be very happy if you could give me information.
According to Atomos website the monitor weighs 730gr without batteries. That is the weight I would go off of. here is the link with all information on the Shogun Ultra os11.atomos.com/explore/shogun-ultra/
