Welldone! Bro. This is a very good and simplistic explanation of Solar PV system sizing with major components captured. I like you very coordinated handwriting too lol 😆. From my perspective, I would rather calculate the sizing of the panels using the total WH (energy) capacity of the battery bank. I think that a 1200W array is not sufficient to charge a 2290W battery bank. (assuming the system is totally off-grid). I think that in practice, and for stability reasons, the loads in a PV system are essentially fed by the battery bank while the panel feeds the battery bank. Which is why I think the magnitude of daily energy generation by the panels should >= than the energy capacity of the battery bank. What do you think?
The clearest presentation I have tuned in to on sizing for solar system and battery bank. I look forward to the link to the excel sheet. Also, please explain the battery loss rationale again. Excellent presentation
I ❤ the way you explain things short and straight to the point, I leave in one village in Namibia and I didn't know why I had problems with my power system, but now I fully understand, keep it up with a good job
Very clear and understandable presentations. No much technical jargon. Could you kindly make a video of the process of connecting (wiring) the inverter, to the home Distribution Box (DB). thanks.
I really enjoyed every bit of this wonderful video. It has really helped me in my project here in Ghana. Thanks so much. Keep it up! I have contacted you through your email to ask you some few questions too.
Thanks engineer that you have shared with us a great knowledge in one of the sectors of renewable energy, but I would like to point out one thing: The depth of discharging the batteries you mentioned and the one you used in the calculation are too different. You used 0.6 in the calculation instead of 0.4.
Good presentation, accurate and straight to point. Am not too clear about sizeing of Charge control. Can you throw more light on the charge controller also if you can as well share the excel sheet you made mention during your presentation.
Hello Thanks for this well clear explanation But according to this your calculation we have randomly 1200wpv and 1200ah battery Can 1200w PV charge battery of 1200ah battery?
Hello, thank you for your great video. How long will that battery take to charge with the PV array you've suggested?? I think the array ought to be sized after you work out the battery size otherwise the battery won't fully charge ‼️
Sir, i really appreciate your resentation. I will like to known if i can use Wizord 4 for two plots of land. If No how many distance can Wizord 4 energizer can covers effectively. Thanks as i await your reply.
Bro do one on the hybrid system inverter. Thanks. So I am naive to determine the wattage of my lg freezer which has a rating power of 220-240V and rated current of 1.35A and working hours is 12hrs or back up time with a capacity of 171litres. Help me calculate the watts so that I can use it for the calculations. Thank you for the informative lecture
The actual AH of battery needed may be less because during daytime assuming its a sunny day the load will run on fully solar and a part of the solar will be used to charge battery... please explain about this....am i not correct??

Hello Engineer, Iam in Uganda , iam student of Renewable energy , this is too great, I thank God for you
Simon, thanks for the information. It was very clear and easy to follow. I think it has been the easiest that I have found. Thanks a lot!!
Hello engineer I am in Kenya I am student of Renewable energy am very happy with the instructions,be blessed
The best explanation I've ever received on this topic. May the Almighty reward you abundantly.
Thanks soo muuuuuch
The best explanation.
Solar system made simple!
This the most simplified explanation ever please keep it up Mr
I'm in Nigeria,a service provider. Your tutorial is great. Good one.
This is a very straightforward step by step procedure for a solar system design. Thank you for sharing your experience
Your explanation is outstanding. is the first time a get a detailed explanation like this. Keep up the good work.
The best tutorial i have ever come across online and youtube
This is one of the most helpful calculations I have ever come across.
The clearest presentation I have tuned in to on sizing for solar system and battery bank. I look forward to the link to the excel sheet. Also, please explain the battery loss rationale again. Excellent presentation
This is really educative for any beginner. Kudos bro
You help me to achieve my thesis, Thank you boss, Am from your neighbor country Ethiopia
I ❤ the way you explain things short and straight to the point, I leave in one village in Namibia and I didn't know why I had problems with my power system, but now I fully understand, keep it up with a good job
very nice explanation and simple to understand thank you so much for sharing it may almighty God reward you plentifully and abundantly amin
Excellent presentation, please keep on for the learners to gain more
I'm in Cameroon,a service provider.That was a great one
Thank you my brother such educative explanations that put me on the Wright track for solar installation in sierra leone.
Very informative, clear and excellent explained 👌👌❤
Brilliant!! Love how you cracked it down bit by bit 🙌🙌
Well presented but two thing are
1. You need to consider panels generation factor
2. Electrical appliances have loose you also have to consider that
So clearly explained. Thank you so much Sir
Very clear and understandable presentations. No much technical jargon.
Could you kindly make a video of the process of connecting (wiring) the inverter, to the home Distribution Box (DB). thanks.
Thank you so much , it's a lot clear now how you do the calculation. Excellent video
Precise explanation am a student thanks for the great work
My brother very well explained , i love how you show everything from start.thx
This is sooo informative. Thanks a lot
Very interesting, good training
I really enjoyed every bit of this wonderful video. It has really helped me in my project here in Ghana. Thanks so much. Keep it up! I have contacted you through your email to ask you some few questions too.
Thanks so much, for such a good explanation on issues related to solar sizing. I hope to keep in touch with you.
This is really good! loved your detailed explanations, and hoping for more videos👍
Hi, very informative and simple to understand.Good job
Best video on sizing in the internet
Good work. I appreciate you. From Nigeria
Very clearly explanation but my question is why have you size solar panel first
Very detailed yet short and precise. Thank you
Yeah, this is a clear and as well fascinating information. I loved this video. 100 for you sir

How will calculate Hybrid system by PVSyst software ?
could you please make a complete tutorials by PVSyst. It will be very helpful
Very clearly explained
The actual AH of battery needed may be less because during daytime assuming its a sunny day the load will run on fully solar and a part of the solar will be used to charge battery... please explain about this....am i not correct??
can i please have the excel file for calculations.Thank you
Very informative. Kindly quote for me how much all this would cost in kshs
For the system you design would it be okay to use a 2000-watt inverter?
