I have a question i am from kenya .is it possible to connect 2 batteries in series and another 2 in parallel in the same circuit

If you connect two batteries in series let's say a 12v battery, the voltage will double to 24v. if you want to add batteries in the battery bank, the batteries must also be connected in series with the same voltage. if you connect them in parallel, the voltage will be 12v this will make them not to be compatible with the batteries that are connected in series.
