- This is was transcribed and arranged by me a number of years ago. I recently recorded this for a few "Remote Festivals" and thought I'd share it here on my channel. I only used complete takes and did not edit the audio...so all the mistakes are there for you to enjoy!!!

As always, sounds fantastic. Makes me want to go practice. Bravo!
Mike, that means the World coming from you brother!
Correct!🇺🇸📯🎼🎨🎬
Wonderful to hear this so beautifully in that octave. Superb
Thanks so much, Maestro!
Thanks, Chris. Fabulous!
Bravo! You have inspired me to play tuba tomorrow.
Superbe interprétation, merci
Thank you!🙏
I am really impressed.
this is a very elegant piece of music but not in the traditional way and I never even knew you could do that with the valves(I am a pretty new tuba player) I only now found your channel but dont worry I will be coming back for more, and you definitely have a new subscriber
Thank you!
What mistakes, brother? AWESOME playing!
Thank you for posting this video!
Very amazing sound and technique! Thank you, very inspiring 😎
Hey Chris, I just thought about tackling these in this range last week, and I'm so glad to hear you play these in this range. As far as I could tell, this is completely unheard of until I came across your videos. Thank you so much!
Thanks for your kind words, Nick!

Fantastic as always, Mr. Olka! Thank you!

Woah, that was awesome!
Hi, is that arranje available? Muito bom, musical. Thx.
Bravíssimo, lindo som de tuba contrabass!
Thank you!
Always excellent. Don’t suppose you could post a pdf file link for anyone wanting to torture themselves on this?
I agree I would like a pdf as well, and as a side note it is interesting that you are a tuba player in Las Vegas, so am I!
Just take the original free score and read it down an octave, that's what Chris is doing. Save a buck and be your own editor and find out what kinds of articulations and phrasings work for you.
wow...
Impressive basses. This musician and this piece deserve a much better recording.
I’ve recorded this for commercial release, but am waiting to get it picked up by a record label.
Top! Top! Congratulations! One day I still get a mouthpiece of that. You touch too much, exhale me.
What
What tuba are you Playing on?
Eastman 836 6/4 Tuba.
where can i get this score?
Only thing that bugs me about your otherwise GORGEOUS playing is the tendency to cut off notes sharply rather then giving them the proper duration and articulation. Perhaps this is a compromise tubists just have to make in order to grab an adequate breath.
C4pt41nN3m0 Interesting! I assumed one of the world’s best tubists wouldn’t do that if it weren’t necessary.
@@cmw12 In theory there shouldn’t be that compromise. He didn’t sound at his best overall here, and missed some notes. That can cause subconscious stress which leads to physical tension. Any small amount of bodily tension makes big breaths VERY difficult. Contrabass tuba is all about relaxation and smoothness. I can think of a couple contrabass tuba performances I’ve done in which a little stress led to tension and threw my entire breathing plan out of whack.
