They make it of the rank too quick. I think these players are usually like champ or gc already and use the hack to get higher that’s why we don’t see them in lower lobbies
the only people really try harding on this hack are the ones that are just not good enough to be "good" but feel like they are hard done by and actually better than pros, so ironically they prove it by relying on a hack to beat them
When I play smurfs I have no chance of winning against, I make it a point to score on myself as quickly and as often as possible, and never skip replays. It annoys them to HELL and makes the game lasts 15mins+. Idk if that's a pest strat that one can use against these invisible players
low rank freestyle smurfs especially. they want defenders to clip on but are too trash to score on their own rank so they go to diamond or plat to score. if you just drive to the opposite net or score on yourself they have nothing to clip lol
@@chuknukbubs6322i mean in general, you cant freestyle in your own rank without being punished by equally skilled players. Unless your goated SSL, in most cases you aren’t. Freestyle is basically throwing the game to get style points. ofc you’ll have to smurf in any given game to do this

Honestly, while this needs to be addressed by Psyonix, I would like to see them turn it into a non-competitive mode for those that actually want to test their skills like this. It certainly won't be a game mode that the majority would like, but clearly as you stated around the 9:10 mark: the competitor in you actually wants to get a rematch and try to whoop their ass lol.
keeping this in the game would mean the exploit would be easier to use since the script for the mode would be available in game already which makes it easier for hackers to use

As a console player, I'll just disable cross platform play. Funny how the disable cross platform option has typically been used by the "PC master race" folks so that they don't have to queue against the "console noobs". Far as I know, there's still no way for a console player to make their car invisible. Two other quick things: 1. It is in part because of exploits like this that Rocket League is an absolute joke now. 2. Whoever is doing this invisible cheat is quite literally the world's biggest loser. Please go outside and touch grass. Thank you.

tbh if the game was designed properly you would have to literally hack into amazon servers to cheat. The amount of security on AWS is insane, so clearly it's bad design

Since literally all data you recieve about your opponent in RL is sent to psyonix controlled servers before being sent to u, they've gotta be screwing with the data packets in ways that psyonix aren't catching with their current packet validation mechanisms. Either way, this has to be patchable as long as psyonix figure out what extra validation is needed on their end.
