It's unfortunate that the challenge lies in finding a professional that is as well-educated and/or willing to work with you. Not everyone is able to handle a doctor who is certain that the information you present them is wrong. So frustrating! But I'm so grateful for all the teaching you provide, Dr. Taylor. Free or not, it's priceless! I'm an RN with 37 years of experience, 12 in OB, and I learn so much from you that I never learned in school or on the job. Thank you so much! 😍

Thanks somuch for this info. My mother is of the belief that menopause is short term . I was raised believing this, until I learned from you that it is for the rest of your life. She is now 91 and has many problems that I think couldbe helped by taking a SERM. But, my sister who just turned 61 doesn't believe so, and she doesn't take estrogen either. I tried to educate her after I learned from your videos! I even shared some of your videos with her, but she closes her mind to them. Well, I do not want to wind up like my 91 year old mom, and have the problems that she has, of forgetfulness, osteoporosis, heart failure, wrinkling, etc. Therefore, I thank you for giving me so much education on this.

After watching so many of Menopause Barbie videos, I quickly realized she knew what she was talking about. Furthermore, Where else can you go to find someone (an MD, no less) who has done ALL the research for you. She is THE leading authority on menopause and so much more. That is why I quickly booked an appointment with her. Although the news I heard was not what I was hoping for, she set me on an unstoppable path. Dr Taylor is my inspiration to be and do better for myself.

I am angry and outraged.....yesterday I saw my GYN, armed with all the education and information I have learned from you, Dr Taylor. She straight out said, “You’re too late for HRT. I can prescribe Paxil or Effexor for your symptoms, but at 4 years post-menopause it’s too late.” She went on to cite the WHI report and how the other benefits of HRT have not been proven to be benefits at all. When she saw my obvious angry face and frustration she suggested I go to my PCP to get hormones. Unbelievable. I have another appointment with another doctor, but meanwhile I am suffering from pretty bad symptoms. I already had to wait 4 weeks for yesterday’s appointment and now must wait another 3 for the next doctor.

I desiced having all the knowledge from you to begin with having Mirena and also the estrogen patches (Dermestril 50) which I change every four days (began 34 days ago) .I am writting to you because I tried to book an one to one consultation with you and unfortunatelly (for me) the next available is end of March. My problem is that for the last 30 days now I have a little bleeding every day and because I had an appointment with my gynecologist yesterday, he told me that if it doesnt stop after 20-25 days he will have to advise me to quit!!! But the only person I trust is you not my gynecologist. He can't even propose to make a change or something else. I have had two pregnancies, have all my reproductive organs and have had a very regular period since I was 11. I was like clockwork, lol. That is, until January. Well, my last period was January 1st of this year (2020) and today is March 6th and I haven't had one since. I had my tubes tied at 26 but I know pregnancy is still possibly although not likely. Ive taken multiple pregnancy tests and even one where they drew my blood. They are all negative. I have new insurance and couldnt get an appointment with a new doctor until March 27. I had no symptoms of peri menopause that I noticed. Then in January after my last period , I began having a constant headache along skin dryness and vaginal dryness, insomnia and panic attacks or maybe just anxiety ( not sure bc ive never had either until now.) The only difference in my cycles before all this was that they were a couple of days longer than before but nothing major and then, now all of the sudden NOTHING. Could it be peri menopause or post menopause already? Thank you for all of the information you share with us!! Bless you beautiful lady!! 💕

By the symptoms I mentioned in my above comment, im not sure if im in peri menopause or not. I feel like i may be low on estrogen but maybe it's progesterone I need. I have been binge watching all you videos in order and am trying to get a better understanding. Ive never had heavy or irregular bleeding. Always right on time and now all of the sudden my period completely stopped. Skins dry, everything is dry which was never the case before. My Last period one was January 1st. I am wondering your take and the why behind these website and IG and Facebook “health hormone coaches” that have no medical credentials but offer programs that will help manage menopause by purchasing a DUTCH test from them, they give results and tell you what to tell the medical practitioner as far as treatment. First what’s up with the Dutch test, they say it’s the only way to test hormones and 2nd how can they offer these things without any medical credentials? Thank you

Hi, can you just answer this generally. Is it a bad idea to try and suppress periods now I’m in perimenopause? I’m just sick of them and now they are irregular and can be heavy. I have No underlying health issues. I actually just read in your book last night where you said that you can’t go against Mother Nature regarding periods but is there absolutely no way I can try and stop my periods using HRT? Is it better to just carry on having these irregular periods until they stop naturally? Thanks.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 месяца назад +1

You can "suppress" periods at any age. Any birth control that contains BOTH estrogen and progesterone in a continuous regimen does so.
But it requires birth control rather than HRT. They are the same thing, but completely different dosage ranges.
And getting this right specifically for YOU warrants a consultation.

You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. If you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a 5-day deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date.
      3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages.
      4) I will send you the document by email 72 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth.
      5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed.
      6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use.
      7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options.
The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got from the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request.
So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively).
I hope to meet you soon!

There is nothing that is right for everyone! Thats true in life in general! So many people get into trouble in life by copying others! I didn't know I needed a menopause education until I did! I thought menopause just meant my period would stop! Menopause has been pretty devastating for me with a parathyroid tumor, Osteoporosis (never once had a hot flash) and dealing with the stress of having to deal with doctors who are against HRT. I now have a menopause specialist. But all of my other doctors hassle me or try to anyway about HRT. Now I have a fibroid 10 CM and my doctors are all freaking out except for the menopause specialist. He is trying different things to help me. Without this education I would be freaking out too! I have enough problems so being armed with this education helps me to make informed decisions and to keep calm when my doctors are hysterical. Thank you for this education!

I'm creating "Pay it forward" program. So stay tuned, my dear.
I assure you that what I give you in a consultation is worth significantly more than the cost of the consultation. Ask any woman who has had one with me.
