Love this interview mostly because the way bhuti Jerry simplify the title of his book and would challenge him to write ✍️ part two of his book because i for one just by listening 🎶 to this interview has made me to finish what i started writing ✍️ and maje it complete to be published before i lives this earth 🌎. Educative experience in most of your interviews. Brilliant 👏 bravo 👏 to your ❤ work

Thank you for this pod cast. I have learnt so much.
All your pod cast are informative.
Mara they are like watching a movie, too long. But I like the fact that you give your guests enough time and space to express themselves and help them not to lose their train of thought. I love your work Mfo.

The title of the book "I am A Man",reminds me of the Sidney Poitier book " The Measure of A Man". I have really enjoyed this interview. Ntate Jerry Mofokeng is so brilliant. He's a master of his trade. Such a great wealth of wisdom and knowledge. He's achieved a lot and yet remains so humble. I'm definitely going to buy the book. Once more thanks David for a brilliant interview. 💪🔥

Thank u, King David, for another great podcast. You are tapping into something with these conversations about manhood. I don't know if the society is ready to take the antidote to learn and unlearn, but the platform is open. Tshepo Maseko and Jerry Mofokeng are throwing gems, and a large majority of us are listening. Fatherlessness has killed our families, and we are not okay. We need to rewire our mental set, and these guys are therapy. We need more of these conversations, please. We are learning one at a time. I wish for a panel that will uproot the causes of GBV, divorces, substance abuse, etc. When you hear a success story from the "horse's mouth," it hits differently. Society is dictating who a black man is. Let's change the narrative 🤔

There's a spiritual reason why old people (over 50) have an understanding with children (under 13). As a mu'ntu, with a spirit, manhood cannot be bought or taught...its lived through life. This man lived and has learnt, which is why the wise always say learning does not stop as long as hunger for truth still exists.
Looking at all the legends uMashabela has spoken with and looking at the men and women of today who are expected to be legends when they reach +50...will we honestly have as many legends of truth as we had from nako tsa apartheid?? Abo Owen Sejake, Reune Chuene, Conny Chuime, Papa G are men annd women who can who represent what purpose of truth stands for. Ask any of these living people if they truthfully see a Man or a Woman when they look at men and women of south africa today.

      1) "Authority by seniority through lineage in clans/family"
      2) "Ngwana ke wa kgomo"
All reasons why and how umu'ntu in this generation are misled by non leaders, these leaders in life (in homes as Fathers; in churches as Prophets & religious guides; in communities as social, political and economical) are chosen and accepted by those without knowledge of TRUTH and without knowledge of LOVE and without knowledge of SELF. These three knowledges are all bound in time and blood, which is family lineage.
We need a whole generation to relearn and reapply what is Manhood and what is Womanhood...look at nature...thlao...inzalo
