One of the best things about Prince (the g.o.a.t. for me and mine) is you could give someone a copy of all the "hits" that got radio play and the kid with all the rest of the songs like this or 17 days or she is always in my hair or screams of passion etc.... THAT second kid would have the better songs..... Prince had literally HUNDREDS of amazing songs. I am thankful I was alive at the same time as this genius prodigy.

You nailed it! His singles and b-side songs were always better than what got mainstream exposure. 17 Days, She’s Always in my Hair, Mountains, Alexis de Paris, Condition of the Heart, etc. My very first concert at age 12 was Prince when he opened for Rick James (Bustin Out tour). I can’t express how blessed I feel to have come of age during Prince’s career.

I read something about this song & it made me feel good. The writer said that Prince wrote this song about Cynthia Rose who was a girl in his girlfriends class in elementary school who was a little different - the writer said she may have been Autistic. That makes me feel special, because I have ASD(Asperger's)

This has always been a favorite Prince song of mine. It's forever and timeless. On this what would be his 65th birthday, it never sounded better. Love you beautiful one💕

during this tour he used to play tape with the prerecorded songs and then played over live with the band.
the version of #StarfishAndCoffee used was probably the same recorded for an aborted project planned for an official release in 1996/1997

I miss him. The world has changed. He knew that the revolution would start in Minneapolis

I still do not know what the lyrics mean and I am 45.5 years old! Geminis and their ebonics or whatever.

Ebonics has absolutely nothing to do with this!!! There is a comment that knows exactly what this song is about and it really is genius!!! I have always looooooved the story behind this beautiful song!!! God Prince you were true prodigy and music master! The creative factor in your brain knew not the word rest!! Love you P forever!!!!!
