Liked seeing Carl back. I think we all felt that late race crash at Homestead. I seriously doubt Carl would race in NASCAR again not out of bitterness, it's a young man's game, he's aware of the change in culture, has enough money, and would have to learn the new tech. Cool hearing and seeing him at the track

Love to see Carl run the srx series for a start. That would surely get a ratings boost and help that series along. I enjoy that Fun format and seeing the competition. would be cool to see him join RFK in 2024. Even for a dozen or so races. They are coming along!

Nascar fans argue over everything and I think having Carl Edward's in the booth is a common ground. I'm happy to see everyone else being happy for his appearance.

Oh how I WISH👍👍♥️♥️ It was beyond GREAT seeing him there today. I don't think he truly realized how many people love and have missed him, even if we had someone else as our favorite driver. I was team Gordon big time but adored Carl too. He just up and left us and hasn't been seen or heard from for so long. He left a LOT of 💔💔. I think and hope he finally realizes it now. Come back Carl♥️👍😁 In some way. Some capacity. Would be great to have you in the booth somewhere all the time. Or on the track somewhere, sometime. Like Newman. Pick your tracks if you want. Just don't stay away. ♥️♥️♥️ Same with Rusty and you Kenny. NASCAR NEEDS you all. Us fans need you all. And the Labonte Bros. This country and world are so crazy and different and we miss the old days and real heroes we had. To have the Petty's together was awesome today too. Seeing all of you, our "old" heroes and idols and icons brings us back great memories but also makes us feel safer and saner . I know it sure does me. THANKS to ALL of you. Iim glad it was classy when Carl did the booth ,the biggest problem I had was not enough cautions to extend his time in the booth ,but Carl deserves his privacy!!
I would love to see Carl back behind the wheel. Dude was a class act on the track, and still is off the track. I think he left because he was this close 🤏🏻 to winning a championship and couldn't take the heartbreak of that loss.
He was a class act on the track, except for the time he tried to kill Brad Keselowski, and when he almost took Jrs arm off during a victory lap.

Justin Mark's said on Dinner With Racers that he visited Carl for the 99 in their first year, the meeting didn't go well but... 2.5 seasons later can change alot.
I still believe Justin Marks reached out to him about racing the 99. Thats when Marks said he called Carl about using the 99...

Well what a headline! Ok, I used to have visions of Carl E cracking his skull doing that backflip. I just know he's going to want to do it if he wins. I just know if he comes back he will win. What I don't know is if he or his career rebound will survive the backflip. Scares me. Love Carl E, always enjoyed the way he drove and how he conducted himself. First rate guy, honest-to-god honest fellow.

I'm totally beside myself! I had no idea he was sailing! However, I would love to see him come back and show some of these kids up! Go Carl!
If he races again it would be on a limited amount of tracks mostly short tracks and probably only after they fully iron out how hard the "Hit's" are on this car. Carl's wife Kate is a Dr. that works in rehabilitation of people with traumatic brain injury. It's fairly well known that the amount of concussions going on when Carl retired and her medical background was a contributing factor to his retirement.

the 99 is owned by Trackhouse. If he came back he said (years ago) it would be with Toyota and JGR. 23XI might be a landing spot if he chooses to try a comeback

@@mikenonya6382 He won last year at Kansas. He’s been up front a lot this year but gets taken out in other peoples wrecks. He is improving but is it fast enough for MJ? His deal is up next year as I recall and I don’t forsee any changes before then.

On his MRN segment he said he’s not ready to be back because he’d have to give 100% and he didn’t want to do that.

Honestly I don't think Carl is coming back. I think that was a tease. He has had offers to drive since leaving racing in 2017, but never took up any of those offers.

I’ve had a void in my heart for NASCAR every since Schrader left. Soon after I filled that void with Carl. Don’t play with me Kenny! Don’t play with my emotions now.
Carl, I truly enjoyed watching him race. s others have said, one class act. Another stepping stone in life as they say. What once was may not return, that's ok. Mindset under the guise of maturity, wisdom, allows us to say, it's ok to be renewed in a diferent light, that of ourselves and of others. Hard to find the excitment, the loyalty, the passion, some of the old school values that made this sport so intense and great, that of true gentleman, Carl is of that core model to which others need to look up to.
It is no longer like the movie, "Shane"........Shane...Shane......come back........
It is now......Carl.......Carl.....Please come back!..........
Cousin Carl needs to run for President. Looks like a Kennedy, farm guy, he would be perfect.
I really miss Carl. He made the races interesting. Not always in the best way, but he was usually doing something noteworthy. I also miss how brutally honest he was. He wasn’t afraid to be honest when he did something he knew people wouldn’t like, and he was also not afraid to poke fun at other people that did something he didn’t like. For example, when he poked fun at Kyle Busch for smashing the guitar at Nashville. I would really love to see him come back.
