I don't think that the creators of this game were exactly pretentious, I think it was made by some really spiritual hippies who just had no understanding of game design.
I mean, with, for example, the Fantastic game you could kind of see the ideas and the mentality behind it, but with this, it just seems so honest and alien, you really have to wonder what kind of "incense" these New Age, crystal magic believing hippies were inhaling.

EJ Gold, the man who was involved in creating the Prosperity Path series, well he...uh...I went down the rabbit hole of Urth Game and I found a Wikipedia article about his work. The article claims EJ Gold is multi-talented, being a musician, graphic artist, chocolatier, etc. (the list is very long, and he STILL hasn't been famous? I smell something fishy). He also started the IDHHF, which appears to be a New Age nonsense organization.
TL;DR: EJ Gold is possibly a scammer. Any more info on this guy out of curiosity?

This little boxer from the Punch-Out!! series makes up in heart what he lacks in height. Under the guidance of his coach Doc Louis, Little Mac took on opponents several times his size on his way to winning the WVBA championship belt! No matter his opponent, Little Mac always puts his best fist forward.
I’m almost positive these games were made by the devs who also made this weird FPS in the 90’s called Exploding Lips. There’s a lot of the same sound effects and “This door is opened elsewhere” is so familiar.

Prosperity Path: Fear. Where women have you by the balls and you have to wander through dungeons with blues music, tables of pizza, prosperity charms and points to fear reduction and intuition.
Somebody played Kentucky Route Zero and said to themselves "Yeah, I can make something like that." They were wrong.
They have two phone numbers listed on their site. Interesting.
Apparently one of the phone numbers is for a bookstore in California that sells spirituality themed books. One of the authors that they list is E.J. Gold, who I recognized from the game page.
Curious, I looked up who did the music and found that E.J. Gold is behind the music too.
So, here's the guy responsible for this:

Apparently he has some degree of game design experience mixed in with spirituality writings.
I keep digging and digging for more information on this man and I get more and more confused by the minute, there's an actual forum for Prosperity Path on facebook that is active up to this day with some of the most confusing content, he even has a youtube channel still active(1300 subs and last upload was 2 days ago) that is filled with how to videos(mostly dealing with jewlery or using truffles to contact spirits or something?) and spiritual nonsense and it's really just a hell of a discovery and bizarre. Is the man crazy or a genius ?
On the facebook forum there's even like recordings of their prayer sessions or read alouds over some game called second life, they speak in both english and spanish, there's also a lot of post that refer to recommendations from E.J. or something, this shit seems like some really freaky cult.. The books that they are reading are the books that E.J has written omg what is this
