- Having been busy during the festive period , The Primemutton attended his first game since the Club World Cup in Jeddah. And what a belter of a game to come back to as Kevin De Bruyne showed City and the rest of the premier league what they've been Missing. From being 2-1 down after 70 minutes , De Bruyne came on to weave 20 minutes of magic to see City take all 3 points in an epic 3-2 victory.

Sorry for the rushed nature of the vlog and the long time taken to upload , my schedule is so manic at the moment . Still a good vlog in my opinion , but I would have liked to have had more time to explore the wonderfully hospitable city of Newcastle a bit more.

Injuries will still be a big factor, I think the effects of the Qatar World Cup are still being felt this season and won’t really go away until the end of this season and a full preseason

Great vid Jason. SJP is a great place to go, the best being our 2-0 there at the end of 2011-12 when Yaya scored those 2 great goals to set up the first premier league title win. Remember going in a pub called the 3 bulls heads and hearing this amazing noise, when we turned round Faustino Asprilla was walking down the stairs of the pub, great memories . Brilliant win this time. How great is KDB? Oscar Bobb showing fantastic composure to net that great winner. Come on City.

Always love your vlogs. I am from Newcastle. It was a great match with some fantastic goals. Walker does seem to struggle against us, but I think Gordon’s goal was fantastic more than a failure of your side. Ultimately you were right with your prediction about us having a weak bench and getting leggy. City worked incredibly hard, held so much position, more shots than the Toon and City deserved the win. KDB absolutely terrific for you and as usual, Pep a genius. Congratulations.

I used to live very close to the train station. 79 Piccadilly. Stunning building. Miss home massively so yeh, I really enjoyed this :)

Great Vlog mate and I love seeing the goals from an away fans perspective. Also good to see so many away fans enjoying our city. We always try to be friendly and welcoming and think that our location in the city centre sets us apart from most other clubs and is a big reason why many fans would never want to leave St James's Park. I hate it when you travel away and they have signs up saying 'Home Fans Only' 👎🏻
As for the match you were far the better team and altho our plan worked to a certain extent first half, most Toon fans knew that once we got to 50-60 mins the game was up as our players were mostly dead on their feet and we had no replacements on the bench. We knew that your subs would probably then exploit our fatigue and lack of out ball. You will win the league again now I'm sure with KDB back in action. What a goal and assist and you captured a great view of these, as well as Isac and Gordons beauties (had to get that in 😊).

Walker's biggest fault is that he forgets to do the basics but here he forgot twice! Pretty criminal that. As a senior player and captain he fell way short in his responsibilities to stop both those attacks and shots on target. You cant see it on this video but Pep showed his dissatisfaction with Walker on the touchline after Gordon's goal went in. He threw up his arms as if to say "What, again?" As an ex defender myself I knew to force the attacker out wide but be ready for him to try and turn you inside. It's all about positioning and timing and Walker failed drastically on both. Did his domestic problems affect him against the Geordies? Maybe, but any more lapses in concentration must surely not be tolerated by the manager.
Yes it’s his pace , and his decent wing play that gets him into the team , but stopping counters is the main reason for him being in the team and it’s exactly what he failed to do . It’s a pity because at the start of his City career there was always “a mistake in him” but he seemed to have cut them out of his game. Let’s hope it’s just a blip
Whilst Walker did struggle with both Newcastle goals, RUBEN DIAS needs to be sharing the blame for the second goal scored by Gordon, he was neither alert enough nor forceful enough in clearing the ball and was mugged by a Newcastle player!!
Walker has been poor all season.

Yes it’s my local team , I can’t say I have supported them through thick and thin for 50 years as there were times when I couldn’t afford a season ticket or to go to games . My first game at Maine Road was in 1976 . I usually ignore such questions , but since you put it so politely I thought I’d answer

Great vlog content as usual. So wasteful with chances in this match. Walker created a goal but cost us two in return. Poor defending from him and I’m not a big fan of him as captain. We certainly need a right back replacement for Walker. So pleased for KDB and Bobb 😊

Isak is fast, defender who can run fast as Isak is only Walker but he failed to defend it's over, second goal from Gordon was mistaken from Foden, he should have tackled the ball from Dan burn causing Gordon scored the second
The two Newcastle goals were world class. More about the quality forwards than poor defending. Shame you saw so little of the Toon. The Comet pub is so boring and unadventurous. You don’t need to worry about being set upon in Newcastle, instead you are more likely to be bought a drink.

I did , I only had one pint and made sure I was at the platform when the incoming train arrived . Would have preferred to have got onto the 8pm but other than a 5 minute stop to buy tinnies I went straight to the train , the timings were horrible as the two transpennine services took a hell of a lot of Newcastle fans as well as all the City fans travelling by train as they were the only services going south apart from one to Doncaster going at a similar time to the last transpennine
Yes the times caused unnecessary chaos. our train was packed as you know but was half empty after Darlington

Another welcome video. Newcastle fan here ...... couldn't complain about the result. Good game. Shame we couldn't match City, but a decent go with the players we have available. Pleased you got to the Strawberry....... look for the Trent House next time, just up from the Strawberry a cracking welcoming pub.

Great video as always. No complaints about the result really, we sat back far too much in the second half and got what we deserved in the end.
Regarding Zapatista, it’s usually spot on so you may have just got a tad unlucky there. The one near Central Station isn’t the original location, try the one near Haymarket if you can next time, it’s usually far better for some reason. Would also recommend the Town Wall pub on your next visit, brilliant ale choice.

Very entertaining vlog 'Mutton', as always , and a great three points for City, although we did look to be somewhat up against it at half time.
Even though Rodri eventually settled down to have a really influential game, i would give our Man of the Match award to KDB, purely because he changed our position from a losing one to a winning one, albeit with a little help from Oscar Bobb, Bobb, Bobb!
But every goal in that game was absolute quality ..... and yes, even though Walkers positional sense and marking was definitely questionable, Ruben Dias should also hold his hands up, because he got his pocket picked by Newcastle for their 2nd goal, when he dallied too long trying to clear the ball.
But yes, yet another superb vlog from your good self, well done mate!

I flew from Cork to Newcastle a few years ago for an Iron Maiden show, and went to the Victoria Commet because they word got out that they had Maiden's Trooper Beer on cask. Which they did! Have you tried it? Great pub BTW, very handy for the train station.

Great Match, Pints and Food analysis. In regards to the Zaptista Burrito Bar, I haven't been to the one you went to but there's a larger one more in town that does superd and very priced burritos / naked bowls. Haven't tried their tacos but might need to give it a go to see.
It was a pity that the meat was so dry , and maybe I caught a bad day . I still remember how much I enjoyed the place on a previous visit , but I think if large batches of meat are made and kept under hot lights , it’s bound to be dry unless there’s a decent turnover of food .
