- It's been six days since Lucio, old Dimas, and the other men from Cotabambas left their village and began camping at an altitude of 5,000 meters in the Peruvian Puna. Once a year, the villagers task them with capturing the legendary bird, the sacred messenger of the gods, to perpetuate the ancient rite of Yawar. The condor is tied to a bull to recall the powerful, mythological Incan creature that resembled a winged bull. The next day, the condor resumes its flight towards the high plateau, free once again to join the gods of the heavens.

I am not sure Pachamama is happy about this animal cruelty... 23:50, the condor is wounded...
Did Condor have any psychological shadow after the festival he spent in the village? After freedom, will people feel hatred when they see them or will their next generation attack people
turning Condorito into an alcoholic
Quedó Plop!
Ho hoi, very nice❤
oh no,i waz about to watch
Umm ... I was wondering how they catch the condor without a trap. After rewinding and listening carefully the condo is a glider and once it lands in the crater it finds it difficult to fly up.
And they are HUGE birds! With a wingspan reaching up to 3.3 meters, only the Albatross surpasses the Andean Condor in size!
So many different & unique traditions the world over...thank you for sharing!!♥ Although I don't agree with any living being being sacrificed, I do understand that all people have different traditions.
Nothing was sacrificed, though.

@@WILD__THINGSThe horse was used for bait.
Wow just Wow😮 Kill a horse to capture a Condor to celebrate for a few days! Wild!!
only humans would invent some mischief like this, such sad useless traditions based on superstition
That's animal cruelty. Hope they no longer practice it.
Condors are on the endangered list. I am surprised the bull didn't gore the poor bird. Cruel.
They need to realize that letting the bird go is better than
EATING IT ❓
and the next day the condor comes back to drink more alcohol
