The "Instant Kodiaq mini-camper" is a DIY-project to turn a Skoda Kodiaq (5 seats) into a luxurious mini-camper for 2 persons in 10 minutes.
The car is used in daily live so the camper drawer elements can be removed from the car.
This concept is perfect for road tripping.

I really like the way you made easy access to the spare tire, without having to remove the entire galley.

Did you design this setup or buy a kit. Are Diagrams & Measurements available? Great setup with brilliant functionality.
I am sorry. I did the design myself. There are no diagrams or drawings. It is a special design for the Kodiaq (5 pers) only.

Simply silly! I Drove around Australia in a Holden STW using a mattress in the back. Had some boxes to store things and they could easily be moved to the front seat in order to get room for sleeping in the car.

What is the floor unit with the extending arm called and where did you get it?
It is a self-constructed aluminium frame with 2 telescopic rails (type DEF-D size 43 from the company Rollon)
Can't afford a belt to hold up his trousers!

Way too much work for nothing. all you need is a basic bed for the SUV, and throw that other stuff in the back and unload it in 2 minutes into your tent. Boom done.
I have a bed in back of my SUV, and a pull out table under it. Then on the side is any camping gear.
Agree. This fit out is way too over engineered and looks expensive.
Agreed. Too much mucking around, packing in and out, and that's ONCE you've made the whole thing. I'm more of a throw in a mattress, cooking gear and cooler kind of girl. Plus, if you have every appliance under the sun, you may as well stay at home!

rubbish too much wasted space all for lazy luxury be more practical use the space for useful the big mattress is not really needed minimise & get more simple fun you will be surprised
less is really more in practice more fun less stress less work setting up & loading up try designing your own setup a simple one
