Every time I change a preset, the volume defaults to a high setting. Is there a way to set the volume once and have it stay while trying different presets?
I believe the problem you are experiencing is how loud the volume is when you save the preset. If it is set too high, this can be rectified by adjusting it while in that preset, when the light flashes, that means something in the setting has changed. To save what you have done, just hold the button or on your phone , go to the upper right, click, and select save as preset to device. I hope that fix works for you

Frustration is building, I’ve recommended this amp to many of my musician friends, I even gifted one, and now this problem, has me feeling stupid for referring this amp.
What is wrong with this guy?!?!?! He chose Dave instead of Sharon?!?!?!?!?!?
The looping of tracks is not as seamless as advertised. There is a pause before it repeats. You literally see the app pause and play again before the next cycle. Makes the looper a useless and frustrating feature. If the loop would be seamless this is a killer feature
It is interesting until it breaks! Now only works as a boom box, but it doesnt sound good. Waste of money. Ton of people with the same issue
Backing tracks are for l*sers.
Too bad the drummers only know 4/4.
that is a great riff like led zeppelin meets aerosmith make it a lesson pleeeaaseee
Too much distortion right off the bat. No thanks.
