I know he did so well for Lanvin Haute couture , those 2 bless years , but no wonder he went under , this is so 90' fashion...fashion...fashion comes and goes ....if it's not style , you're out of fashion quickly and that's what happen to Montana unfortunately , he did not , would not do anything else but what worked in the 80' 90 ' by the 2000 he was out , you watch a YSL couture 90'...up to 2002 when he retired ...it was not fashion , he was doing style , style , style and when you watch his runways from those years the Yves Saint Laurent Couture hasn't taken a wrinkle , not one , and now the name of Montana is vaguely there ..... when he was doing Lanvin and had the number one fragrance male and female...on top...but "the wify thing " Wallis Franken did not do well ("falling" from the first floor of rue de Lille )... we all knew , .......anyway kinda sad what became of his brand , dear Claude ...
His designs were so far ahead of their time. Unlike his contemporaries, none of the designs here look dated or old-fashioned. Chanel, YSL, Dior, Givenchy...all those brands were still stuck in the 80s at this point.

Montana's designs do not date themselves. You could wear many of these today. Awesome!
