Deep in nature, emotion, sound, feeling and in name. A masterpiece of glamour, sophistication and high quality compositions of the 1970s. Worthy of classical disco status. Enriched piece of music to be cherished posthumously.
OMG!!!!!! I remember being young and hearing this song. I really liked this version. It stuck in my head. When I found it here and listened to it, I couldn't stop smiling, bouncing!! Thanks!!!!!

loved this movie when it was screened in 1978, liked Robert Shaw and the fight scene between Robert Tassier and Earl Maynard, sorry to hear that Tassier passed away some years ago
John's music can take you back in an instant loved his themes from being a young girl makes you long to go back sadly we can't but his music does this never tired of listening

Brilliant score, and not at all, as one comment suggests, "very Bond like". In fact, that's an insult, suggesting Barry was a one-trick pony. Indeed, this actually demonstrates the diversity of his canon.
Hermoso, siempre la música o algunos temas en específico nos hacen transportarnos a distintas épocas, este tema sonaba mucho cuando estuve cursando el segundo año de primaria, ahora lo escucho y me sigue encantado hacerlo.
This song is from a bygone and best forgotten era: Farrah Facet and Dorthy Hamill hair styles, mood-rings, 8-tack tapes, pet rocks. Plastic suits with wide lapels and unbuttoned shirts, exhibiting enough golden chains on "hairy chests" to anchor a battleship, danced beneath huge spinning glitter balls. It was a time when disco ruled the air waves, and Gremlins roamed free on the nation's interstates, while "Hippies" evolved (or devolved) into "Yuppies." I know ... me and my bell-bottomed jeans somehow lived through it.
@ilovecollecting But for thirty-odd years I've been wondering which came first: The John Barry disco-inflected instrumental or the lascivious Donna Summer disco song? Did he adapt her song or was it the other way around?
Back in the day when I listened to the radio for a couple of hours and could say that ten songs were my favorite. Good-bye good ole days.
What memories. I saw this Movie when I was living in Osaka, Japan in 1977...such a beautiful soundtrack.
Simply takes my breath away...for decades...Yes pure genius and art. Quality...

Heck yea! The Carter Years!
We still love you President Carter
Always pleasant to listen to this piece.
I never tire of this piece of music. I loved the Donna Summer version too. John Barry is a genius.
The late Diva's version of the song was awesome.
The man had a soul! If it's in the music, it's in the man. Love that I got to be around for this.
funky guitar on the background, strange rigid drumms, fullblown ochestral arrangements... I love this seventies sound!
Yes it is very catchy, I love both versions instrumental and Donna summers vocal. a beatiful but obscure song
You are right since I did not know that the late Diva recorded the song. I even wrote letters to her stating that.
this my ring tone on my phone I take a long time to answer calls
....from those unbelievable days, where music was actually played and made for the listeners...bless J Barry
His music is glorious and exhilarating!
"Born Free" was just a tasting. This is amazing.
