Hey you, little pro tip: When you hit buttons and they "fail," and enemies spawn, they only spawn in front of doors. So if an enemy spawns at a wall, there's a secret room entrance there!
I have an Isaac challange: be a good parent. You have to keep 2 lost souls alive till mega satan or else you have to restart they are not allowed to die once not one of them
That beginning clip. Whenever I am the lost and lose my mantle, as soon as the room is cleared, before I do anything else in the room, I leave the room and re-enter to get my mantle back. Even if there seems to be nothing in the room that would damage me I ALWAYS do this. You can never be too safe
I feel like normal Azazel is a good beginner character, especially for stopping new players from quitting the game as they can still get some wins. The lack of synergy eventually pushes you away from him though as you get better at the game, as honestly those synergies are why we keep playing it for hundreds of hours, but I think that that's a good thing. As for tainted Azazel, he's interesting but, honestly, as soon as I completed his chart I stopped playing him. He has a gimmick and runs with it, but that gimmick is still too limiting. Brimstone is strong, but boring. I hope Ed fixes that eventually.

Azazels sneeze lasts long enough that you don't need to re apply it a lot of the time. Also, enemies will take a set amount of damage regardless of damage Stat unless they're marked with the sneeze. The sneeze ALWAYS uses the damage Stat, but the brim laser doesn't until you sneeze on an enemy. Moral of the story: sneeze > brim
the reason for all the runes on the floor is because fruit cake can imitate book of virtues wisp tear effects in repentance, the clear rune wisp tears specifically have a chance to drop runes

His stubby brimstone beam's short range makes it really easy for me to run into enemies and take contact damage, especially at capped speed. But the Benighted is awesome. His sneeze is so snappy and responsive, and it's extremely satisfying to blow up a whole room of flies with one sneeze and a brimstone beam.

It is because of fruit cake, I don't know which tear makes it to spawn pickups but it's pretty powerful, that's why fruit cake is my favorite item, I love it
It would be funny if a mod was made that let us play as Lavencas and you start with lost soul, similar to how the Sinvicta mod has you start with Sissy Longlegs
the reason you see a drop in subscriber engagement is not for the reason of people not getting notifications. Nobody will watch an isaac playthrough every day, even people that really like it and sub. You're going to see a probably pretty substantial percentage of people that frankly just "tune out". (while staying subbed)
If im correct, Fruit Cake can also spawn runes, maybe cards too. Rapid soy milk brimstone spawns a bunch of them. Part way through Dross you can also see a medium shit enemy get sneezed, split, and one of the two small shits gets thrown away and dies instantly, dropping a rune.
I’m somewhat new to the game, and I’m just wondering why would you go to dross/downpour after the first floor boss instead of after the second floor boss? Is there like some extra stuff you can get in dross/downpour 1 compared to normal basement 2 and such? I just feel that going there has the harder enemies and especially bosses, so going there earlier doesn’t really seem worth it…
lost of synergys do nothing with normal azazel unless you get proptosis in witch case you will just 1 shot everything cuz its just a flat out 3x with no downsides

He’s like that one annoying side character that you have to get when you play a game, but the rewards are necessary
He should be the channel mascot, if he appears, lavencas is guaranteed to win the run probably

Lavencas should be forced to pick up Lost Soul every time they encounter it, regardless of circumstances

i accidentally made an op synergy with azazel and eye of the occult when i started playing and that got me hooked into th egame

Product of playing too aggressive, he’s a good beginner character though. Tiny Planet and Eye of Occult are def his best items.

You can get two items in the treasure room. One is revealed but the other one is blind
Also you can get an extra boss room item if you do the mirror thing
