AND the time machine mod (the one that makes the beggar donations go faster). AND the unintrustive pause menu mod.
This is one of my most satisfying tainted jacob runs to date... Ok ignore everything past this point, while I'm SUPER late for this upload... I also wanna shove as many funny item names as possible in here; plus nobody will read it anyways: Early bird's eye and brimstone have such HUGE c section tech x POTENTIAL (even though it's not as good as ghost pepper), although a bit of a change of plans involving sacred heart and a missed opportunity of rerolling items with the d6 made this run a bit more dangerous than it should have been, not to mention holy light's synergy with perfection's 10+ luck which just ended up melting everything I came in contact with. With so many soy milk angel rooms and the combination of godhead and proptosis, including the ipecac (dunce cap) I was basically guaranteed to find sacred heart, crown of light, and many other OP items that made this run a free monstro's lung win featuring edmund mcmillen (who also created super meat boy)... And I'm totally not mentioning these items in the description just for keywords or anything, why would I ever do that? This paragraph is also ABSOLUTELY not copied from another one of my videos but with certain words changed to make sense in the context of this video, that would just be silly. Wow, did you really read all of that? I'm proud of you.
Ok since nobody's gonna read this... I can say that I'm 100% changing my YT username to just "Laven" for 2 reasons:
1. I hate how people mispronounce lavencas, it's supposed to be just like "Lavender Castle" if you remove the extra letters, but a ton of people put emphasis on the VEN which sounds extremely weird to me and annoys me to no end
2. Some of you also seem to think the L is an i but WHYYYYYYY
I was thinking of rebranding to a different name entirely, but that's too much effort and a lot of people would be confused so yeah. Also fun fact the name lavencas was kind of a placeholder until I thought of something that sounded better, but my channel exploded way faster than I would've ever imagined and by that point it was too late...

day 1 of trying to calculate damage whenever lavencas asks to
haemolacria splits into roughly 4 beams of brimstone, each one doing 9 ticks of damage. two mutant spiders adds 6 tears and conjoined is another 2 for a total of 8 tears. 8*9*4=288. multiply by another 2 for parasite for 576 ticks per one shot. add 98.99 base damage to x4 for apple gives 395.96. 576 ticks multiplied by 395.96 damage is about 228072.96 damage every time isaac shoots. plus it looks cool
I've seen now a lot of your videos, but I can't recall a more powerful item combo, to the point of literally melting Delirium in record time

well uhhhh I decided to waste those few minutes of my life and I calculated that shooting only your 8 haemolacra shots without any splited it goes to: 2 375,76 dmg. Truly an devastating number.
now, add the damage multiplier and the brimstone w/ conjoined

At 5:59 you could've rerolled Capricorn down to Libra which has an insane synergy with Rock Bottom (It gives you a ton of free stats alongside the ones you receive by picking up items)

@@Filthyyyyyyy the spindown dice rerolls by putting -1 in the item ID, so if blood bag is 195, it rerolls to brimstone which is 194 (I made the numbers up, but you get the point)
the D6 rerolls to a random item so the mod can't predict what it'll be

Honest thoughts on the idea of the gimmick items being pocket actives; I really don't think it'd be particularly game-breaking. Giving more characters something that's always theirs, that they'll never lose, and that can be used in conjunction with other actives would just be fun. Hell, I'm still convinced Tainted Samson's Berserk should be a pocket active rather than a passive.
Iirc his was the first made in the development of pocket actives but it was taken away since Ed and Kil thought that it would be boring for it to be under control and they thought players would only use it on bosses. Ill link a vid that I think talks about this from the Discord AMA that Kil did.

thats 11 different hemo tears, that at max potential shoots out into 7 beams! 11x7 is 77 AND THATS STILL NOT ALL
since brimstone splits into 3 beams, thats 77x3

231 DIFFERENT BRIMSTONE SHOTS AT ONCE
231x1597.32614781=368982.340144 dps per shot.
BUT YET ITS STILL NOT ALL! if you fire out as much as possible, thats 368982.340144x2.16=797001.854711
since the game rounds to nearest hundreth (i think) thats 797001.85 dps per second at max potential.
theres alot of other things to take into account but i dont feel like wasting my life doing this, i've already wasted around 30 minutes just on this alone lol
also i dont know if this math validates but yeah, i did actually have fun calculating this.

Can’t count how much damage overall , but each brimstone shot dealt 3.564 damage . And there may be around 80 brimstone shots for each 7 Haemolaecria tears.
Just a quick question: is there a mod that lets you increase the amount of memory used by the game? That might help prevent crashes
this would prevent crashes only if they are caused by running out of memory, if the crash is cased by a code error that don't end well, or some combination of items that the game can't resolve in the code due to lack of proper instructions it will not fix all crashes.

imo void is kind of a bad item. but if it was a pocket active itd be super op
the issue with void is that its active item gimmick isnt actually that good and its passive item gimmick is usually outclassed by just rerolling the item
but if it was a pocket active then itd be like making the d6 into a pocket active itd be an easy get-out-of-bad-itemville-free card
"Try calculating my damage now lol" I mean, I can work it out if I get a few more details. You had two quad shots, right? Plus conjoined and book worm? So that's ten shots, with a chance for an eleventh? Okay, not too bad so far. To make it easier on myself, I'll just do the math for ten shots. So, you fire ten shots, which each shoot out 4-6 brimstone lasers, which bounce off the wall and split into two. Do you have anything else that changes how many tears you fire? Any 20/20, inner eye, or in this case objects like rubber cement? Or do I just need to multiply your damage stat by fifty (number of lasers post-hemolacria), then by seven (number of times brimstone hits), then double it (for the parasite split) and add your damage times ten (the hemolacria shots themselves) for maximum possible damage in a single press of the button? because (98.99×59)+(98.99×10) is a shockingly easy problem, with a result of 6,830.31 damage per shot. With a 2.16 fire rate, that leaves you with, if you held down the fire button for one second and then let go, 14,753 47 damage. Assuming nothing else is going on that effects your damage, anyway.
Edit: This is ignoring toxic shock, common cold, the razor apple I can never remember the name of, and your flies, because I don't know how toxic shock's damage works, or how poison works, and I'm not sure how much luck determines how often you fire your double damage razor blade tears. I also entirely forgot about flies. They have a 50% chance to spawn per hit, but do double your damage stat, meaning they essentially multiply your damage by 1.5×, meaning if you ignore the other three things your new dps is sitting at 22,130.44
Okay, just looked up how common cold and poison work, meaning I have to multiply the previous number by three. At 12 luck, common cold has a 100% chance to proc, which means each hit also does double your damage, essentially multiplying your dps by three. Toxic shock does the same when you enter a room, but only goes off of your damage stat, and is negligible. Apple, however, has a 100% chance to proc at 14 luck, essentially multiplying your dps by four, however these are done additionally, as opposed to multiplicatively. This means that with common cold and apple, at 14 luck, your damage is essentially multiplied by seven, not by four then by three (twelve). So, to include those, we multiply your dps without those, or your flies, 14,753.47, by seven, then add on half of the fourteen thousand, on order to represent your fly damage. Then, we take that number and add double your damage stat to add the damage from toxic shock to get a maximum possible damage, if you walk into a room while holding the fire button and let go after exactly one second, of 110,849.002
That's right, one hundred ten thousand, eight hundred forty-nine damage

I was playing afterbirth+ the other day(cuz i felt like taking a break from repentance) and first floor on my fifth run i got angel deal godhead(joker card) and magic mush from blowing up a mushroom, sometimes i feel like afterbirth+ is better
🤓 Idid the math. while fighting delirium, you did about 2,880,911.9094 - 5,281,671.8339 Damage (Amount depending on how much tears the big haemolacria tear drops) I forgot to calculate the brimstone ticks and also forgot to calculate the damage from the first huge haemolacria tear lol

I feel like the void absolutely should be a pocket active, Apollyon is one of the least played characters even though k feel like it's very unique, or make it that if it's your pocket active make the charge longer
