    I love this video. White text on a black screen. No background music. Lao text larger than romanized text. The Lao font you used is beautiful. Clear pronunciation. ຂອບໃຈ !

      I forgot the two things I love most about this video: it's short and the words really are common.

    I am not really sure, but someone were talking and said a word and I would like the meaning but I have no idea how to express it . It sounds like (Janteh) , (gnante) on the second word (gn) sounds like letter (ñ) in spanish or gn (lasaGNa) in italian. but I am not really sure. Does anyone knows or recall a produnciation like that?

    doesn’t suu mean buy? my grandma always says koo see suu and doesn’t boo pen yung mean what’s wrong?

    • @gloomytwoshoes
      @gloomytwoshoes 4 года назад

      it depends on how you say suu. like higher notes and lower notes that reminds me of singing. suu yes means buy or purchase but it can mean other things

    • @Mint_Magnet
      @Mint_Magnet 4 года назад

      Hi! Different tones give each word its meaning. So the ‘suu’ you are referring to is generally (and I say generally because tones may differ among dialects) spoken with a mid tone which means ‘buy’ or ‘purchase’. When ‘suu’ is spoken with a low tone, its meaning changes to ‘name’. “Bo pen nyang” can be an informal or casual way to say “you’re welcome” i.e. ‘no problem’, ‘it’s no big deal’, ‘don’t mention it’, etcetera. “Bo pen nyang” also means “nothing’s wrong (with me),” or “I’m fine” in response to being asked “pen nyang?” (What’s wrong?/What’s the matter?” The word ‘bo’ is a negation when it’s at the beginning of a phrase but renders a phrase into a question when it’s at the end. Yak pai dten bo? (Wanna go dancing?). Bo yak pai. (I don’t wanna go). Saap bo? (Is it delicious?). Bo saap. (It’s not delicious). 😊

      Marcella Savatdy lmbo same!

    • @mixedup949
      @mixedup949 4 года назад +1

      I suspect that it’s because of the BIC brand of pens being so common. It’s like in English, we tend to ask for a Kleenex when we want facial tissue in general even if it’s not that particular brand.
