This'll sound like some wild fanfiction but i opened my first pikachu ex as you were talking about it. I'll start watching your vids as im opening boosters from now on.
I think you could do an entire 20 minute episode on how wild the coin flip mechanic is. I have lost so many times due to a good Misty, but I have never gotten a heads using the same card 😅
I had a lot of fun making a list of the 16 ex cards and checking them off as you mentioned them. I’d love a video where you talk about the 6 that weren’t good enough to make the top 10. Entertaining video!
Exeggutor is just a better Kanghaskan, it requires less coinflips, has guaranteed damage on failed conflips and is unkillable on the early game, even a quick Blaine won't kill it and Erika can negate Blaine, it is definetely slept on.
I guess it fears fire too much, but Exeggutor is mostly a support and not a primary wincon, and it is getting 2HKOd by meta relevant threats like Starmie, Pikachu or Charizard.
One memory I have with Zapdos EX was when I was against a Mewtwo EX deck. My only choice was to build up to Zapdos's Thundering Hurricane while I looked for Pikachu EX. I somehow got FOUR heads, which completely turned the game around
I know the current meta of pocket. It's clear the 2 best EX are Pikachu and Moltres, followed by Charizard, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Arcanine, Starmie and... Idk the other 3. You went Marowak, Exeggutor, Wigglytuff and Articuno, while dismissing Arcanine, probably due to the abundance of starmie. Ps: Someone forgot Venusaur EX. 190 > 90 x 2 after all and it even heals itself. Not relevant though due to awful fire and electric matchup.
4:06 yeah it feels really bad when you land two tails, but the math is overall pretty good on marowak. It’s the same math as dual ball. That is to say, there’s a 75% chance of a positive outcome. 2 energy for 80 damage with 1 heads is pretty decent, even if pikachu ex wasn’t everywhere. You’re not knocking pikachu out without flipping two heads anyway. The main problem is that fighting doesn’t have a whole lot of tools atm :/
Probably because unlike Marowak (with some luck), Machamp loses to the three best decks in the format. It’s too slow to threaten Pikachu/Starmie as long as they open decent hands, and gets dumpstered by Mewtwo.
Kinda funny to pick top 10 when there are only 15 EX in game in total (16 counting promo lapras EX which is unavailable for many late players) and right before introduction of an additional pack with several new EX Pokémon))
Right now yes, but this is also the first card pack available and more will be coming soon. Gen 2 is believed to be starting in late January I believe, so expect to see a lot of Gen 2 EXs there
Starmie is statistically worse than Pika and Mewtwo. Electric decks don’t need acceleration outside of Surge -> Raichu for OHKOs in the mirror and Mewtwo is more consistent because it’s a basic. I don’t think Starmie individually is as strong as either of them but Misty existing makes Starmie and Articuno significantly better than they would be otherwise
Pokemon Pocket as of now to me is just pure luck. Whether you can draw your pot of greed early or at all just determines who has the upper hand. Too much coin flip to make a cohesive strategy. Also some of the cards clearly don't work with the randomness of multiple energy decks. Good luck playing 1 stage 2 pokemon let alone more since you would be stuck with no basic pokemon to evolve from or not finding stage 1 AND stage 2 fast enough. Wanted something fun to play but if going second is 10 times better than going first I don't think its a good card game
The coin flips in this game likely are not 50% for non-paid players. This makes Moltres' energy acceleration very unreliable for fire decks. Arcanine ex functions better without Moltres and instead I prefer Rapidash as a first in line attacker while setting up Arcanine.
I was waiting for you to start making TCG Pocket videos :D
I literally thought earlier today: "Dexlogs should make a TCG Pocket video" 😂
I swear to SpongeBob - I did too
I was waiting for a tcg pocket vid 🎉
Good branch out. Even if this one doesn’t hit right away there’s an audience if you had fun doing it

@@34Nor when he was talking about misty im like yea….
I'm sitting at a solid 6 heads / 114 tails ratio rn
I've scooped at least once against the EX-Lapras event deck because it got 3 energy off of Play First Misty.

the 3 retreat cost is kind of brutal i think which keeps it from being super mega broken
I was just hoping you would upload a tcg pocket video
Oh yeah we been waiting for this one

My luck with coinflips in this game is ass, therefore I hate moltres EX and especially misty.
I have no idea about anything TCG, i just like watching these videos.

Bro there's gonna be so much content for u in the upcoming months, if this takes off 😊
9:52 What did you just call it-

When I first picked the game up, the first article I found online said to run a deck with 2 Articuno EX and 18 Trainers and hope you draw Misty.
That sounds like a repeat of the Mulligan Mewtwo deck.
Exeggutor ex is probably the best EX in the game, only held back by grass being weak right now
DCE would go crazy in this game
No love for my boy Machamp, he's unstoppable once going
hard to get him going though

This list is fax but for the next TCG pocket the top 10 any strongest types in the game
Sweet! PTCGP!
Hell yeah! I was waiting for these videos, even if I knew from first hand experience just how obnoxious some of these are...
Fuck yeah Wigglytuff

subbed to this channel for a long time, I can finally say I actively follow the content of the video.
Okay
Yeah. That's mainly how I expected this list to go.
Please talk about the fairy type.
Yay he's back 😭😭
More please 😁
Is there really only kanonian ex pokemon at this time?
Right now yes, but this is also the first card pack available and more will be coming soon.
Gen 2 is believed to be starting in late January I believe, so expect to see a lot of Gen 2 EXs there
I’m glad that people seem to universally agree that Gengar ex is ass
Ive been using pikachu and raichu with magneton support. Tbolt spam is intimidating as fuck.
Plz make more pocket videos
Sad, I thought nostalgia Pokémom EX... 😅 not newer ex cards. Oops, I need to keep up to date with current meta these days!
No way he said Zebra strike
Curious to see if this list would change with the new Mythical Island set
I wouldn't be surprised if the set completely flipped the metagame.
Arent there only like 10 cards to begin with
Doesn’t 2HKO venausaur
if starmie isn’t number 1 i’m crashing out
water type decks in general are extremely broken bc it’s the only type with energy acceleration (other than brock but onyx and golem are horrible)
list is honestly good if you just bump starmie up to 1 or 2

@@UnuUO i factor in the existence of misty personally but the 0 retreat cost is soooo good
Huh. They have no resistances.
I noticed that.
Instead, Cloyster and Melmetal have passives where they just take less from everything.
I think it's a bit too early to do something like this, the card pool is so small right now lol

Mewtwo should be 1
Glaze
Venasaur Ex has 190hp. Starmie Ex does not 2 shot every ex currently in the game.
Needs Greninja support for it to 2 shot it
Greninja has an ability for a reason
Ninetails is better
I used a Ninetales and Rapidash deck to grind the recent Venusaur event
This list is certainly one of your more…. Interesting ones man
Always glad to see a new vid, but couldn’t this have waited until the next main box? Lol
