There is no doubt Sidney is an outstandig runner as she show It in the final in Paris. But why Bol was so far from her best mark that could had put her in the second place. The extra race , the mix relay could have been the reason.

Yes I expected the final to be closer between the two but I believe Femke Bol tried to keep up with Sydney early in the race because she so badly wanted to beat her and didn't run her own race which would have secured her the silver medal. That's why she tired so badly in the end which she never had done before.

So yeah, Bol will be close alright. She will even LEAD.. And then it is up to McLaughlin to try and outrun a Femke Bol in super shape (who just destroyed your American hopefulls) on the last 100m. Good luck with that!
