I stumbled onto your channel a few months ago and i cannot belive that you have so few subs. You guys are my go to channel for great facts about gear. Way to go guys👌
I’ve had both and I can say that the actual feel of the 4 may be better but the weight and release of the 5 make it my favorite Edit: my opinion at that point was clouded by the fact that the stick was new. Trigger 5 Pro in my opinion is not good
I just got this stick and I absolutely love it, I have always been a huge fan of ccm sticks I have had all of the three lines and love this line the most definitely get it
i have the trigger 5 and i agree with this. it'll take a bit to get used to, i hated how light it was at first and had to switch back to my 4 midgame a couple times during my travel games just cause the 5 was messing with my shot and feel for the puck way too much
I’m so confused what is he talking about I have trigger 4 and 5 and he says when you take a clap ur hand moves. First off I don’t know who takes a slap shot with their hand that low on the stick and the concave side is as deep as it is on the trigger 4 so Idk what he’s talking about
Been using the trigger 4 for a year, went into the store and noti9the same thing with the shaft, the trigger 4 is a great stick, if you have the money and go for the 5 then great, but the 4 is a bit cheaper and I'm sticking with it this year still.
Can you make a video on trigger 5 vs. trigger 5 pro I'm deciding which stick to get and I don't know if I want to spend the extra money on the pro when the trigger 5 is just as good
I got a pro stock trigger 5 pro, best stick i’ve ever used. A bit stiff for me since it’s an 85 flex and i prefer 80 but i do still prefer it over my newest super tacks.
Can you do a video talking about the super tacks as3? I'm thinking about getting it and would like to see a review from you first, also would be nice to compare it the as3 pro to say the as3 and cheaper versions. Thanks!
We'll be dedicating a series to the models of sticks below the top spec. We should be back on the ice this week filming this. Super Tacks, Ribcor, Nexus and Supreme all coming!
Max Deane ok here’s the thing. the 4 i feel like i have a better feel for the puck and can stick handle and control the puck a lot better. the 5 is super light so it took me a little longer to get used to it, my shot is insane with the 5 tho just takes awhile to adjust if ur really used to the 4. it’s been a couple weeks now practicing with the 5 and my shot is definitley a lot better it’s just stickhandling that took me a little longer to get used to due to the weight difference. if you rlly want it and don’t mind a small adjustment period (at least for me i needed to adjust) go for the trigger 5
Does anyone know when the new Bauer Vapor stick is coming out?? I need to get a new stick but I don’t know if I wait till the new one comes out or just buy the flylight again.
Summer 2021 for the Vapor Line and also I would recommend you to buy 1 FlyLite and when the new stick in 2021 comes out you could probably get the FlyLite as your backup and spend $300 just on a backup stick.
I work at a hockey store, (pro hockey life) in the stick department and I train the staff about the new products so I have an understanding of these two sticks, the only new "tech" is the nanolite layering; what that means is that they have found a "new way" of weaving and compressing the carbon fiber to use less walls while not decreasing the durability, but reducing the weight. What I can tell you is that in the few weeks since they have come out we have had to warranty a number of them cause; guess what, when you remove the walls you decrease your durability because its the same stick. This is nothing new Bauer has pulled this same "magic trick" with their vapor's in the past.
@@maxdeane6995 to start the trick with a low kick stick; doesn't matter what brand but is to grab a little lower and be ready for the recoil, now mid kicks will give you a harder slap shot and the square shafts that tend to be on mids is better for energy transfers while the low kicks rounder shafts is better for stick handling and to answer you other question so far yes we are seeing more trigger 5 coming back when compared to the first few weeks of the trigger 4
If you like the grooves in the shaft and the feel/grip they provide, you'll love this stick. We didn't feel the need to add another player because Tommy is a big Trigger 4 Pro user and advocate. It makes sense to see what changes he felt from the previous gen.
I noticed the tape on the one stick is a bit lighter... I like this look more for black tape, can someone confirm, is it just the wax that adds that lighter appearance to the black tape? Thanks
This guy on the ice has zero idea what he’s talking about. I’ve had both the trigger 4 and 5 and the shaft is the exact same. I would notice if it wasn’t as I care about every little feel on my stick. Don’t listen to this guy. The trigger 5 is better as it is lighter and has all the great features of the trigger 4.
@@maxdeane6995 It could cause of how light it is so it’s recommended you go up in flex so there is less of a chance it will break and so it won’t be too Whippy. I got it and I use a 75 flex and I tried it in a 75 and an 85 flex and I would say you should definitely go up in flex but it’s all about personal opinion.
I like how he isn't biased saying that the 5 is better. I like that he has some criticism of the newer stick. Great video

Welcome aboard!
Who else hates it when someone wont rip off the sticker in the shaft in ccm sticks
Who else wonders why the manufacturers still put them there :(
The sticker makes it look sexy
Bauer has 2 smaller stickers under the shaft too, but they aren't that visible
All ADVs comparison if you can’t get the Vapor ADV just do the Supreme and Nexus ADV
Only if we get enough requests
Hockey Tutorial please do
I can tell you the Vapor ADV isn’t the most impressive out of all the ADV sticks (personal experience). Nexus and Supreme would make a better video
@@jakegreene525 Ik even though they sold out it wasn’t that good

Is the beyond the boards podcast coming back? I really enjoyed listening to the episodes at work.
Please do a comparison between a cheap hockey stick a intermediate price hockey stick and a expensive one 👍🏻
We're working on featuring models below the top spec. Give us a couple week.

Do Bauer vapor vs ccm trigger line
ive heard that the 5 is just about too light for it to actually be enjoyable, like you cant really find the puck because you cant feel the stick

nexus adv please, personally love mine I just want to hear what you guys think of it
I never had the four but I think the 5 is probably better it feels great
I’ve been thinking about getting one. I felt it in stores and loved it. Should I get one?

So for a player often taking slap shots would the trigger 4 be better?
Do you think the trigger 4 breaks less than the 5?

It's a team tracksuit. I give him crap for it all the time. Nothing he can do.
So what im understanding is go buy a trigger 4 pro
Nice
Don’t take a slap shot with the 5, broke on the third ice time ona a slap shot right In the heel of the blade
Think low kick points break more on slap shots? Or have the potential to snap more?0
Someone please tell him the groves weren’t made just to put your fingers into

Trigger 5 breaks so easy tho
