Theyre made for them. Im very happy to find out all these things about Emeril. What a great humanitarian and what a great cook. 12 restaurants! Thats why he lives on Park Avenue. Good for him. He deserves all the good things that have come his way. My respect for him has grown tremendously, thanks to this video.
January 2018....A television producer for one of Emeril Lagasse's cooking shows is fighting a subpoena to turn over financial records to the Florida House of Representatives. Lawmakers are asking for years of records detailing how the show "Emeril's Florida" spent millions of dollars it received from the state's tourism agency. The legislators want to know how much Lagasse was paid. The Florida House of representatives demanded last week that producer Pat Roberts and his company turn over records by Tuesday or risk hefty fines and even jail. Roberts has sued in federal court to block release of the records. Lawyers for Roberts contend he could be sued if the information is revealed. Visit Florida paid at least $10 million over a five-year period for the show. The show aired on The Cooking Channel.

Food Network should be renamed to the Competition Food Network. I used to watch this channel all the time but now there's way too many competition shows not to mention all the reruns...it sucks cause it used to be really good. Emeril was great!
Michael Song I definitely agree. I watch a few shows there still but get sick of the drama that comes with all the food competition shows. I've been watching more cooking shows on PBS lately and they even have a great food competition show in The Great British Baking Show that is nothing like the crap competition shows on Food Network.
I don't mind competitions that are straightforward, where it's just chefs making their best thing and comparing them, maybe with a theme. Like who makes the best Texas style chili, or which pastry chef makes the most elegant wedding cake or whatever. The ones that are filled with stunts, backstabbing and petty personality clashes can go though.

I'm very glad that Emeril is clearly doing well. His work passing on his love for food, service and drink, is bound to reap dividends for those who have been helped by the foundation he runs. Emeril is a kind and generous person, who when Katrina devastated New Orleans, set about to find the people who were kitchen staff, wait staff and those who worked in ancillary positions for the food service industry. He then went about helping those people and their families to regain their footing and get back to the restaurants they worked in, some of them all their lives. That's the kind of person, Emeril is, one who'll help you to get back on your feet and working so that you don't lose but win in the game of life. He's been a blessing to all the people of NO who wanted to come back, they were the backbone of the food service industry in a city known for wonderful, exquisite, and amazing food.

Emeril Live taught me so much about cooking and inspired me so much. I started watching the show and recorded it while I was at work. My mother had to have surgery for Thyroid Cancer in 2000 and was bed ridden for months due to Radiation Treatments. My father's maximum capability for cooking was to open a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup only to add ketchup and mustard to it, then crush up Christie's Premium Saltines in the soup to make it "Extra Special Gourmet Soup". Emeril Live taught me so much that I started to cook healthy dinners, progressed to lunches, and finally making breakfast for both of my parents before leaving for work. Emeril's Cooking Shows, plus his website, and returning email questions about recipes made me capable enough to create ALL meals for my parents (Dad from 1999 to 2009 and Mom from 1999 to 2012 during each of them passed away. Emeril has taught me so much that I can never thank him enough. I wish that he was still on Food Network Canada. By the way, the Bullshit Reality Shows are the reason why I have stopped watching FoodNetwork Canada and FoodNetwork USA. I would rather watch shows that actually teach me something that Bullshit Reality Shows.
Emeril: Do You! I adore you! I'll never forget the FN show when you had your little boy on. LOL! He took charge of his little thing he was mixing up, got right up on his little stool, cooking on TV right alongside Dad. And you let him do his thing, without much supervision by you.....you let him run with whatever he was doing....occasionally you would say to him, "Hey Deej, like this"....he would make the audience laugh with his responses. SO CUTE! All the best, Emeril, to you and your family for a healthy, happy Christmas! Thank you for everything you have taught us. We love you! God bless you!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
If anybody from food network is listening, this is the reason I stopped watching. Reality shows are crap. I want to learn technique and procedure not place some schmo in a situation to watch them fall on their face and laugh. Worst cooks is a prime example.
Owning an ad agency we attended an "Emeril Live" show back in Jan 2007 as a guests of one of the media cable companies...the show was called "Winter in New England" and was served the meal sitting up front...lots of fun and excitement... so was Emeril.
Used to watch his show daily when I've moved to the US, didn't understand a word at first but definetly was a major help getting to learn the language, can't forget when he ask the public: Are you with me so far??? another one was : and then I've asked myself, SELF..... He was a show man, my favorite ever!!!

Uh, because he has millions of dollars and owns restaurants all over the world and doesn't have to do anything he doesn't feel like doing anymore?
I 'm so happy every morning. A channel called DABL has 2 episodes of Essence of Emeril and 1 episode of Emeril LIVE. What a treat.
Bam
"How bout them apples!" Emeril is the BEST!!! He's still doing what he loves and will not become a puppet
He's too busy playing Fortnite
Owning an ad agency we attended an "Emeril Live" show back in Jan 2007 as a guests of one of the media cable companies...the show was called "Winter in New England" and was served the meal sitting up front...lots of fun and excitement... so was Emeril.
So heartening to know that he is still going strong & doing what he loves ♥️
Used to watch his show daily when I've moved to the US, didn't understand a word at first but definetly was a major help getting to learn the language, can't forget when he ask the public: Are you with me so far??? another one was : and then I've asked myself, SELF..... He was a show man, my favorite ever!!!
Who cannot like such a humble man. Since a youngin i've been watching Emeril. And still do!!
This man is was a great chef, cook and person. I respect him every day.
