You’re exactly right!!! During COVID I was SEVERELY DEPRESSED! I couldn’t find purpose in anything! I started to deteriorate mentally and physically. I eventually got my CDL, got a job within 3mos, started making money and I started getting back pain and frustrated with my job. I started going to the gym and I started to see myself as a strong person. I feel in love with the feeling of the gym. I noticed I wasn’t working out during COVID so I started to develop anxiety & depression. My self esteem was at an ALL-TIME LOW! I also changed my BELIEF about working out as well. It’s a PART OF BEING A MAN! It’s been 3 solid years and I’m not backing down! It’s part of protecting my masculinity! I also notice how ppl treat you differently when you’re in shape! It’s literally the best thing a man can do!!
Your story is a powerful example of what it means to be resilient, especially in overcoming both physical and mental challenges. When a man is at his lowest, it’s a test of whether he’ll rise or fold, and you chose to rise-overcoming depression along the way is no small feat. Working on your body isn’t just about looking good; it’s about reinforcing your mental and emotional strength too. The gym becomes a battlefield where you conquer your doubts and build the man you were meant to be. Stay strong and keep pushing forward-protecting your masculinity and growth is a lifelong journey. Much respect for conquering those dark moments man.
I work in medicine and basically train with calisthenics and a jump rope. Women find the smallest excuse to get all handsy this includes nurses and patients lol. I gotta act all professional cause I like paying my bills haha.
Haha… I understand that. On another note keep up the work with calisthenics and jump rope. I added the jump rope to my routine and man… that exercise helped me cut body fat down while building muscle. Respect brother.
When a man is at his lowest point he has a CHOICE: To be strong or to fold. This is why you have hard drug addicts, jailbirds, woman-pleasers, snitches, etc., There aren’t many REAL MEN out there!
