Dear Borbala! I watch every video of yours and every time I am amazed and amazed, because insight into the “soul” of music can only be heard from guitar luminaries such as Andres Segovia. What I once played simply as etudes to warm up my hands, in your interpretation turns into a masterpiece. You once wrote that you had a good teacher. Now you are a university professor yourself, and a surprisingly modest one at that. I looked at your photographs, hoping to unravel the secret of your genius. Having enlarged one of them, I saw that in your eyes the world is reflected as in a mirror! You also once joked that you knew the devil like Paganini, but I never saw anything devilish in your appearance, only light, warmth, goodness and beauty. We often see guitarists mostly thinking about the external aspect of performance, i.e., sitting down in a nice room or hall, dressing brightly, rolling their eyes, rocking in a chair, and so on. And your goal is to show music and only music through the most modest means. I’ve listened to the “Arabic Capriccio” a thousand times, but how it was probably created and performed by Tárrega himself, only your guitar told me, I was simply speechless with amazement: so this is how it should sound in reality!? I hope to see you at the most prestigious guitar competition. No matter who is chosen as the winner, you will still be the best!!! Smile! Be happy!!!
Dear Alex! This comment really touched my heart for several reasons. First, thank you very much for your appreciative and truly inspiring words. It was after uploading this video that I first wondered if it really made sense to make these recordings and upload them week after week. As you put it so many guitarists are concerned with the external aspects of the performance not the music and yes unfortunately this is becoming a tendency. Yet if you look closer these recordings and performers have hundreds of thousands of followers with hundreds of thousands of views. Without any musical inspiration at all, offering a musical world to guitar music loving listeners and in many cases adult learners that does not show how diverse and wonderful this world, the world of music, is. And then you get such a beautiful comment... Because that's what it's really worth doing, that's why we sit down to practice day after day and that's why we get out on stage to make music, to show that wonderful world of classical music. Thank you for reflecting what I want to show and represent. PS. I haven't participated in competitions for a long time, I think I've really outgrown it :-), but when I did I was fortunate to be mostly appreciated by the judges. Have a lovely Weekend!
@@borbalaseres Dear Barbara! I always get upset when I see that artists like you have fewer views than other "performers", on whom it is a pity to waste time. And I'm always afraid that you might drop the channel because of this, but I hope you don't do it without a good reason. About two years ago, one guitarist, whom I consider to be a very good teacher, spoke bitterly about the general decline in interest in the guitar. To be honest, I can't understand why people began to be released on stage, to whom, it seems, no one has ever shown even how to hold a guitar in their hands, it always hurts to even look at such disrespect for such holy instrument. But that there are guitar knights like you is a blessing! Thanks for that!

@@tony89718 Dear Antony, unfortunately I wrote my dissertation in Hungarian, but maybe one day I will translate it into English. It's really a very interesting topik with many techniques, all of which are amazingly effective if you use them well. In the meantime if you are interested in the subject it is worth reading Lesley Sisterhen McAllister's book The Balanced Musicians, she covers quite a lot of areas of mental techniques.
Muchas voces, muchos ritmos y tempos, muchos ecos y sotto-voces renuevan esta conocida pieza en una versión personal y muy musical. Espléndido!

Thank you for the information on Francisco Tarrega and the composition. It is beautiful. I had only heard Lagrima before this.

Thank you Linda! Nice to see you here!
I'm so glad you took out the slurs in the beginning measures. Tarrega sounds so much better without so many slurs.
You are right, sometimes slurs are unnecessary and the pieces sound much better without them, as in this case.
mesmerising!
Thank you!
Köszönjük Borbála ezt az újabb felemelő csodát. Szerintem Tarrega sem gondolta, hogy a darabjának ilyen mélységei vannak.
