I'll get it to test out last gen performance. Would be cool to have it playable in the xbox one. Lots of nostalgia on that console. Maybe they learn to better optimize the game by making this port and it allows them to make performance tweaks to the next gen versions aswell
it's a weird choice, and i hope it doesn't take focus away from fixing and updating this game and making the next one as i'd rather them fully focus on making that the best it can be, but at the same time it's one of the best star wars games so making it more accessible by having it on more platforms is a good thing.
if they still cant get it running properly on pc in those open areas then no way they can make it smooth on last gen, I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel this tbh

For DLC we will probably get Ahsoka Tano lightsaber parts or outfits in conjunction with the release of the show. I would love to have at least the black poncho hoodie that Ahsoka wears on the show! The same with Bad Batch season 3, probably get blaster parts or Clone Armor outfit or colorways. Would love a small story DLC though, but that is very doubtful.

I have a feeling ahsoka is gonna be the start of the Jedi series starting to connect to the larger live action verse. It's just real convenient that Ezra disappeared somewhere and now we have survivor giving us a whole planet that was hidden from the empire & republic? Yeah, this is 100% connected! I can totally see both skeleton crew & the acolyte having Easter eggs as well, but I think ahsoka is gonna be the big splash so to speak.

They don't "believe" that a lot of people haven't upgraded yet. It is openly known that the destribution of Playstation players is roughly 50/50 between Ps4 and Ps5. I myself just recently uprgraded(a big reason beeing Jedi survivor😂). For the question how it will probably run on last gen consoles: In my experience, just like you said too, even Fallen Order didn't run particularly stable on Ps4. I don't have much hopes for the last gen port of survivor. I could imagine that especially on Koboh the playable area will be heavily seperated by additional loading gates, the graphic will be scalled down big time and I wouldn't even be shure if there will be stable 30fps at 1080p.
I would love to experience this game, but it's still broken on pc. Even with a cutting edge graphics card I want to experience a great game. Not get frustrated just like dead space remake.
@@cody1016 you don’t have to learn scratch to understand this. Play this on pc with the best hardware and you’ll find out the fps is barely above 60fps. The reason this happens or has happened was because from launch the game would not use the VRAM required and how it utilised the processor to provide a consistent frame rate, which is why on launch at least you saw people even when changing the settings couldn’t get it to run higher or lower. Also, this wasn’t just a pc port issue either, it happened to both next gen consoles on release. Is it playable now? Yes, but it struggles. That’s why I find it ridiculous, the game would have to have the best patch ever to exist that fixes the game so well that last gen can enjoy it. But from how slow they’ve been, it’s very unlikely, and I’d rather they focus on making the current platforms run smoother

Games the more complex they are, the harder they are to render and load without the right hardware. You can optimise the game to run for older hardware but eventually you’ll have to cut down on the complexity to a point where main mechanics and levels will have to be squished down. Because older hardware will always be inferior to the current models. It’s why games like the force unleashed for both the ps2 and ps3 had completely different level design or combat, because the ps3 version could not be trimmed down well enough to support the ps2’s hardware, so they had to downscale the game so much that they became two separate experiences. This is best case scenario. Now have a team that don’t know how to optimise their game for the current hardware, and now tell them to optimise their game for older hardware. Now that’s a recipe for disaster, we saw this with cyberpunk when last gen came out. And it wasn’t pretty. If I can understand the gist of how optimisation is handled. Then idk what gives you the right to downplay my comment as if you’re a game designer, I may not be one myself but I am currently studying it.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but for me the main problem with the game is that if youve already got platinum on your first playthrough, the main story is actually incredibly short and not enough for me to warrant a second playthrough. Pretty sure somebody has a vid on youtube where the clear it in about 4 hrs. Would rather see them put the money into some cool dlc.
