Really interesting stuff! Currently trying to understand how I would fit into the quant world, doing a masters in Computer science and a Master's in Statistics at the same time. I often see myself liking the stats side more however the computer science helps me realize my stats ambitions. It's further complicated by fluctuating interests. One day I'm really into the stats and the other day I just want to code without a thought about stats. Only time can tell!
Very nice video , i define myself as a quant trader . Basically , i do program developement for particular replication strategy(self-financing trade strategy) for higher moment contracts (heavy in Stoch Calculus, but applied to specifical assets traded daily ).
Hey Dimitri, I’m an Econ undergrad with a minor in math and doing a certificate in finance alongside my degree. If I want to get into risk management as a quant (or banking in general), do you think getting an MA in Econ is enough to get my foot through the door? Alternatively, I could prolong my undergrad and take classes so I qualify for a Stats MA or an applied math MA. My question is - do you think it’s worth it to switch over, or is it more efficient to be self-taught in math/stats/programming while I get my MA in economics
Hey buddy , I am in the same situation right now as u were 2 years back ..would u like to share how u are doing now and what path did u take back then ?

Hi, thanks for the video. Would you say Quantitative Researchers are real quants that developed models/strategies?
Yes
Great video Dimitri
Hey cousin, make a video talking about Investment jobs VS Risk Managment jobs please!
These videos are always helpful thank you
Do you think AI will replace quant?
No. Quants are the ones actually building ML and AI for the quant space. There will always be a need to build and maintain models.
@@DimitriBianco Do you think AI will replace traders then?
Hey Dimitri,

I would get a statistics masters even if it takes you a little longer. A stats masters will open a lot more opportunities than an econ masters.

I am definitely a slow thinker !!!😅
