are any of the creatures in this game aggressive? it looks gorgeous and i'd love to play but i have a pretty bad fear of the ocean (especially the open areas... i never finished subnautica bc of it)

@@oliviatilleman8055In the previous game there were aggressive/dangerous creatures but they’d just take a bit of oxygen if they hit you. However, just like the last game, we’re likely getting an item to pacify them
@@oliviatilleman8055 Yeah. In Blue World some sharks were a bit, "I don't like you bro". Or there were like electric eels or caimans that wouldn't be a danger unless you got too close. But don't worry, there are no real injuries. Just your oxygen acting as a 'health bar' so to speak. Not as intense as Subnautica
I actually cried when this was revealed. As someone who's been obsessed with the ocean and everything in it almost my entire life, Endless Ocean (in particular, the first game, I didn't pick Blue World up until much later in life unfortunately) was a game I spent countless hours playing growing up. I came home from school one day to find my mother had randomly picked it up for me since she saw "ocean" in the name and thought I'd enjoy it. I will never forget my first dive in-game, my first orca found, or my first time seeing that amazing Ancient Mother, I was blown away by it all. I actually still have that same copy of the game and my original save file still, and I tend to revisit it every now and then. I can't say I expected a revival of this series to ever happen, but am I glad it did, and I'll definitely be pre-ordering this one. This is one of those games where they may not have a super big fan base, but the fans it does make are lifelong and beyond, as the ocean herself 💙 🐬
Yeah, I’m really excited for endless ocean. But when I die and enter heaven I want to explore the vast geographical areas with Jesus Christ and gone family members. But this game will hold me until then I’m so excited to play this sequel.
Endless Ocean 2 was perfection to me, it's in my top 2 favourite games of all time. I did get it spoiled, and still I cried

I have such fond memories of my mom and I taking turns playing the original and blue world. this series kickstarted my love for marine life and the ocean. this series singlehandedly made me seriously consider studying marine biology in college in spite of my difficulties with math and numbers. I cannot put into words how excited I am for the chance to play a new endless ocean game as an adult
endless ocean and its sequel are what inspired me to get on the path to becoming a zoologist and marine biologist. i played these when i was 8 and now i'm in college, next quarter i'm taking a salish sea class and i'm going to be out on the ocean for 3 weeks just like in blue world. i always dreamed there'd be a remaster to switch one day, i never thought we'd actually get a sequel :,,,) this is a great day for all endless ocean fans, i almost teared up when i saw the trailer in the 10 minutes i had before i went to chemistry class

This game made me want to be a marine biologist so bad, but I get horrible sea sickness so I'm not cut out for the work :( but I'm glad to see someone living the same dream I had as a kid. I hope your diving journeys bring you that sense of joy like the game could :)
I also almost cried but in my English comp. class ;-; I found out through my professor telling me; he got enjoyment out of seeing my raw emotions about this game. I had to hold back from crying 0_o

My neighborhood gathering of kids would always be encouraged to play this. I thought it was for education, my mom later shared that the younger kids would fall asleep to the soothing music and ocean sounds 😂
The first Endless Ocean was the reason I stopped being _extremely_ afraid of the ocean, and started absolutely loving it and became fascinated with it as a kid. It was mostly sharks that made me scared of it, but when I encountered a great white in the game for the first time, and got to read a little more about them, I learned they really weren't that scary at all, and learned just how much I didn't know about them!
I played Blue World _immensely,_ put 500 hours into it! Training all the partners, finding all the coins and salvageables (seriously, why would anyone throw a super computer into the Zahhab Region Depths?!), etc.. Loved every single minute of it!
These games are a core memory for me, and I absolutely *cannot* wait for this one!

I'm right there with you! I have about 500 hours in Blue World too, and completed the entire game. Didn't finish the original Endless Ocean (filling out the encyclopedia and getting all salvage items) until much later though, since those salvages in particular were really hard to find.
This announcement might finally convince me to get a Switch!
I knew what this was the moment i heard the breathing sounds - I played Blue World so much the sound effects are ingrained in my brain.
Super excited for this, and hopefully the original two games will someday come back too!
I'm glad it's a whole new game and not just remakes of 1 and 2 as some youtubers suggested, though remakes eventually would be vastly appreciated. So happy this day has come for the Endless Ocean community :')

Despite my best efforts, I have not been happy for a very long time and when my dad died over five years ago, I’ve felt empty and when I moved back to the UK I never got the chance to scuba dive again. But for the first time in my current lifetime, seeing this, some semblance of happiness has been returned to me and words are not enough to describe how good this feels.
I'm sorry for your loss and this Endless Ocean Luminous trailer brought you happiness again. Happy diving and exploring when the game releases.

I, a 43 year old dude, just started screaming at 11:50 pm and my family was like “What!?!? What happened!?!” To which I screamed “A NEW ENDLESS OCEAN IS FINALY COMING OUT FOR THE SWITCH! AAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Both the original and sequel were my favorite games of all time. We would turn off all the lights at night and just let the blue glow fill the room like we were really there as we explored for hours and hours. When those songs hit at those perfect moments….I’m gonna tear up so I’ll stop. THANK YOU FOR THIS NINTENDO!!!!!

@@alessiocece2098 It's not that much different from Endless Ocean 2's. That one showed the animals and the different locations just like this one, as well as the Pulsar and Scanner. They showed a corridor and the outside of the Cavern of the Gods. They showed that some animals were hostile. And that's it. They didn't show Nineball Island, or the characters, or any story details, or any of the missions, or the character customisation, or special creatures, or dolphin partners and training, or the documentary-like cutscenes, or the on-land parts, or the Aquarium... I'm sure there's more than we just haven't seen yet.
Finally. I used to play this game in memory of my mother because she loved the ocean and marine life. I have both the original and the blue world

I have Endless Ocean 2, it's one of my childhood games. And now I think I'm gonna play it again.
Though... the trailer really emphasized the gameplay and multiplayer, but it said nothing about the story and characters.
The story and characters are a great aspect of this series and I hope that they won't fail in that department.
Considering the world is randomly generated every time you leave your boat, there's probably not going to be a story, and you probably won't interact with other characters.

I would say, still hold out hope. In the original endless ocean, blue world trailer, the only time we ever saw any of the main cast would be GG standing in the background of photo shoots. I think they’re just hyping up a general audience. We might still have a chance.

The first game made me actually try scuba diving in real life and developed a deep love for the sea, I stoped for quite some time due to me moving somewhere that had no coast. It was by October of last year that I went back to scuba diving, and now, here I am, barely holding my tears of excitement for how important these games were for me, I am so excited to explore the vast blue sea, in real life and on my switch.

Both my brother and I are PADI Dive Masters that worked as Dive Guides every summer. If we wasn’t diving in real life we would play the games to death.
@@jacklongman3907 that's great, really! I got my Open Water certification when I was 10 years old, and then at 17 I got the Advanced one. Now I'm 24! But me and my father only go diving during the summer, so meanwhile I'll play this game! Ahah! Maybe we'll play all together with your brother one day!

I’m so, so beyond excited for this. I’m a marine biology student who grew up with the first two games, I don’t ever get emotional for game announcements but this really got me in the feels.
This looks awesome, I love the idea of unique dives and adding PREHISTORIC CREATURES (also a huge prehistory fan!). beautiful game
I learned that the sailboat was called the Gabbiano which means "seagull" in Italian. Hayley Westenra sang so beautifully, she is like the world's greatest "siren".
The only thing that could make this better is the inclusion of the Hayley Westerna song from the original game!
My childhood! I never expected to see a new Endless Ocean. I hope it includes some of the progression systems that Blue World had, like the treasure hunting, aquarium, jobs, etc.. But even if it's just diving, I'll still appreciate it. I don't know if I'm too thrilled about the prodcedural aspect though, since I really liked trying to fully explore and chart the locations in the early titles.
I am fully in awe, and in tears. I grew up playing the previous two Endless Ocean games, and they encouraged me to become an actual certified diver as soon as I was old enough. These games have inspired me in a way that most other games could never- they actually made a real, physical difference in my life. Diving is one of my greatest passions, and I owe it all to this game. I’m telling all of my friends and getting them to play, too!
To see Endless Ocean of all franchises to return, is pretty cool. Shocked they didn't forget they published the original!

I just moved into my first apartment with my girlfriend the other day and upon unpacking my Nintendo wii I immediately saw my old copy of Blue World and was immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia. I’ve been checking the online news and forums since the early 2010’s for any info on a new game and even had dreams of playing a third endless ocean game. This feels like a longtime coming and honestly made my year to see. I knew they wouldn’t forget about such an amazing game and series overall
This is genuinely the most excited I've been for a game in a long time. I played Blue World obsessively as a child, and even again recently. It was just as good as I remembered... And now it's even better.

I played 1 and 2 so much 12 years ago when my grandmother died. Those ganes brought me so much comfort when I was a little kid. Im so happy the series is making a comeback, it'll be a blast of nostalgia and new joy

I am not kidding when I say this is probably one of my favorite sleeper games of my childhood. I thought there was no world where Endless ocean would get a sequel, yet I find myself looking at a brand new entry after god knows how long and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I actually sent a letter to Nintendo a few months ago to tell Arika to make another endless ocean installment. Guess they listened.
Blue world was my absolute favorite game as a kid but I always thought endless ocean was too niche to get another installment, this is such a dream come true!!

Played the original game on Wii. Never knew there was a sequel on the Wii when I bought a used copy half a year ago at a garage sale. Now they are making another one!

PLEAAASEEEEE feature Hayley Westenra again on this new series like you did before! She's done many other ethereal recordings since the last two episodes like Paradiso under Ennio Morricone. They would 100% complement the game and re-create the atmosphere your players fell in love with first.
I genuinely thought I was one of the only people who had such a connection to this game. But, reading the comments, I realise I was never alone.
My Wii was around my nan and grandad’s house. I was so young that my grandad pretty much had to play for me, because I had no idea of subtlety when it came to moving the remote. More than a decade later and I still play it sometimes, trying to 100% it.
The artifacts are terrible to find though. Completely random. But I’ll have them all eventually. They give me an excuse to swim around my baby years again.
This is a dream come true, a new Endless Ocean, I've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours on the Wii playing it, and sometimes I go back and play some.. I've always hoped for a Switch one, this is such a great news😍

I'm replaying Endless Ocean 2 and came here because I forgot how to escape in the end, and found this. I definitely have to get a Switch now of only for this game.

Yes. it's called Endless Ocean Luminous
Only the creatures are so realistic, like take that Long-spine Porcupinefish 1:20 see how it puffs up and you can hear the sound of the whale song 1:24.
Not to mention, according to the announcer, you can play with 30 players, and discover species who thought to be extinct, and new mythical creatures like that 1:31.

This game better have some immersive and good music that’s not only relaxing and beautiful but also cause fear like endless ocean blue world
