Nice win, this is when I dislike America (and only for this reason)........ We've been to vegas 3 times and are booked again for Nov 18. I was "lucky" enough to get a handpay last year, but the casino staff were useless when asked how I get my 30% deduction back. Your tax service are equally useless with information. Its been 6 months now, and I still haven't had any information from IRS.
Its totally different here in UK, any and all gambling winnings are completely tax free (even the lotto - - - a couple won £160000000, thats about $225 million - - - - - they pay no tax, and get a cheque for the entire amount, they only pay tax on the interest). So, I've given up with the $400 tax paid........ not worth the hassle of dealing with bureaucrats and the bollocks they talk
