Lena, are you saying that we do not need to put the silk/dye in hot water at all if we are willing to stir it and then let it sit for about 20 min? I have already premixed my powder dye in very hot water and then added vinegar. Now it is cool, can I simply add it to cool water and then add my silk?

Thank you. I am diving into the world of Nuno Felting. I have experience dyeing wool ... seems like they are very similar.
