- Hey everyone! We hope that you've been having a wonderful festive period. In this video, we share what our plans are for the new year, as well as some of the things we've been up to this month. Be sure to stay tuned until the end and you'll get a wonderful festive treat, filmed at Longleat Safari Park a couple of weeks ago.
We're talking about what we're planning for the channel in the new year, including visits to Wales, Italy and Canada. We're also discussing the work we do for other RUclips channels, namely @AnnetteJosephstyle and @ProducerMichael, and address the question that a number of you have been asking us, the fact that we are no longer working with the Mapperton Live or American Viscountess RUclips channels.
We have a lot planned for 2023 and we can't wait for you to join us on the journey. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and watched our videos this year. This is only the beginning...

No new jeans for Christmas then, great knees LOL - awesome videos taking me away from my attention to work & more work these years, due to & following Covid, lifestyle change & no time for holidays or breaks so viewing your travels is great. Looking forward to Canada, love the nation & people, hoping for a grizzly sighting when you're camping out LOL :D 21.2'F is the answer for -6'C. 35'C is 95'F. It was 114'F when I was in Sacramento, about the hottest I got anywhere. Have a wonderful 2023 & enjoy the filming & we'll enjoy the results :D My former Spanish lodger increased his RUclips income to £ 6,000 a month out of interest with up to 750,000 daily viewers & over 1,000,000 followers at his peak. Just a target for you :D
Stephen's new year's resolution is to wear more joins without holes in them! We can't wait to bring you plenty more content this year, thank you for your continued support. I love your videos. They are sit down for a cuppa so you don't miss anything. If you want to up your subscribers you need to do daily videos, so RUclips highlight you and more people see you. Aww thank you so much, we are so glad you are enjoying our videos, thank for your support. We would love to get to a point were we can do a video a day but sadly, at the moment we just don't have the time. We work full time editing and filming for other RUclips channels. We have also found from experience that doing things in parts, tends not to do as well. Thank you for the top tip for Canada, we will definitely make sure we pack that 😊

I cannot wait to see your trip to Canada! I'm a Canadian-American living in California and I love to see other people's trips throughout Canada. The best is when travelers find out they cannot just drive easily from one end of Canada to the other in a reasonable time. Not sure which province you're traveling to, but let us know and some of us Canadian viewers can suggest some sights and places to eat! Happy New Year and all the best for 2023!
We are so excited to share out Canadian adventures with you later this year. We will be going to British Columbia, Kelowna. Claire's family already have lots planned, hikes and camping, but any recommendations would be great, thank you 💕
@@StephenandClaire that’s fantastic! Kelowna is so gorgeous. My mom used to live there, but she moved to a tiny mountain area called Agassiz in BC. There is definitely a lot of hiking around lakes and trails in Kelowna. Lots of history with mining gold rush and the train system), and VERY VERY exceptional wines! I tell Americans about Canadian wine and they give me funny looks - but tbh, Canadian wine (from the Okanagan and Niagara regions) is some of the best wine in the world! If you’re not a wine drinker, the Okanagan ciders are amazing to drink as well. It might be weird to say this, but try the different varieties of apples while you’re there. It’s one thing I miss about BC is the apples! There used to be a British Shop in Kelowna called Limey that was downtown and I used to order foods like sausages and tea and scones to be delivered to my mom - I wonder if it’s still there? You’ll see a lot of British influence in BC because the Brits originally settled the west of the country. Most grocery stores have a ‘British’ aisle with all the favorites! That’s the first thing I do when I visit my mom in BC is go shopping for British food. 😝 There will be so many opportunities for Claire to photograph nature! Lots of eagles and wildlife for sure. Have loads of fun! 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 ✈️
Talk of the weather is always appreciated - it puts you in the moment with people across the pond. And I'm amused, living near Chicago, that -6 C is considered cold. At a certain point when it's below freezing it's no longer about the temperature, but all about how windy it is indicating how quickly you can get frostbite. We had to put the heater on for our chickens during storm Elliot in the lead up to Christmas. We were at -14 F without the wind. Unfortunately it was extremely windy so we hunkered down inside!
Wow, -14! I'm glad you hunkered down and stayed safe, and that the chickens stayed warm. We feel silly complaining about -6 now 🙈
