    Here, you will discover:
The physical reality, the material world we inhabit, is only a small part of the whole. There is a metaphysical field that links everyone and everything, in which we are submerged like fish in water. This unifying principle, identified by Carl Jung as God himself, sees nature, psyche, and life as the divinity deployed in this video. We are going to decode the metaphysics of yoga, and by metaphysics, I am not referring to paranormal phenomena, but to the essence of being, things, creatures, and phenomena. For this, we will draw upon the fantastic book "Decoding Jung’s Metaphysics" by the philosopher and scientist Bernardo Castrup, whose work is leading the modern renaissance of metaphysical idealism-the notion that reality is essentially mental.
Unlike Freud, who believed that the unconscious was simply a passive repository of forgotten or repressed contents, Jung postulated that the unconscious is an active and creative matrix with a psychic life, will, and language of its own. He argued that it often clashes with our conscious dispositions. The fundamental concept underlying all of Jung's work and all of psychology is that of the psyche, a term derived from the Greek concept of soul, referring to the human mind in the most general and complete sense.
The human mind is divided into three layers: the upper layer is the consciousness of the ego or self, which is what we normally identify with in our usual waking state. The middle layer is the personal unconscious, where a multitude of contents reside that we do not directly perceive but still influence the ego. These contents include buried memories, fears, traumas, desires, and taboos. Sometimes, these unconscious contents cross the threshold of consciousness, becoming visible to us. The lower layer, which is primordial and existed before everything else, is the collective unconscious. Its contents are never directly seen but influence us intensely and unpredictably. Our ego is always surrounded or enveloped by the collective unconscious, much like an island in the ocean.
